Awesome food and service
It was our first visit and we had a great time. The service from our server, Ryan, was fantastic. The food was amazing, the Waters Pinot Noir was great and we will be back next time we head to Fort Worth! Loved it!
The food was excellent, table service was great, ambiance nice and the wait staff was very attentive and entertaining. Only knock is that the bartender padded the liquor tab by substituting high prices for basic whiskey orders. Not a HUGE problem, but it tended to put a damper on the evening. Needless to say, watch your bar tab with great precision and care.
Had a delightful dinner last Saturday evening. Beautifully simple decor making for a very relaxing atmosphere. Food was wonderful and creative, wine list was well balanced between affordable wines and more expensive wines if you want to splurge on a special occasion.
Fantastic food and service!
We sat at a table for two (one person in booth with window behind and the other in a chair across). I couldn't hear my husband talking across the table, but I could hear the lady next to me very clearly. We were there for a special night out, but there was no privacy.
My office had ordered lunch a few weeks prior which was phenomenal, but I was less than impressed with our dinner.
Our server, Laurel, was fantastic!
The shrimp cocktail was amazing (mustard sauce + cocktail sauce!), oysters fantastic (try the Southwest mignonette sauce), Alaskan Red King Crab, etc, etc. Fantastic birthday dinner, thanks to our engaging and knowledgeable server, Mary. Will definitely be back.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great Service. Our server Steve was superb. We never felt rushed and he truly made our anniversary dinner special.
Great food and service. Valet parking was not good. It took about 20 minutes to retrieve our car.
Our second visit by invitation of Assistant GM Andre Rossotti. Food was outstanding. 4 pple dining so we got an assortment of items from appetizers, salads, entrees, shareable sides. EVERYTHING was on-point from flavor profiles to seasoning. Andre has got to be one of the most down to earth, kind, and customer centric personnel I’ve met in a Chef driven establishment. If anyone reading this review needs help, FIND ANDRE!!
Parents were visiting and happened to be the last weekend of restaurant week. The food and service was great. A little pricey but we knew that and it was well worth it.
Went during Restaurant Week 2018. We had Shrimp with Grits and George Bank Scallops. Both was excellent.
We have dined at Waters several times and have always enjoyed it. We had family in town and thought it would be a perfect place for Sunday brunch.
Three of us had items that contained the “crab cake”, and it was atrocious. The “crab cake”was not a cake at all. it was a soggy uncooked cheap mess. It was made with super low quality blue crab claw meat that was obviously old. The gumbo was green with no flavor to the roux, if a roux even existed in it. I ate next to nothing on my plate and the waiter didn’t even bother to ask if there was an issue. This pains me because we have loved this restaurant and have recommended it many times, but after yesterday I doubt I’ll go back. Something has changed and not for the better.
Went with friends during Restaurant Week. We were all very pleased, which wasn’t the case with all the places we hit during the three week event.
I loved my salmon and my wife enjoyed her steak. The Forchini wine was great
We have found a new favorite in downtown Fort Worth. We love fish and it is often hard to find a great fresh fish menu. Waters tops in selection, quality, and creativity.
So disappointed. Waters is overrated and over priced. Nice restaurant, good service but food only mediocre per all four diners.
Food was outstanding and Elaine, our server was friendly, informative and very accommodating- awesome service.
Most excellent experience with awesome service. Definitely plan to revisit.
Pleasantly surprised with the menu for Restaurant Week. I will definitely go back at another time to order off the regular menu. The shrimp and grits were outstanding! Waitstaff and Manger were attentive and had excellent suggestions. The outside patio will be a nice addition when the weather is cooler.
Great food and great service.
Lovely ambiance & delicious meal. I had gumbo for an appetizer, scallops for my main course and chocolate ice cream & cookies for dessert. We came to celebrate my friend's birthday and had such a nice time. Steve, our waiter, was wonderful and made good wine & food recommendations.
Excellent dining experience. The wait staff and the food were both wonderful.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening! Salads were good and cold, entrees of shrimp and a filet were delicious, and yummy desserts, apple tart with ice cream and a banana sundae! Definitely recommend!
Loved the fabulous service at Waters - from the moment we walked in and all through the evening. Everyone is there to help make sure you enjoy yourself. The food was amazing!!
We celebrated retirement for a friend . The service was great everyone was so friendley food was delicious Thank you participating in the Restaurant week.
The crab and lobster salad with mango was excellent! I can't wait to return and have it again.
My husband had the salmon with Panko and Parmesan crust and said it was amazing. We enjoyed a very nice dinner for our anniversary.
We had a wonderful experience. Went during restaurant week and the choices were mouth-watering. Great service.
It was our first time there and we went with another couple for Restaurant Week. The food was delicious and the special menu had something for everyone. Our fiends had the scallops and loved them. My wife had the shrimp and grits and mentioned that they should have been served hotter. My blackened salmon and dirty rice was delicious. Waters has a nice drink menu with plenty of single malt Scotches to try as well as a nice, reasonably priced wine menu for a downtown restaurant. Our server Scott was great, attentive, funny, and well versed on the menu offerings. We'll go back I'm sure.
I want to state that the food was excellent. The service left much to be desired. We went for restaurant week, but the menu for lunch on that Sunday was so limited that we ordered off the regular menu. We were seated right away but it took our waitress close to 30 minutes to bring our bottle of champagne and water. When opening the champagne she didn't hold the cork and it went flying across the room. Luckily no one was injured. Maybe it was her first time? We had to call our waitress back in order to place our order after another 30 minutes. When we placed our order, we were party of 3, I asked for bread. Our food came and it was excellent. Never received bread until after we finished our meal.
I would try this restaurant again but would probably sit at the bar for better service.
We went to Waters for DFW Restaurant week and were not disappointed. We started off with a couple of appetizers....the calamari & the hushpuppies…..both wonderful. Our group of 4 all opted for the Restaurant week menu. I had the gumbo, salmon, and bananas foster sundae...….the gumbo was just spicy enough, the salmon was cooked to perfection and on top of the most delicious rice....and the dessert was "to die for". The highlight of our evening was when Jon Bonnell came over to chat with our table. I had run into him in the past at a few charity events. I was just telling my friends before he came over to our table, how I admired him for his generosity in giving back to the Fort Worth community. We will definitely return to Waters very soon and recommend to all our family and friends.
The service was impeccable, friendly, helpful and attentive. My gumbo was rich and flavorful. My salmon was cooked to my direction and the seasoning was great. Apple crumble is a hard dessert to pass up. Waters never disappoints me. I can't wait to go back.
Food was good and so was the service. It was our first time visiting-we went for DFW restaurant week and the menu was great
Desert was not on your regular menu
Restraint week is to be a sampling of you regular menu
At this you failed
Excellent service from Laurel. Food was good and atmosphere great
Excellent food, service and atmosphere.
Food & service was excellent! Great wine list. I had the filet - cooked to perfection.
We were there for restaurant week. My opinion had the best selection of all the restaurants participating. Most variety. Cannot say enough about waitress Elaine. Great personality, very welcoming and attentative.
Bad from the word go. Service friendly but very slow. Scallops burned on one end. Replaced with raw scallop burned on one end. Gumbo was 90% okra without salt. Highly overpriced.
We visited Waters for DFW Restaurant Week. We really enjoyed our meals, though I found the portion of the appetizers, particularly the gumbo, were quite small. I know it was a set-price 3 course meal with proceeds going to charity, but it still felt a little cheap, particularly when the 'regular' gumbo appetizer was served as an adjacent table. Regardless, we would still go back for a special occasion night out.
Went here for restaurant week to try something new. My party and absolutely I love Bonnell's. So of course we thought this would be a great experience. Unfortunately the only thing good about the dinner was the drinks. Food was cold, but plates were hot. I know sounds crazy, we thought so too. The gumbo had cooked and fresh crunchy okra pieces in it. My shrimp was very tasty but warm. The grits that's paired with it was cold. I got the ice cream cookie for dessert. The ice cream reminded me of the stuff that comes out of the machine at a buffet.
