We recently moved to the area and have been wanting to try Webb's. We decided to go for lunch and we were not disappointed. They sat us in a nice booth with a view of the lake and the fireplace. The food was excellent. I had steak oscar and my husband had their famous chicken. Both were amazing and so were the sides. Attentive wait staff and great ambiance. A good place to try for sure!
Outstanding food, service and atmosphere!Great candy store and a cute little shop both attached to this unique lake side restaurant visit before or after dinner.
We had a lovely Easter dinner at Webb's. Great service, beautiful ambiance (fireplace roaring, pianist playing), comfortable round table, and the colorful pastel linen napkins were a nice Easter touch. Something for everyone on the menu -- we had filet mignon, shrimp au gratin, linguini, chicken parm as entrees, all with house salads and mashed/baked potatoes and everyone was happy with their meals. Nice wine list including several local wines by the glass. Great coffee & nice desserts. Never felt rushed and everything came out of the kitchen well-timed. Pretty view of the half-frozen lake. Definitely recommend!
We enjoyed Easter dinner. We were seated on a timely basis. Even though the restaurant was full, it still easy to carry on a conversation. The piano was a very nice touch. Music played was very enjoyable. Our waiter. Jim, Was excellent server. Very attentive. Continually checking on our needs and our satisfaction. He seemed to be truly interested in making sure we had a good experience. Look forward to returning.
Food was good, ambience, though dated, was nice. The problem was the wait staff. I don’t know if it was lack of training or what.
Our server, Jackie, didn’t tell us about any dinner specials. We heard them after we ordered from another server. We ordered French onion soup, salad and filet mignons. Our server brought the soup. Before we had eaten a third, she showed up with the salad and steaks. There was no point in sending them back, as likely they’d have thrown them under a heat lamp. We sat at 7:20, and by 7:55 we were done. Ridiculous.
My husband and I love Webb’s! It is our favorite restaurant when we are visiting Chautauqua. The food is delicious! We were seated right away at our reservation time. The service was great wonderful! Our waitress Emily was warm, welcoming and attentive. 5 stars for sure!
My husband and I went for Valentine's Day. They advertised Carriage rides for couples from 6 till 9. Our reservations were for 7pm. Planned on doing the carriage ride after dinner and they stopped doing it at 830. Was very disappointed.
We love the Valentine’s Day event. The carriage ride was so nice. This is our second year celebrating Valentine’s Day here.
We had a bad meal cold food the wrong food and the sever was useless
This is our go to place for those special occasions! Great food, service and always yummy specials! Summer dining on the deck and winter dining by the fireplace!
Wonderful family dinner by the fireplace. Service & food top notch...as usual!
The best place for service and awesome food thank you
we were pleasantly surprised with an excellent meal. The service was first class and the food was fantastic. A must go to when in the Chautauqua area. We will be back.
We decided to go to celebrate the NEw Year. The food was outstanding
Enjoyed a horse drawn carriage ride after dinner compliments of Webb’s. And finishes the evening with a warm cocktail at the bar.
Beautifully decorated for the holidays!! Class act through and through!!
Webb’s is one of my favorite restaurant service and has been for years. It isn’t beautifully decorated for all seasons. The food is delicious every time.
Another great experience. Always a nice time at Webb's.
Wonderful gem on Lake Chautauqua in Mayville! We drive from the Cleveland, Oh area just for lunch. But their Saturday evening dinners Dec to Feb with a complimentary horse drawn carriage ride are wonderful! It’s makes for a very special evening out. Totally recommend the filet mignon.
Food wash freshly and well prepared. Facility is dated and poorly layer out. Service was good but not fully attentive. Menu is pricey but reasonable for quality. Lunch menu is available for less expensive options.
Decided to treat my wife to a good night out and ended up here. The atmosphere was good, family friendly with a dining area separate from the bar scene. Staff was very friendly and attentive refilling water glasses and clearing empty plates from the table. Food was delicious, very well put together and the portion size was great, I like to eat and I ended up taking a to-go box home. Although it is more on the costly end of the spectrum I believe the overall experience is worth it. Absolutely one of the best places we have in this area. Mr. Ben Webb sure knows how to do things with excellence down there. Two thumbs up.
We sat at a table by the window and could see the lake. The service was quick. We both had the scallops and they were very good. They had the restaurant nicely decorated for Fall. It is a little pricey, for two with tip it was a little over $100. We each had an entrée and a glass of wine. We would recommend it and go again if in the area.
Great spot! I grew up on the ocean, and was pleasantly surprised by how amazing the lobster tails were. My meal was wonderful. My wife tried the Walleye and was very impressed. The waitstaff was pleasant and nonintrusive. I would go back again any time we are in the area!
Webb's is still my favorite restaurant. My husband and I have been coming here yearly for our anniversary, but I would recommend it for any gathering with family and/or friends. The food is always fantastic. The service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is original in its design, cozy, and right by scenic Chautauqua Lake. I am excited to go back!
I'm bias. Our wedding reception was at Webbs 3 years ago. We love it here and return every year.
Great food place in a small town. Consist good food and service. A place I stop in whenever I am in the area. Recommend this to all. On nice days an upstairs deck and bar overlooking the lake.
Outstanding meal. Excellent service. Superb ambiance. We had dinner indoors at a lovely table on a higher level overlooking the lake. 50th Anniversary celebration. enjoyed the entire evening.
Portions are very generous at Webb's. Dining on the upper deck or at a table with a waterfront view would be preferrable. Definitely for the Chautaugua tourist crowd.
I ordered the Lake Erie perch and was disappointed because there was more batter than fish. I ate only a little of the very greasy batter. I was sick with severe intestinal symptoms during the night and the next morning. I called the restaurant to tell them of this ( extremely rare for me) affliction but did not get a reply. I wanted to know if anyone else exhibited these symptoms which I shall report to the health department as my nurse advised me to do.
I have had good dinners (of walleye) at Webbs in the past, but this time was not good.
Dinner was excellent, it's a great place to celebrate any special occasion with family or friends. Food is always great and the service is excellent.
Food was great, service was great. Here's the BUT:
Major oversight running out of most brands of beer that they sell. Most of the guests in my party settled on a second choice (one after the third try), but I know that many people would be very disappointed to find out the restaurant they're having dinner in ran out of their favorite beer.
Will definitely visit again when I'm in town, however. And hopefully that oversight has been remedied.
Excellent food ,,outstanding service.attentive but not annoying. Our server Natalie was knowledgeable and made suggestions that were right on. Would recommend without hesitation.
Way over-priced menu. We ordered fried mozzarella just to be polite, but then asked for the check and went elsewhere to eat dinner.
I held this restaurant to a higher standard. Boy, was I disappointed. For the money they charge for dinner you'd think everything would be top notch. Apps served with no app plates, salads served with no silverware. Long wait for water refills. Food ok, not stellar for the money. We had a party of 8 on the deck but were not allowed to put tables together. Would not go back nor would I recommend to others.
Anniversary dinner. Wonderful food and outstanding waitress! Her name was a Jennifer.
We had very good food but the service was very slow. Too few waitresses trying to serve way too many customers
Overall, very good. Excellent prime rib! Staff and service are terrific!
I thought the food was very good, but, over priced. Disappointed that the whole menu was not available upstairs on the patio. All and all an enjoyable experience.
Food quality is consistently good. Great for large parties as well as small. Need to add a rose to their wine list.
The restaurant was very nice. Pricey. The only bad thing I could say is the tables are too small. we had a party for 5 and the small round table with all the clutter on it was hard to eat on.
Loved it as always! Great staff, excellent service
