   The ambiance was warm ,creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious, showcasing the skill of the chef. However, I found the prices to be quite high considering that they didn't use particularly expensive ingredients. Overall, the restaurant provided a wonderful dining experience with its cozy environment and excellent cuisine. However, I couldn't help but feel that the prices were a bit steep considering the ingredients used in the dishes. Despite this, if you're willing to splurge on a fine dining experience and appreciate the ambiance and well-prepared food, this restaurant is worth considering.

   As a foodie who used to live in Japan, this is my number one favorite kaiseki in Seattle. This is as good as it gets without flying international. Chef Hiro is the best!

   This was so good. Each course was presented so well and tasted so good. The staff was so nice. I had never had sake before, but have wanted to try some and never knew where to start - so I asked the waitress for some recommendations and she gave great ones. I had a glass of the seasonal sake and then a glass of desert sake. The people next to me had the companion flight (9 sakes that go with each dish), so I got to hear about each sake they were having, which was very interesting. Each dish had a blurb of information. The menu I had was so good. If I'm ever in Seattle again, I'm definitely coming back. Maybe next time I'll also do the sake companion flight.

    I think Wa'Z is a great experience for any traveled foodie. The dishes are unique and full of a lot of flavor. That being said, it is more of the foo foo type of food and I love food but sometimes I just want simple and the menu changes but it's always at the chef's discretion, thus some items were delicious and some were not but you don't get to decide and you wouldn't ever be able to have it again.

    Always a wonderful, thoughtfully prepared and presented meal at Wa’z. Loved the new february menu. Unlike other sushi places that offer pairings, the sake pairings are carefully curated to enhance each individual dish like a true pairing should be instead of one type per three dishes etc. sake pairings are a must, even if shared among two diners.

    I really enjoyed my dinner at wa'z. I brought my partner here for his birthday; the food was great -- we loved the new years theming, and we particularly liked the red snapper sashimi and the marinated black cod. I was also quite delighted by the small bouquet and birthday board at the end of our meal for the special occasion, and I think it made the day really special. Thanks!

    Food doesn’t worth the price. The only thing I enjoyed was the grilled Brussels sprouts. Zero communication between chef and customers. Worst omakase experience ever, very disappointed

    Extremely disappointing and I feel like we were defrauded. Some main ingredients (mackerel and seafood broth) appeared on the tasting menu multiple times. The food was not fresh and actually made us sick when we got home. All of the Sushi was rubbery, sashimi texture was all wrong like it had been frozen. Our rice balls were burned. The ice cream was good but we did not enjoy anything else that we had, some of it we didn’t even finish. Service was abysmal, there was no greeting or opportunity to ask questions or anything. My husband ordered premium sake flight and was given no explanation of the sakes chosen or suggestions for pairing. Price worked out to $250 per person after mandatory gratuity. For $250 per person that is more expensive than a Michelin star restaurant on the east coast that will give you impeccable service, fresh food, help you pair alcohol according to your tastes and menu, without reusing hero ingredients. There is absolutely nothing about this restaurant that I could recommend. What a bummer!

    Wa'z is one of my favorite Japanese high-end restaurants in Seattle if not the most favorite. Love the monthly-refreshed seasonal menu and the detailed introduction to the dishes and ingredients. Highly recommend the sake pairing that perfects the course. I was also pleasently surprised that the price hadn't been raised after a year of inflation.

    Made my 2nd visit of the year for Autumn menu. The chef and assistant remembered my dietary restrictions even though I didn’t specify. They also gave me a congrats board and flowers for my celebration. :) love it! Will come back again for summer next year
