Waterstreet Cafe & Bar
Our food is beautifully presented, using the highest quality ingredients to create delicious, unique dishes. Our menu is generous and diverse, with something for everyone. We offer gracious service in a comfortable setting. We are one of the few restaurants between Seattle and Portland that has been awarded the prestigious Wine Spectator Award. We also offer expertly crafted, classic & seasonal cocktails and a great selection of micro brews on tap.
Great food and great service
Excellent food, great drinks and friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Always my husband and my favorite date night place!
great service and womderful food. very friendly staff
Wonderful meal! Will return!
The occasion was Valentine’s Day dinner with my wife. We are fond of Waterstreet Cafe because our first date was there, many years ago now. I appreciated being seated in one of the side rooms as it was very quiet there and we could easily talk and be heard.
Good food & service. Great place to get together w friends in Olympia!
This is a nice place for a quiet meal with a friend. The restaurant is slightly upscale without being pretentious. Outstanding service.
Sandy was great and treated us very well. Food and service were superb. The only slight complaint was we sat on the main floor near the back by the kitchen and had a cold draft on our backs. Still a great experience.
Service great. Food came quickly and was not skimpy. Reasonable price.
The staff were attentive and professional. The calamari I ordered was a generous serving and perfectly crispy. Remember to bring a light sweater or dress in layers, it can get drafty.
Consistently one of the top three tables in Olympia.
Waterstreet Cafe is one of my favorite Olympia restaurants. The service is excellent and the food is yummy. I highly recommend
Lovely dinner with an old friend. Most of the food was terrific, but Brussels sprouts were way undercooked.
We went to Waterstreet Café for an early lunch on a cold rainy day. The cozy ambiance, including a fire in the fireplace, was welcoming, as was our prompt and thoughtful server. I plan to take friends here more often.
However, I watch county health inspections for local restaurants. At times, consistently negative health inspections prompted me to avoid some favorite eateries, such as Aqua Fina months before it closed. As far as I know, Waterstreet is fine, and their food and service were excellent for our lunch.
This was my first time dining at the Waterstreet Café. It will NOT be the last!
...Great food, Great atmosphere, Great waitstaff!
We stopped on our way out of town to sit and have a nice lunch does look like it had great options online. But what they had when we actually got there didn’t match much of it was online however part of what we ordered was absolutely delicious and came hot out of the oven in a baking dish. Our other meal came quite cold and soggy because although we were one of only two tables in the whole restaurant what our order was ready from the open kitchen it sat and sat and sat in the waiter never brought it over to our table. I could see that the cook finally had to like get his attention but by the time we got the food it was literally cold and I barely even ate it. We were never checked on again Very disappointing. By the time I got the toasted cheese it was solid and cold.
I had the steelhead with a nettle pesto last night, and it was cooked perfectly. Loved it! I also ordered the mixed greens salad, and was pleased to see it was a very generous portion of fresh, delicious greens. Have been happy to eat here many times over the years. The food is excellent, service is good. It would be absolutely perfect if the noise level was a little quieter.
I have always enjoyed the Waterstreet Cafe. The food and the service are unfailingly excellent.
My wife is the toughest food critic in the world and she's never had anything to complain about here! We love it!
Good service but food wasn't great. The ceaser salad was good. Cute restaurant.
Great food and outstanding service
Waterstreet is our go-to spot to celebrate special occasions in Olympia. The menu is always interesting, the food is always delicious -- good, healthy ingredients, local sourcing, seasonal fare, delicious seasonings and taste combinations, with great variety. Plus the service is invariably warm and impeccable.
We mentioned we were celebrating our 32nd anniversary, and were gifted with celebratory champagne. In the past, they've thrown in tasting plates or desserts.
Always a delight. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Waterstreet has become our go-to place to celebrate events for our small family.
It is a gift for Olympia to have a relaxed place with excellent food, local fresh ingredients, expertly prepared, and served by friendly sweet people.
Fantastic food, excellent service! The food is high-quality and absolutely delicious.
Another great meal! Love this place.
This reservation was made using your App. When we got to the restaurant.
WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE RESTAURANT, IT WAS CLOSED.
WE ARE VERY UPSET WITH OPENTABLE.
Everything we got was excellent, including drinks.
Great experience. Everything from restaurant environment to service to food and drink was spot on and was wonderful. The flavors of the food and drink we're fresh and unique. Very enjoyable experience. Sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air while protected was great too.
A very nice restaurant right by Capital lake. Great bar and ambiance and the food is really good.
Hands down one of the best restaurants in Olympia. The food is incredible, service is always great and the atmosphere is inviting.
Salmon was moist and delicious. French fries w hamburger were great but burger was just ok though pink as ordered. Meatloaf was ok but the sauce for it doused the Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, and potatoes, which should have been left to star on their own.
Great experience all around! Had family in town and wanted to take them for a nice dinner that wasn’t too fancy. They remarked that the food was delicious, with my father-in-law saying the steelhead was one of the best meals he could remember having. Good service and a nice atmosphere that wasn’t too loud.
My favorite Olympia restaurant. The food was very good, though the vegetable melange was too vinegary.
Very pleasant experience. The food was great and service was outstanding. I will surely be back!
Always great - easily one of the best meals in town and very fairly priced
Took my wife there for her birthday on a Friday night and were seated by the kitchen. Our waitress gave us water and came back 10 minutes later to take our drink order. We noticed that there were very few people dining and pretty quiet. Another 10 minutes went by before our waitress, who actually was the
bartender, came back with our drinks. My wife had a question about an item on the menu and she explained what it was and said she would return for our order. Mean while...I took a sip of my Martini...
It was horrible! I could not drink it. When she returned we ordered our dinner and I explained "I couldn't drink Martini , and so I ordered a beer. She returned a few minutes later with my beer and told me that she was sorry but they were out of what I had ordered from the menu. So I had to look at the menu again.
By the time we received our dinner...it was an hour from the time we sat down. All that for Meatloaf and a
Hamburger and a lousy Martini? . The waitress was friendly, but seemed to be working 2 jobs at once. We might go back...but go outside this time.
Best restaurant in Olympia! Consistently great! The Fried Artichokes are excellent.
Great food, service, and location!
Perfect spot for a business lunch with guests from out-of-state. The quiet venue and lovely outdoor setting on a warm day provided the perfect atmosphere for conversation, plus we were able to show off all that Olympia has to offer in cuisine, friendly service and natural beauty.
