My wife’s 50th birthday was a hit on Thursday night. Waters made sure everything was just right. Bonus they are dog friendly outside so our girls got to celebrate too! The staff was amazing!!
The service started out very attentive. However, when we were served our food, my lobster was cool and my husband’s crab cakes were overcooked. The vegetables were very good as were the oysters Texafeller. Considering the price the meal was just average.
My favorite Fort Worth restaurant.
Service was good. Waitress was helpful. Food was average and pricey for the quality. Not suggesting it was bad just not worth the value.
Great food and had a very good time. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a very good seafood fix.
The waitress was extremely attentive and personable. We really had a wonderful time!
It was a fine experience, our server was very accommodating and we were very pleased with the service. We celebrated our anniversary and were given complimentary champagne. The food left a little to be desired though. My crab cakes were full of crab shells. The crab cakes crunchy because of it. There were several times where I pulled at least six large shells about 1/2" in diameter out of my mouth because they were getting stuck toward the back of my mouth. The rest, I just crunched down on and ate them. For such an expensive meal, I did expect a higher quality control regarding that. I've had $10 lump crab cakes without having to eat a bunch of shells. The aioli with it was more like a mayonnaise than an aioli. My wife had the salmon, and it was mushy and had no texture to it.
Never fails to delight me. Outstanding food and impeccable service. Every meal is a celebration.
The service is outstanding. The food is excellent; perfectly prepared. The ambiance is a little noisy as it is an open environment. However, "a little noisy" is simply a matter of opinion. Others may appreciate the visual ambiance.
I cannot say enough about the high quality of the food and the service. It is magnificent.
Happy Birthday Jamie!!!
See you soon,
Jeanette & Rachel
Everyone was very attentive and the food was fantastic.
Excellent experience all the way around. First time to go to Waters and went for a family Birthday dinner. 6 meals including a steak and everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Various oysters on the half shell to start were Wonderful. While the menu is somewhat limited they only serve what they can get fresh so understandable. Excellent wine list which was reasonably priced as well.
Bang for the buck, it was better than all of the other high end restaurants in town. We will definitely be back. Kudos to John Bonnel and staff.
Great start to a birthday celebration.
Quite and great service. Food was good and priced well. Good size portions. Would go back
Our experience was outstanding. The food was exquisite and our waitress was over 10+..the only thing I was told I could be in a booth facing the window.
Luxury at its best! Great food, great service! We will be back.
The noise level was quiet. It is nice to go to a place and enjoy a good meal without noise.
This is the second time we've eaten at Waters. We are from California and it is one of our favorites.
We will be back!
Traveling to Fort Worth
On of the better overall meals I have had in awhile from beginning to end. Thanks
The restaurant itself is very nice and in a good location. The food was just ok. The scallops come with 3 medium sized. It looked like an appetizer. We order scallops all the time from very nice restaurants and the usual serving size is 5. My son ordered the filet medium rare and it came out very rare. I’m not sure if the kitchen messed up or the server put the order in incorrectly. We didn’t send it back because we had already waited about an hour for the entrees. We also ordered 6 oysters as an app and received 12 which had to go back. Our server was soooo inauthentic it was actually cringe-worthy. He was going for a pretentious, sophisticated shtick and it was just uncomfortable for all of us. I was embarrassed for him. We will definitely not return. There are so many better options available.
The staff members are great and really work together as a team. Elaine remembered us from a previous visit and we were able to have her as our server again. The food is delicious, portions are good, and prices are reasonable. Will definitely return!
Just didn't find anything I can say is impressive. The food was good, but we'd expected a better atmosphere for the cost. The value just didn't match up to the pricing in my opinion.
The team seating us lied, sitting us at a table too small for group, while a larger table was right next to us. We asked about the larger table and was told there was a reservation already for the table; no on showed. You lied to us; will never go back there!
Very long wait for food. Order was lost. Food was good just a poor service experience.
Waters is a favorite, but the chicken entree was light on flavor and coffee at the end of the meal was stone cold. Very unusual for what has been a Fort Worth stand out.
I treated my daughter in law to dinner and Bass Hall last night. Started out in the bar for happy hour. Drinks and service were on point.
We moved to the dining room around 6 for our reservations. She ordered crab cakes and they were delish.
I ordered the fish special-can’t remember the name. The server said it was Bonnell’s favorite and described it as light, flaky and buttery. I imagined it to be like Sea Bass, my favorite. The fish had no flavor and it was far from flaky and buttery. It was a dense texture. I was very disappointed.
Dinner, including drinks and gratuity, was about $180 for 2. I’ve had much better for the price.
Again-service was excellent.
We have eaten here before and it was wonderful. This time the Calamari was terrible. It had no flavor and too much breading. I ordered the special (Cobia) and I couldn't eat it. After my husband tasted it he lost his appetite for his meal. The fish had a very strong fishy taste. The waitress should have mentioned that when she was describing it. When I complained about it - no one offer to take it off of our bill.
I called Waters on Friday and confirmed my Open Table notes regarding my wife's birthday and a wait staff request. Despite confirming on Friday, there was no acknowledgment of my wife's birthday. This also happened in July for our anniversary. Other restaurants got out of their way to acknowledge a birthday with a flower or happy birthday glitter. Not that tough but Waters does not get it
The food and the service were outstanding! Our waiter was knowledgeable about everything on the menu. He was attentive and patient. The quality of the oysters and fish rivals restaurants in the Pacific Northwest. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.
Our first time here. Celebrated our anniversary here. The food was fabulous. The service was also fantastic. Waiter very knowledgeable. We so enjoyed it and we will definitely go back.
Fantabulous. !! Husband got his Dirty Dozen for his birthday with a candle ! Great service & see you again ! Thanks, J B !!
Service was outstanding. Wine selections really good. Paired well with menu. I walked out with a $4XX dollar bill including tip for the awesome service. That’s really not a great value for 2 people. I was particularly set back about the $40 lobster tail that was so small it wouldn’t even have made an appetizer portion.
Steve is such a thoughtful waiter. He anticipated our every whim.
Certainly did not disappoint, something for everyone on the menu and the service made this 25th Wedding Anniversary a hit!
We made a reservation for the time we desired. We arrived and were seated instantly. Waitstaff was very helpful and courteous. Her recommendations were fantastic. The Food was hot and fresh, cooked perfect. It was Overall great experience and look forward to returning next time in the area.
Incredible service from Elaine and the food was amazing!
Perfect place to celebrate our 40th anniversary.
ALWAYS GREAT!!!! We go for lunch at least 2 or 3 times a month. Never been disappointed in the years since we have been coming to Waters. It is our favorite restaurant in Fort Worth.
Everything was absolutely perfect! Great service and the food was excellent!!
My 4th time here and phenomenal as always. My favorite seafood restaurant in Fort Worth and their oysters are amazing.
