Located right in the heart of downtown, Waters Edge Winery of Long Beach is Long Beach’s first winery. Our grapes are globally sourced, and our wines are locally crafted. We produce up to forty different wines annually to create a unique portfolio from known regions around the world. Went for brunch and the menu advertised was not what was offered. We could only select from 2 brunch options and the small plates which is not what we thought we were going for. Wine was good but we went for the brunch experience which was dissappointing. Also the small plates were very overpriced, the crostinis came with 4 small slices of toast with ricotta and was $17 which was crazy.

Where do I start the wine was great and the food was fantastic but when me & my girlfriend walked in I couldn’t believe how nice the people were that worked we were seated right away. They constantly checked in on us I’ve never gotten service like that ever so I’ll definitely be going back I wish I could remember the names of the people that helped us those 3 did more than what they had to for us and I’ll forever be thankful.

I wanted to like this spot-a winery in Long Beach! Our first interaction was with the “wine ambassador” trying to sell us on their monthly wine club; we hadn’t even tried anything, yet. Why would I purchase a monthly membership if I don’t know if I like something or not?!? Then you seat yourself, but only few tables were cleaned. The service was horrible. Multiple servers and kitchen staff attended to 1 table while the rest of us on the patio were left to fend for ourselves. I had to call over one of the servers who then told us that we should just go to the bar because it would take a while for her to get to us. It took forever for our food to arrive once we were able to order, with all of our food coming out at once instead of in courses. Then they forgot my husband’s pizzette, so that took another hour. It took us 2.5 hours to eat dinner. While we weren’t looking for a quick meal, this was exceptionally long.

My husband and I are members of Waters Edge and visit often. We recently brought our parents and they loved it as well. The service, the food, wine and of course Devon and Kenya are awesome. You will definitely see us back soon!

It was Mother’s Day and we was only able to order food from the brunch menu which was very limited needless to say we didn’t order any food. The glasses the waiter brought out was dirty and the replacements made the water look as if it had oil in it. The water was room temperature and it wasn’t any ice. We sat outside but the table for 4 was extremely small. Overall my holiday was ruined and I will not be going back here.

Our hours will be extended in June to offer some Bistro bites later in the afternoon. From all of the pictures it seemed a bit more vibrant than it was. It was a slow night but they were short staffed. I had a reservation for 4 which included 2 children it took a while to be seated then they had mistaken us for a party of 7. I spent a pretty penny for the night after being enticed to buy a bottle of wine for my husband's birthday not fully impressed -but overall the wine was very good=)

The service was terrible. We waited for the server to acknowledge us for about 10 minutes. The drinks came about 20 minutes later, and then kept waiting to order more. We were seated at 7:15 and didn't get our appetizers until 8:30. Our main courses were served at 9:15. No follow up on the wait from any server. We would have left in the first 20 minutes but had a gift card to spend there. We will not be going back.

The food was good, wine did not taste good if you have an advanced palate. Service wasn’t the best. Waitress never came to us so the hostess took our order. Then the hostess disappeared. We weren’t sure who our server was or who would pour our next tasting. We noticed we kept getting passed by. Mark eventually came to help and kept our glasses poured. Mark saved the night, but overall I was disappointed with my experience.

Got a groupon deal to try this place and it was good! It's the only winery in the city of Long Beach which is a fun fact! Their brussel sprouts for appetizer was delish! Our server was well informed about the various wines we tried too! Good service and not a long wait time :)

Emma was very knowledgeable and charming. I enjoyed coming in mid-week during happy hour. It was fun to try the hand-selected flight by the owner Collin. He’s a magician at blending different varietals to come up with new exquisite blends. Became a member of the Wine Club this summer. Best thing I’ve done in years. Hidden gem in the heart of a busy and thriving city. Great for casual dining or date night.
