Loved the oysters, the incredible whole wheat pasta (lobster!) and the fabulous salad. Great atmosphere, excellent service.
Delicious food! We had the fish and pickle chips and the burger. Very tasty patty. We could have done without the mustard but we still thoroughly enjoyed it!
We had the drink The Professor and it was nice and smooth.
The food is so good. We live in Philadelphia and always eat there when we visit our daughter. I look forward to the salad and whole grain pastas, especially the dish with crab and jalapeño peppers. Our waitperson, Jade, really took care of us with a smile.
Outstanding food-shared several dishes. The tomato pizza was one of the best we’ve had. Snails were excellent- burger and fries were of high quality. Strawberry rhubarb crostata with basil ice cream was divine!
Service was OK. Our waiter was very personable but had too many tables to cover.
We love Waypoint and plan to return.
Wonderful dining experience and waitstaff very attentive. Chopped claim pizza is outstanding!
Great food and service. The restaurant is a bit loud and the portion sizes are small. But overall excellent! We come here quite often and are always impressed.
Definitely care about their patrons and want to make it a great dining experience
We really enjoyed the food here. The Rib Eye was cooked to perfection. Our Octopus appetizer was four pieces for $18 which seems pretty steep. The service was great and attentive. The ambiance and decor seems undecided and kind of dark. We felt like we were seated in the middle of a thoroughfare of the restaurant and the decor seems to have many different concepts happening. Overall very solid meal though.
We were in town for a conference and landed at Waypoint kind of by accident, but it was the best "accident" I've experienced this year, lol. We experienced EVERY positive claim made in the reviews that I read prior to booking. The service was not just exceptional, it was the best I've ever had. The staff was kind, knowledgeable, accommodating, and definitely knew their wine. Every recommendation that they made was a bullseye. We ate our way through the menu with salad, vegetable, meat, seafood, and dessert selections. Everything was amazing. All of it. I will not visit Boston without eating at Waypoint in the future.
Wayfair was great! I loved the service, ambiance, cocktails and the food, but the portions were very small for the pricing...Leaving a place with a $330 bill while still feeling a bit hungry is never the most fun experience. I will admit we chose some pricy things however! There are plenty other things on the menu that are more filling/ less pricey. I would still 100% go back.
The service was very poor. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full and it took me and my friend 40 minutes to get 6 oysters! Than another 10 for our second appetizer that got delivered to a wrong table.
Our waitstaff never checked on us- there was no communication. Very disappointing as I had my eye on it for a while. The space is beautiful.
Really excellent! I especially enjoyed the whitefish pizza, the bluefish dish(mackerel was substituted last night), and the smoked shrimp!
I would have given it 5 stars but it was uncomfortably warm in the restaurant.
Great service, took the time to acknowledge our anniversary and offered complementary champagne/dessert for it. Pasta dishes were delicious, bread plate was tasty. Delightful experience with food to match.
Nice ambiance and good service.
Chopped tuna Crudo
Come dressed in your lightest clothes — it was HOT. Windows open and A/C too light. The red wine is served room temperature (70+ degrees) so if you like your red wine cool have it chilled.
Food was delicious. Service a little slow. But food was awesome and worth it.
Everything was excellent except the restaurant was SO hot. Would definitely try it again.
Louder than one might like, but vibe is fine, food is very good, as are drinks and wine. All told, a very positive experience.
I usually slum it when it comes to food and restaurants, so it was nice to visit Waypoint. I had lunch with 3 of my colleagues and we all had a really nice window booth, which was great at this time of year. One of my colleagues and I ordered the fish and chips, and it was lovely; however, the fish portion was small, so we were a bit disappointed - twice the size would've been better. However, the fish was super tender and the chips (fried pickles, I think) were different but so, so good!! One of our other colleagues had ordered a side of French fries, so we helped her eat them as there was a mountain of fries. In the end, we left feeling relatively fulfilled.
I'd recommend Waypoint but with the disclaimer that the portion sizes are smaller than what one might expect - on the other hand, has anyone SEEN the massive obesity epidemic in the Western world?? With that in mind, these portions are probably the right size.
The service was messy. They were friendly, but unorganized. The food was too salty!
As usual Waypoint was extraordinary! Excellent food, terrific service, delicious drinks - everything about Waypoint makes it a high value experience.
Not disappointed whatsoever. Was there celebrating my 31st wedding anniversary with my husband and felt very well taken care of. Food was outstanding. Only item I could have done without iwas the blue crab angel hair pasta but other than that I highly recommend everything on the menu.
I loved my experience at Waypoint. The food was exceptional and the ambiance is lovely. Even better, it's very quiet in the restaurant even while busy (which it always is), a rare thing these days.
One of the most memorable meals I've ever had. Thanks Waypoint!
Our server was poor and made many mistakes, however the manager intervened throughout the night and made accommodations for the mistakes, she was fantastic! The food was good but nothing special for the prices charged. With all the top quality restaurants in Cambridge I wouldn't return.
Delicious food at Waypoint! Service was a little slow. My dad ordered a caipirinha which the server did not seem to be familiar with. He noted that if the bartender didn't know what it was, a gin & tonic would be fine. The rest of our party received our drinks fairly quickly but for the next 45 minutes we continued to ask the server and then the manager where the caipirinha was. Don't know if it was an issue with the order/creation/ticket process or the bartender not knowing what it was. eventually they did bring over the drink. The manager was very kind and ended up comping the drink as well as two appetizers, but we still never understood the reason for the delay, they just kept saying they would check on it. They had the windows open since it was a warm evening, unfortunately if you are not near a window, which was the case for our table, the air was very hot. probably when the open the windows the AC doesn't work or is shut off. so temperature-wise, dinner was uncomfortable. All of that aside, the server and manager were very kind and the food and drinks were excellent! I would definitely recommend and return.
We ordered 2 dozen oysters and our server never asked about a drink order until after we had our oysters. They didn’t ask if we wanted something else. We had to request each order and asked for bread 3 times. Oysters and food (when we finally got it) was delicious
Delicious food and signature cocktails and incredibly friendly and attentive service
Went to Waypoint for a celebratory dinner. The food was wonderful and they had the windows open which was a great touch. The food was wonderful, but we had to follow-upon some of the dishes which seemed like they had been forgotten. Overall, a fantastic meal, and would definitely go back
Incredibly friendly service from all staff members we interacted with throughout the night. Had the lamb roast, was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.
The place is really good. Special tastes as you expected. A little expensive but worth it. The dishes are outstanding.
The only cons - noisy
Quality of the food is quite good, but the portions are very small and the prices are very large.
Food is delicious, creative and beautiful. My only critique is the place is sooo dark! We had to use our phones flashlight apps to be able to appreciate the plating and the different ingredients. I don't get the low lighting in restaurants.
Unique selections of wine and absinthe - great uni selection when in season
Went here for Father’s Day lunch with our 19-month-old. Service was wonderful. Everyone was so kind.
So we’ve had this place on our radar for a while and finally got to go for Father’s Day today for brunch. Started with a carafe of the mint lime daiquiri which was potent and pretty good. It’s a generous portion and could have easily been enough for 3-4. Between my husband and me, we left very happy and couldn’t finish it, though the effort was there. Our son had the pizza, Toni accommodated his topping preference of bacon. He thoroughly enjoyed it. They were out of the waffle dish and salmon bowl and both sounded good, so figures. Husband had the latkes Benedict and it was okay. The side of cheddar grits we added on was yummy. Brown butter pancakes were solid. We had a bit of a hiccup when we arrived but Toni the assistant manager went above and beyond to make our visit exceptional. She was so chill and gracious at the same time. She brought over the avocado toast on the house. With shrimp and pickled onions served on a buttery, thick crisp croissant square toast. So delicious. We ordered donuts for dessert but took them home as we were full. The cake donut with strawberry slivers was nice but the other two were raised and did not have the best texture by the time we tasted them, a couple of hours later. Perhaps they are best eaten fresh out of the kitchen. Shadia, the manager was also warm and welcoming and turned our lackluster first impression around with her hospitality know-how. Our server Ming was efficient and courteous. We left with plans to return.
Wonderful service and ambiance! I went for brunch but definitely want to try dinner!
Best brunch I’ve had in a long time. Food was delicious & interesting, waitstaff was lovely. Highly recommended!!
The restaurant interior is very inviting. However, the menu is limited, and the food is marginal at best. There is no need for my family to return to this restaurant.
My pasta was way too salty! I’ll
