My son and I ordered the steak frites, the fries were hot and delicious, the steak was cold. Not just a little cold. Like cold, sitting out for awhile cold. So two of our three meals, which were the most expensive thing on the menu, were sub par. Likely would have been good if we weren’t being served the leftovers from the day.

We had the perfect dinner on Wednesday evening. The food from start to finish was excellent which is hard to find these days. The service was great and the cozy vibe was perfect.

We had the most wonderful time at Waverly for breakfast! Our server was kind and efficient. We started with the griddled banana bread and maple cream cheese and delicious cold brews (tiramisu & pistachio). Our entrees were yummy and filling, with extra to take home! I cannot wait to go back!!

Lovely place for brunch or lunch in Charlestown. I am very particular about my eggs Benedict and theirs are quite good. The only miss was one poached egg was undercooked. However, the ambience is very good and it’s just a lovely old New England setting.

When we arrived, the manager was clearly not happy that we had arrived with our luggage as we headed to the airport and asked us to “stow” it in the corner since there clearly was no room to put it near the chairs by our table. This was the second time, having come from out of town, we visited this establishment and experienced the same cold, condescending attitude of the manager but our children live nearby so we chose to try it again. Unfortunately, while the soft scrambled eggs were nicely done their twist on French toast was not appreciated and both pieces were burned - it seems a simple thing to replace burned French toast rather than serve it but they chose to serve; I tried to eat it rather inconvenience everyone else at the table and ate half a piece since the food had been very slow getting to the table and this was BEFORE they became busy for the day…everyone else was happy with their meal; the service was very slow and when the plates were finally cleared, Catherine asked whether I wanted I box - apparently it never occurred to her that I might not have eaten the French toast because it was inedible… Needless to say, we will not be talked into returning for a third meal.
