Outstanding food and service. Everything we tried was superb.
This was our first time to eat at Waters. We arrived a little early so we sat at the bar and hand some delicious hand made cocktails. We started with Crispy-fried Oysters. They were drizzled with a very nice Hollandaise sauce. Next, we had the Jumbo Lump Crabcake. Loved this as well. Then we moved on to the Crab and Avocado salad. This was my favorite. It was so light and fresh. Pared with a mango salsa, arugula and a citrus vinaigrette, this may be my new favorite salad. We ended our meal with the Lobster Tail. Outstanding! We cannot wait to go back. Thanks for a great meal!
My wife had a meeting in downtown Fort Worth that ended at 7pm, so we decided to have a "date night" afterward. We both love seafood, and Waters received good marks from reviewers, so we decided to try it. We arrived on time and were seated at a high-top table (my wife's favorite by the way) in the bar next to the windows on Main Street. We started off with the "Dirty Dozen," 6 pairs of various east coast oysters (12 total) and they were uniformly excellent. For dinner, I had the scallops and my wife the salmon and we had the bacon wrapped asparagus and broccolini as accompaniments. The plates were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection, especially the sauces that were part of the entrees, and all enhanced by a nice chardonnay. For desert we ordered the brownie, which was appropriately decadent. Our server was young, but what she lacked in experience she made up for with a sparkling personality and prompt attention to our needs. All in all a great date night. My wife and I would recommend Waters to anyone wanting to enjoy a "Fort Worth Casual" seafood dinner in the Sundance Square area of downtown. As a side note for those that don't know, unlike most downtown's in my experience, Fort Worth is easy and convenient. At least a half dozen Sundance Square valet stands are positioned all around the Square, and one can drop off their car at one, and pick it up at another. And it is free if you have your ticket validated by the bar or restaurant you visit.
My wife and I have been here twice for lunch and we decided to meet some friends here for dinner. We were all quite surprised at how excellent the food was. We started off with the calamari and it was exceptional. I got the filet and I'll tell you, I've eaten literally 1,000 filets, and this was definitely top 3. The flavor was amazing. My wife got the salmon and thought it was delicious. The wine list was extensive and the choice of exclusive bourbons was quite plentiful. Ryan was our waiter and he did a fantastic job. The only issue I had was that a few times a server put another table's order in front of me and I had to tell them that wasn't my order. But other than that, the experience was pretty great.
The meal was excellent as always and the service staff did a great job.
My wife was really delighted with the evening.
You can make a great light meal from an appetizer and a salad.
Delicious but pricey
Excellent meal, service, and ambiance. Well done!
A date with my husband. I would highly recommend Waters Restaurant. The food was delicious, presentation was great and the ambiance was exactly what we like. Classy but not stuffy.
Wish my girlfriends birthday was acknowledged.
Special occasion- seated promptly at a nice table. Excellent food - service a bit lacking
Second visit to this restaurant- would definitely return
Staff was excellent. Food was delicious. We'd been to the location on 7th and loved the experiences we had. Happy hour is always a fun time. Fresh oysters from the NE are great! We enjoyed the wine selection as well.
We had a fantastic evening at Waters on Friday night! Everything we tasted was delicious, including the warm French bread they serve from a nearby bakery (I never rave about bread, I usually avoid eating it so I don't fill up on bread and can enjoy my meal - but this bread was sooo good!).
I had the crabcake appetizer, and the crabcakes did not disappoint. The lemon remoulade was outstanding with the cakes. For my entree, I had king crab legs, which were cooked perfectly. My husband had the scallops, which I had seen other review rave over, and they were not wrong! The scallops were delicious! We also had the carrot cake and creme brulee. The creme brulee was a standard creme brulee, good, but nothing to write home about. The carrot cake, however, was one of the best I'd ever had.
Above all, we ended up having a fabulous time getting to know people at the surrounding tables as well as the kind wait staff who put up with 4 of their tables making friends with each other and chatting until the restaurant closed. We really had a remarkable evening and will definitely return!
We went to waters for date night this month and it didn’t disappoint. We have been here before with friends and had another great experience this time. The hostesses were accommodating, the servers were amazing, and the food was fantastic! We had an orphan barrel whiskey and the republic Martini to start and then a bottle of the quill viognier with the shrimp, the hushpuppies, the king crab legs and a swordfish special and it was all great! Can’t say enough good things. Chef Bonnel came around and said hello as well which is always a nice touch.
Loved it! Food is the best
This restaurant is outstanding! We were celebrating a milestone birthday.
The wait staff is very attentive.
I highly recommend the scallops or the swordfish kabobs and the creme brulee.
If you like seafood - you won't be disappointed here!
Great restaurant with excellent food and service
Gumbo is excellent. Highly recommend the fish and chips too.
Both fish dishes were slightly overdone. At these prices the fish should be absolutely perfect. Beautiful room and great staff. We have dined at Waters when all was perfect but not this time.
Waiter was excellent!!great food !
Chilled Crab claws and lobster are the best in FW!
Excellent service, good food, average ambiance.
Occasion was taking our 16 y/o granddaughter to her first dinner and a play at Bass Hall! Pre play dinner was fantastic, Ryan our waiter was the best. My wife has a serious dairy allergy. She wanted calamari and the dinner size crab salad. Ryan found out from the chef that the dredge for the calamari consisted of a dairy based product. My wife was sad but anxious to have the crab salad. In just a few minutes, Ryan returned with the most delicious calamari we had ever tasted. Mine and my granddaughter’s dredged in the buttermilk and my wife’s dredged in water and spices. I had the best Halibut I’ve ever had. My granddaughter had the Salmon that she thoroughly enjoyed. The play was great. Dinner was fantastic! Thanks, Waters!
Largest oysters I have ever seen!!!😋
Great food, exceptional service - a wonderful experience!
Once again... wonderful. Went with some friends who had not been before and we were all pleased with the whole evening! Do NOT miss the lobster macaroni and cheese!
Fathers Day was great.
give me my points! They didn't mark my visit on open table.
It is important that the restaurants and open table mark my visits as complete because this is what gives me points. It seems that I have spent much time with the same number of points. I think it is because they are NOT marking my visits as complete.
All I can do is tell them to mark my visits but I cannot get in their system and makr my own.
PLEASE COMPLETE THIS!
They were flexible and moved our table when we requested. Excellent service and fabulous food!
the service team and the kitchen combine to make for a very enjoyable meal. a bit pricey. easy valet parking is available.
Great restaurant for a date night.... A vibrant scene.
Great food nice evening out. Wait staff was very attentive. Complementary valet parking was a bonus and very appreciated.
The fried goat cheese salad was terrific.
The salmon and halibut was the best we ever had.
The crème brulee dessert was the perfect end to a terrific meal.
Great Food and Service!! Really enjoyed it!! Will go again sometime!!
Simply outstanding! It was all perfect. We had the best time!
Excellent Shellfish as always!
Amazing and most fresh seafood in town. My goto seafood restaurant every time. Caesar Salad is to die for and I always get the Shellfish Tower.
We really enjoyed our waitress and her service was outstanding.
Very nice patio, quiet and comfortable chairs
2nd time I have eaten here. Outstanding for small group dining. Great food, service, and ambiance. Prices represent good value especially compared to some of the local steakhouses. Convenient location downtown. Valet parking across street.
