Belgian Brasserie menu is always a treat. Service was particularly outstanding. Server was one of the best restaurant servers I’ve had in some time…right on the spot with questions, attentive at the right times, great understanding for pacing of the meal we had. Thanks!

Our server was Sarah. She was excellent!! Twice she was at our table to laddle the mussels. A big smile and enthusiasm goes a long way to make the customer special.

Exceptional, all around. Mussel Mania is amazing. More mussels than a human could ever eat. Absolutely delicious!

It had been a while since I'd been to Waterzooi. Despite the increased competition in Garden City, they haven't lost their mojo. We arrived 15 minutes early on Mother's Day and we were seated immediately. That alone was a shocking surprise. The layout here is a bit cumbersome. You're always just a bit close to the adjacent tables but not so close as to have it be a challenge to pass by. The sound in here is like you're in midtown Manhattan. It gets noisy and chatty and the sounds of the kitchen are pretty prevalent. Still, for some reason it doesn't make for an unpleasant experience despite (at times) making it difficult to hear the conversation at your own table. We were a party of four. Our reservation stipulated that our seating time was two hours. I wondered if that was too much or too little. We ended up going a bit beyond that duration. I attribute that to a sizable menu which took time to narrow down our choices. Serving time was comfortable with breathing room. Our server was pretty exceptional. She made a few recommendations all of which were solid. She was also patient and upbeat when we were indecisive. She had a great energy. Prices are high here (welcome to Garden City). Presentation is pretty solid. Taste and quality are equally great. In all, I'd come back but this isn't a casual dining spot when it comes to these prices. If you're on an expense account this place is worthwhile bringing a client to. They have a solid cocktail menu as well.

The reservation was made to celebrate Mother’s Day. The food, drinks and wait were wonderful. The only disappointment was being the reception. The young woman was not very welcoming and sat us next to a bathroom. We were with a young child, and after asking for a high chair, she stood with menus in her hand waiting for us to sit but there was no where for me to sit our daughter down. Ultimately, her manager noticed she was not paying attention and got a high chair

Unfortunately they pack you in , sitting so close to next table, server backside is in your face, bumping into your table. Very tight, have to move the table to get out, not the first time I mentioned it management, they obviously don’t care so I will not be going back, also over priced for a bucket of muscles

Waterzooie is a dependable place for a good meal. The mussels are always a good choice, but there are lots of choices for non seafood eaters.
