While the food was fine...
I just didn't find the experience to be as FAB as I have in the past.
Perhaps it is because we just keep getting new amazing places?
Not sure...but they need to up the game a bit.
Tried the hamburger this time - which I had passed on in earlier visits -
Glad I tried it - excellent as every thing else.
I went for a business lunch. I had a salmon burger and it was tasty. My only complaint was that we were seated under one of the speakers. It was a bit loud. I had never had that problem before. I recommend Weights and Measures for lunch and for dinner prior to the theater.
I requested a quiet table and put that it was a birthday celebration in the notes. Neither request was mentioned. We definitely did not have a table in a quiet spot. The cheese board we ordered was good but some of the cheese looked like it had been sitting out - it had dried out areas. I ordered halibut and got a bite that had at least 6 bones in it. One piece of my halibut was good but the other half was dry - overcooked. This was our 4th or 5th visit to the restaurant. My meal on previous visits was better.
Terrific restaurant. Excellent meal--exemplary waitstaff.
Food was excellent! Great recommendations from the waiter. Ribeye meatballs, pork chop and crepe brûlée were wonderful!
Great food and service. Not too fussy. We went with children and they were very accommodating. I would definitely return.
We went here for a birthday celebration because it was close to MATCH, where we had theater tickets. Traffic made us 15 mins late, and we called the restaurant to let them know. On our arrival, we informed the staff that we had to leave in an hour for the theater and was told that that would not be a problem. The appetizer of Zucchini fritters was tasty but the fritters came in a strange honey sauce which was too sweet for an appetizer. As we were finishing it, our waiter informed us that our entre would be right along. Then we waited and waited and the waiter was not to be seen. The two tables next to us in the far back corner of the very large venue got their checks and cleared out. Staff came to vacuum around those empty tables. I let the man know that the vacuum was disturbing and he asked me if he could then sweep around the tables, leaving me feel guilty for interrupting him. The other tables were reset and empty. No entree came to ours. I saw our waiter and called him, and he said our entry was being plated and then disappeared. After five minutes, I called the man who had been sweeping and told him we had only 15 minutes left to eat. He brought the plates to our table with our check, a few minutes later. The food was good, but by now, our evening dinner had been ruined. We ate hurriedly and had no time left to order any of the desserts that the menu had made so attractive.
Well meaning but annoying server. A good server is attentive but unobtrusive. I felt sorry for our sever because he couldn’t help it but he was really annoying. Food was very good as usual
We made the reservation and then were told that we still had to wait the same amount of time as someone who did not have a reservation. It took forever to get the coffee.
Staff was friendly and helpful - great meal and wine pairing suggestions.
Great atmosphere. Server was excellent. Spinach was a little salty, but they were very accommodating and brought a new serving to us.
The service was exceptional. Courteous and tentative servers. We had several items from the Happy Hour Menu and they were excellent. The dessert of the day was carrot cake and it was delicious. It was loaded with raisins, and moist. The top was covered in huge walnut chunks. And, the frosting tasted like cream cheese! The flavors came through and DID NOT have that overly sweet, sickening sugar overload quality to it.
Waiter basically absent after he took our order. Salmon was raw in the center, was ordered at medium. Chicken and donuts - chicken was not even as good as I could get at a fast food restaurant. When we mentioned to the waiter that we didn’t care for the chicken (one of the few times he graced our presence) he just rolled his eyes and walked away. Didn’t expect a comp or anything like that, but not even an acknowledgement or ask if we would like to order something different.
Great meal but service was poor given they aim at a more fine dining experience in the evenings. I would still go back but maybe not with a group.
I received a call the day before to confirm my request for a birthday dessert to celebrate my friend’s birthday. This didn’t seem to be communicated to the wait staff, because I had to request it when they didn’t bring anything. The food was all right and the wait staff was friendly and attentive though.
Outstanding service. Great food. Waiter was the best!
Always great and fun due to waiters, bar tenders. Food innovative and good. Different items on menu each time and some good repeats. A favorite
Thank you Weights + Measures staff for accommodating all of my guests during my birthday celebration. Additionally, the waitress assisting our table was thoughtful and gifted me a freshly baked pastry. The food was tasty and filling and the atmosphere was soothing and welcoming.
From the moment we sat down till the check came it was heaven. Starting with drinks we ordered the meat plate - we are fans of charcuterie- and we paired it with the hummus. The drinks came- clean green? I think that’s the name - was a good choice - and shortly after we had beautiful appetizers in front of us. The hummus was topped with roasted mushrooms that could have been their own entree - the pita was nice and crisp. The bread was lightly toasted with several options to top including house-made pickled veg. Afterward we ordered dinner - the duck was divine. The gnocchiette was served with house sausage with a sage butter sauce. melted in my mouth. Tandoori chicken was tender and the polenta it was served with equally amazing. The pizza is always good. For dessert it was coffee, carrot cake and flourless chocolate cake with a chocolate ancho Chile gelato.... to. Die. For.
The atmosphere is fun, trendy, clean. The chairs are comfy and the tables spacious enough to seat anyone without feeling cramped. It was a lovely evening to be remembered. Thank you!
Fantastic lunch! The service was amazing and the grilled cheese was unique. Delicious and fun! Will definitely be back!
Brunch wasn’t anything special. The food/drink was average and the pastry menu was limited.
Great food and fun atmosphere!
First time and really enjoyed brunch!
Weights and Measures is one of our absolute favorites in Houston. Our dining experience last night for my wife’s birthday was phenomenal! We sat at the counter and got to overlook the kitchen. It’s so fun to watch all the amazing dishes being prepared. Every dish was executed perfectly and the chef went out of his way to make our night so memorable. Thank you so much to the entire amazing team for making my wife’s birthday so special. We can’t wait to come back again soon!
Our first time there for dinner, but had eaten brunch there often in the past. Couldn't have been treated better by Angela, their new GM and Tariq, our waiter. They gave great recommendations on both food, wine and the pairings. Good job on the fish, but especially on their hand made pastas. Really nice value. Highly recommended.
Charged 2.50 for a kids cup of milk. GTFOH.
Asked to switch cocktail liquor from vodka to gin. Sure. No problem. No mention that it would be an extra $5. For what? Using a different liquor!
Carrot cake cold and dry.
Avocado salad and carrot pizza where good though
We had dinner. The service was prompt and the waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was good, not great. When it got to the table it was warm, not hot. The chicken (2 of us ordered the Airline chicken) was moist which was great. The flavors were a little bland. The sweet potato mash was creamy and good. Nice texture. The other vegetable (broccolini, I think) was over cooked and soaked in butter sauce. It would have been nice to have the vegetable crisp and hot to add texture. The carrot cake was more on the dry side. So we probably wouldn’t have dinner here again, but we may try brunch.
Ira our waiter was exceptional and was really helpful for suggestions when a menu item had run out. We had a small business group and he was good in engaging the whole team. Thanks Ira!
Food was bland, lacking quality and execution. Also need better management
I went with a friend for Saturday brunch. My friend had avocado toast and I had the American breakfast. Both were delicious! The service was very attentive and friendly. Even the seating hostess could not have been friendlier. We did not have alcohol but saw a number of tables with tempting hand-crafted breakfast beverages. The best part of the meal was watching the two pastry chefs preparing breads, torts, cinnamon rolls, and even pretzels. They were amazing! The only opportunity I saw for improvement was the brewed coffee, which was served from a carafe and was lukewarm and very weak. When I go back, guess I will need to order a cappuccino.
I have been many times but this was the first time with my husband. Unfortunately it was a very off day. Service was not up to usual standards. Food took forever to come out. While good food, chips were bad and sandwiches that are normally full of meat, were lacking the normal quantity level. I don’t think I will get my husband back agin. He was not impressed and if this had been my first time, I would not return. I will try again as I am hoping this is a one off
This was my first time here for lunch. Food and service was great as expected. I brought my work colleagues and it was their first time here. They left happy and loved the food. Everyone found at least 2 or 3 menu items that they wanted. The atmosphere was lively but we were able to enjoy the conversation. I appreciated the attentive but unobtrusive service which made a good impression.
Food good as always
Service was inattentive and slow. Food was ok but not worth the money.
It is always good and they have great service. The food is very good and a bit creative which makes it interesting and delicious. We went for brunch and it is one of the best in Houston. They also have a wonderful bakery. The wait staff is professional and fun.
Reconnected with a fraternity brother after 30 years.
Dinner option is much better than the lunch options
Celebrated a wonderful birthday lunch with girlfriendsz. The smell of freshly baked goods permeates the room when you arrive! Salad are delicious but the star of the show was the carrot pizza. Amazing! A little sweet and a little spicy. Definitely a do over!
