WATT - Brisbane
Very nice food....service was a little slow and approach of wait staff appeared to be more 'cafe' than 'fine dining'.
Great food and locations
A most pleasant meal with excellent Spanish waiter and on a dreary wet day.
Surprised my wife on her birthday, really enjoyed the service and the food, ideally located below the Powerhouse which made for interesting walk around before we had dinner. Great spot
Dinner and a show. Watt's food and service was wonderful.. Staff were more than happy to help with anything we required. I had the beef and it melted in my mouth, loved it.
We visit Watt frequently. I think it’s getting better each time. Staff were superb. Particularly, Jimmy - very friendly maître d’. The food is very good. We had barramundi fish of the day: perfectly cooked. Ricotta gnocchi was delicious and very filling. Shared the parfait to start and it’s top notch. Lovely afternoon music of melodic female jazz style singing with acoustic guitars. Wonderful afternoon.
Very pleasant lunch, everyone's food was excellent, service nice.
Four friends having an early dinner before a show. The food service was prompt, although a couple of drink orders got lost. The food was good (I had the ricotta gnocchi). A bit expensive - the gnocchi & two mixed drinks = $59. I will go back to eat before a show.
Duck was tough and sink hadn't been rendered properly. However my husbands 12 hr slow roasted lamb ragu papa Delle was lovely. Service was friendly and efficient
Our entire evening was a great experience.
Watt is appealing to the eye, comfortable, loved the music, staff were welcoming, easy and efficient, all of our meals were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, particularly the lemon curd doughnuts with fairy floss, what a delight.
We arrived early for pre dinner drinks outdoors overlooking the river. It was idyllic.
Afterwards we attended a show, which was supposed to be the feature of the night, however, we think Watt was the highlight.
The food, when eventually served, was moderate in quality. While the hero of the dish(steak) was satisfying and the mustard sauce delicious, the potato gratin was undercooked.
It took over 40 minutes for the one course for two to be served.
Wonderful new menu. Excellent service. The bill paying process after a great restaurant lunch was weird. Line up with patrons ordering bar food and drinks for about 10 minutes on a busy Sunday!!!!
Very disappointed in the Mediterranean Stew. The flavour of the broth was nice but the quantity of seafood in the dish was very sparse.....one prawn, one small piece of fish, 5 pippies and 2 mussels...about enough to feed a 10year old child...entrée size
We booked for 6pm table of 4 to have dinner before seeing a show, commencing at 7.30pm, at the Power House theatre which is located in the same complex. We had to go and find our own menus and did not get our drink orders until 10 minutes of being seated. Food orders were taken 15 mins later but by 7:15pm were told our food would be ready "in about 10-15 mins". Needless to say we left without eating as . Appalling service, understaffed and in two words DON'T BOTHER
Excellent meal & service
Sorry to say a very disappointing dining experience. Fish nice, potatoes undercooked and cold. Duck breast over cooked and served cold. Time for dinner to arrive after ordering 45mins and the place was quiet. Boring decor and not heated. Would never recommend this restaurant.
Great riverside restaurant for a family brinch. New Farm Park next door makes it an excellent venue.
Great food but slow service although friendly
Good food but poor service for a Saturday night. Ensure you confirm booking with restaurant before arrival and assume that service may be slow so you're not rushed for time (if seeing a show afterward).
Lovely meal but with poor service
Very disappointing!! The website menu was completely wrong!! They don't do breakfasts at the Farmers restaurant anymore!! That's just hopeless. The online menu had about 10 different standard egg and bacon breakfasts etc. When we arrived, we were told the only option is eggs with Fennel and Indian Dukkah spices, which included chilli!! What the??? That's the best they can do for their breakfast menu!! Since when did eggs and bacon mandatorily come with Fennel and Dukkah?!! We wont be going back!
I require gluten free food and found 2 entree options, salt and pepper squid or baby octopus. I opted for the octopus on the recommendation of the waitress. It was excellent. There was only one gluten free option for mains, the barramundi, which was also excellent. There were no gluten free dessert options. My husband had the prawn salad and fish and chips and enjoyed both. My daughter is vegetarian and has coeliac disease and there was nothing on the menu she could have eaten.
Great ambience and views of river. Great food and service.
We were really disappointed by the lack of selection. The bar was out of most wines and ciders and the restaurant was out of most menue items.
Awful service at the bar. Food was average and overpriced. Lack of lighting outside. Half the meals came out half an hour after the first main meals had come out and our starters came out with the main meals. Awful service.
excellent start to the evening, attentive staff, knowledgeable on the menu, food was excellent, tasty and well presented
A really enjoyable meal ensures we will be back
Watt is nice casual place to east, but stick to the smaller dishes and shares. Menu is very limited when it comes to mains and I would recommend the charcuterie and cheese plates. Not great value for money if you do mains.
Whilst the food was of a high standard, the main waitress on the day we went (19 March 2017) was rude and not friendly at all. We even saw her "fly the bird" to a customer, behind his back, as he was leaving. I felt that she ruined our experience, although thankfully, I was in good company and we enjoyed ourselves.
Great location, good service, but have to say disappointed with the meals (fish and chips average) although my risotto lovely and that we couldn't get a cheese platter without Blue Cheese - no flexibility!
Our visit on Saturday, 17 March was the first time we dined at Watt. The table service was very good and attentive at all times however the bar service could have done with another one or two bartenders. It was very busy and appeared short-staffed. The food was delicious (my 25 year-old son would easily recommend the Venison Ragu) and the gnocchi was just right with a tasty creamy sauce. I especially enjoyed the broad beans included in this dish.
couldn't fault the food or service, music was at the perfect level, our date night was very enjoyable
The food was perfect and the service was great, they asked us if we were seeing a show at comedy fest and at what time to ensure our food got out in time.
The food was spectacular. I'm not vegetarian, but I did have a vegetarian dish and it was so delicious that I didn't even miss the meat. I would've expected to pay a lot more for my meal based on the quality and the location of the restaurant.
I loved the service and the ambience. I had the Mediterranean fish stew which was delicious in taste but there were three prawn heads in the stew. It was as if the stock wasn't strained. Little disappointing but still very delicious.. citrus cheesecake to die for.
Service was very friendly and helpful.
Food was delicious and good value for money in my opinion.
We ran a tab and had a couple of drinks before the meal, and when the bill came, they processed those as 2 separate bills rather than a single bill, which I found unusual.
The location is great, and I would definitely go back.
We have had a great breakfast/brunch here before but they have introduced a new weekend breakfast buffet option and reduced the range of options available to order from the menu significantly. Unfortunately this means it feels more like ordering a hotel breakfast - great if that is your thing but not wonderful if you want to order something simple, small and not pay a fortune as you have to for the buffet option. It also affects the ambiance if you are seated near the 'buffet' station.
Disappointing. Average food. Average service.
Our dining experience was not so special, taking my staff out for Christmas Party chose WATT because of its location on the river. Due to a nasty storm we could not sit out side (not the restuarants fault). We were then sat inside a very small table for 4 with no table cloth, cultlery and menu in a serve yourself box. We had pre-dinner drinks, then our food came, food was ok but nothing to rave about, thought we would order some wine, NOT one drop of Shiraz in the place????
This place used to be great, but sadly isn't so anymore. Very amateur food, laden with salt, delivered by bored and slow wait staff. A lovely lady was singing her heart out, and doing a sterling job. But the acoustics were insufferable.
