Utterly incredible chef
We really enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the view.
Appetizers are delicious so as the specialty drinks and wine. Amazing for family gatherings or business meetings as well as for romantic dinners.
i can't say the clam chowder is "award-winning" but the brussells sprouts are!! order 'em - you'll be happy.
nice outdoor vibe - relaxing.
great server - really nice and attentive.
Out of the few dishes we wanted to order.
Even with the restaurant filled 20%, they were still seating people next to one another
The view was wonderful. That alone is a reason to return. The food was good. The oysters perfection!
We will be back we enjoyed it so much.
there was no pork chops so we ordered the pasta bolognese- a bit spicy than we expected.
thank you for having us!
It was the first time at the restaurant. We ordered 2 different vegetables and our waiter did not tell us that some of the same vegetables were in both. Sharing that information would have helped us to make a more informed choice. Waiter told us a dessert was available and then said it wasn't. He did not seem as polished as I would have expected.
A couple of items that we wanted to order had run out so we had to go with back up options. My back up option came with hashbrowns which I asked for extra well done, and even explain that I didn’t mind waiting longer and when they came out they were not even close to well done. The service was great. I ordered a bottomless Mamosa and as soon as my glass was empty they were there to fill it out and it was a very good mix of champagne and orange juice, so well done in that department. As always the ambience is lovely and luckily the noise level was not too loud.
Nice views, friendly help. overlooking the ocean and marina
We are so happy that Watersedge is now open for dining!
We love the restaurant and have eaten there a lot in the past and enjoyed it. Since they reopened the whole restaurant the service has gone down. Last night we had no less than 5 people wait on is at different times and the service was very slow. After we sat down we waited for 10 minutes before anyone came by to greet us.
We ordered a bottle of wind and it took 20 minutes to deliver and no water while we waited. They all seemed to be backing up the waiter. After our dinner service no one came back to make sure everything was all right. The key waiter needs to be more attenuative and not rely on busboys to do his work.
Best halibut ever, the filet was equally exquisite.
All together a lovely experience. Highly recommend for inside or outside dining.
Wonderful restaurant with spectacular views. We were served right away with our reservations and given a choice of table. Our children were welcomed and our server was incredible! We will be back!
Great place to brunch near the water in Ventura. Easy parking, pretty views, and nice ambience and menu.
Searched for the perfect spot for our 15 year wedding anniversary dinner and sure did find it! Everything was delicious!!! Was seated right away, and served in a great timely manner . Will definitely will go again!
Enjoyed our outdoor patio table. Our waitress was not masked, kind of surprising. The Capitan salad was terrible, all watery/tasteless but our entrees were very good. We were still eating when waitress brought us our check, didn't even mention dessert which we had to ask for, disappointed we were made to feel rushed. Kind of pricey, especially with sides separate from entrees. Not sure if we would recommend to others at this point but will probably go back to try again down the road.
The staff and management were attentive, kind and polite. The food was amazing and on time. Starters were amazing.
Exactly what we wanted and expected. Even tried some a new Pinot Noir we've never heard of and now it's a favorite.
Service was wonderful! Our waitress was very sweet, and completely patient with how long we took to order. We were loud and having fun, and no one bothered us. The food was perfect, nothing less than stellar all the way around.
Asked for hot green tea. That was apparently a challenge. Also, the chorizo bolognese dish had no bolognese sauce, just chorizo and pasta. Somewhat disappointing. And, the ahi was served with minimal sides; would have made sense to add more wasabe and side vegetables. And, I would think the restaurant would offer soy sauce. The waiter tried though. He was energetic and attentive.
The view was wonderful. That part... no complaints.
Very disappointed in the food, it was not up to par as it used to be.
glad to be back to indoor dining. The service was a little slower than pre-COVID but food still best quality
Greeted and seated immediately
Great attentiveness by wait staff
Explanations provided when asked about menu items
A tad pricey compared to other harbor establishments
Waitress was outstanding, Rib Eye cooked to perfectly for me!
Fantastic! Everything tasted so good! We were shocked! Lobster risotto perfect! Perfect lobster mashed potatoes, halibut cooked perfect flavor excellent, scallops awesome, mahi mahi, and filet mignon great! Then the veggies also cooked perfect! Choc covered cheesecake so good! Sides are big to share! We are foodies and couldn’t even find one thing to improve. They had run out of oysters so that was the only negative and not really a negative. Not their fault they sold out at lunch.
The ambience at Water's Edge is lovely, but the food was very disappointing. The clam chowder was mediocre at best, pasta was room temperature and "red & white" salad was just awful. Plus, they ran out of oysters, which is very surprising for a seafood restaurant. We will not be returning.
We celebrated a birthday here. I was looking for a restaurant that felt special but not stuffy. This was our place! The staff were quite attentive. The food was delicious. We ate halibut and mahi mahi, shared both, and there was not a bite left because we loved both so much.
The chef came out to check up on our experience, which was not only attentive but fun, as we could pay our compliments.
At the end our waitperson brought out a delicious dessert with a candle in it.
View are beautiful, right on the water.
Definitely recommend for everything from just dinner out to an occasion.
Great view. Nice layout and eating environment. Service was excellent.
We started off waiting over 20 minutes before someone came to our table, but then they got us a new waitress and she was great. The food was not that great. No real flavor to anything so I was disappointed. The ambiance was very nice.
First time here and happy with the election. Great food, service , ambiance and view.
For sure we will comeback
Our waiter was wonderful. We ate appetizers and clam chowder. The chowder was luke warm though good. The 3 appretizers were excellent and plenty of food for the 3 of us.
However, the noise level was horrible. The sound bounces off the walls. The room needs to have sound proofing. There was a table behind us that was noisy and very annoying. I won't be coming back because of the noise level.
My birthday was made even more special by Waters Edge. Great food, lovely view & nice atmosphere. Thank you so much.
Over food was ok. Could have been better. Ambiance was good beautiful sunset views on water. Service was good and management was accommodating.
I can not recommend Waters Edge restaurant. It lies between poor and mediocre.
Beautiful views of Ventura harbor . See the boats coming in . Service was great and the food was lovely .
The vibe was nice, the staff was very sweet. Although our server messed up she was very apologetic. We had to wait an hour to get food. Luckily we had good cocktails, a fun view and great company.
Go for the harbor side views, food was ok nothing to write home about
