Our first time there last night. Nice atmosphere and environment. Our waitress (Hailey I think) was very friendly and attentive !! Food was cooked perfectly and full of flavor! Will definitely be back!

Great food and people, however, the thing I'll remember most is how cold it was. I wasn't the only one, about half of the diners had their coats on while eating. I would have'd like something after the meal except that I just wanted to get out of the refrigerated space. I highly recommend Water Street, but not in cold weather.

Kept hearing about their great wine list..not very impressed. The glass they brought me (for about $14) seriously was probably 1/3 of a glass. I ordered the burger which was cooked medium rare like I requested. My husband ordered the tenderloin which he enjoyed. The atmosphere was nice and the acoustic allowed for conversation. Overall I thought it a bit pricey for quality and quantity of food and drink.

The appetizers were excellent (Patagonian shrimp and the Pork belly). Every now and then, we get a dish that is over-salted. But overall, we enjoy our food when dining here.

All in all our experience was good. Waited a little too long for drinks. One of the wines was not that good. It was replaced at no charge. Food also took a little long compared to other tables that were seated after we were. Waterstreet Cafe has always been a favorite. Will go back again.

Good food and ambiance. Service was just ok as our waiter forgot a few requests we had and wasn't as attentive as we would have liked.

Event in the next room (on a Thursday night) made kitchen sloooooooooooow. An extremely long wait after ordering while being plied with offers of more alcohol. Very poor.

As always, the food was amazing and the service was great. Try the stuffed peppers and the Pork Belly appetizers. Outstanding ! Great entrees and great drinks. Take your out of town friends or business associates. Sure to impress !! While the restaurant isn’t super noisy the side room is quieter.

Waterstreet checked all of our boxes for our Friday night girls dinner. It was quiet, warm, casual and the food was delicious. We will definitely return.

Birthday dinner for three of us - as always, excellent food, still pricey but I’m happy to pay the price for my taste buds to be happy.

Our server was so so, she may have judged us by our attire. I don’t care to get all gussied up for a good meal. I’m not sure she gets the “don’t judge a book by its cover” saying; I’m guessing she pegged us to be small tippers. Too bad on such a high bill - I’m good at math and understand 20% of a $250 bill is $50. Had she made the night a bit more special she could have earned $60, instead she got just slightly below standard. Problem for her is, she probably told herself “I knew they’d be low tippers”

It was a nice quite meal; arrived 30 minutes before they started serving dinner; had the whole place to ourself for about 30 minutes; they were nice enough to prepare my wife a meal from the dinner menu.

Food was excellent but Server was slow to take our order then forgot to place it and our food was delayed. Many sitting around us who were seated after us were served well before us. They did provide a complimentary appetizer while we were waiting but no explanation for the delay or an apology.

We were eating an early dinner as we had just flown in from the East Coast and our bodies thought it was 8 pm when it was only 5 pm in Olympia. The place was empty at that early hour, so we sat at the bar for a drink and decided to have our dinner there as well. Haley was our bartender and server, and she was super. She knew the menu and was so pleasantly efficient.

We had some excellent steamed clams in garlic butter, a nice soup and beet salad, and our entrees were some great meatloaf and prawns and grits. A truly superior dinner for a couple of road warriors. Haley's personality was the difference though in making this not just a great dinner but a memorable one.

We have been dining at Water Street Cafe since they opened. My meal on this occasion was very disappointing. I ordered the Halibut, which came with Lobster Mushroom (whatever that is), and since I don't like Lobster, I asked for rice instead. The fish was over cooked, so much that I had to use a knife to cut through the outer crust of the fish. It was served with really skinny asparagus, and they were either too woody to eat, or they were charred to the point of just tasting like char, not asparagus. In fairness I will add that my husband had a shrimp dish which he said was really good. I think Water Street has gotten way over priced for their quality (fish was $38). Tried to leave a review on their web site but there isn't a way to do it, not even an email to send to the manager. I did not want to send the dish back or complain because we were with a co-worker of my husband and didn't want to ruin the dinner.

We did a road trip to BC and had stopped at this place for dinner on our way there and back:) The food is really good and we were pleasantry surprised. I had their halibut special that was delicious and my husband loved the duck. They have a small happy hour menu and the food choices were great and prices even better. Loved the fried gnocchi. Nice selection of wine and cocktails too, we will definitely be back again when and if we are in the area.

Amazing Washington wine list, featuring top and hard to find wines at reasonable prices, plus a nice selection of other wines. They also had a very nice seasonal Rose menu of Rose from around the world at good prices. The menu is compact but there is something for everyone. The cheese course options are interesting, tasty and reasonable. Service was very pleasant, friendly and professional. Kitchen was a little slow, but the results were very nice. We had the beef tenderloin and the seared duck, both of which were nicely cooked and good sides included. The space is comfortable, with nice touches.
