Beautiful water front restaurant with incredible views of Ventura Harbor and the most stunning sunsets anywhere in Southern California. Fresh seafood from the fishing boats to our kitchens and moderately priced for our customers.

Service was excellent, lots of delicious sounding options on the menu, and our food and drinks were great!
We always enjoy this place, but.... we order happy hour food most of the time, always amazing. This time we went rickets were dry & so were lamb sliders. They have a new chef so maybe that’s the problem. We will continue to go here bcuz we I’ve the ambiance & service. Hopefully chef will step up.
This was my first time ever at Water's Edge. I loved it. The food is delicious, the staff is amazing. I definitely will be back soon.
Booked water's edge for my mother's birthday she wanted seafood. Our server was Clover and she was extremely nice the view was spectacular watching the sunset the items that did not care for was the meal itself a my mother had the special. My mom had the halibut think that was fine I had the salmon which wasn't cooked that well the fingerling potatoes were plain and I asked for the sparagus to be cooked and they were still over crunchy. the dessert looked beautiful but their coffee mousse wasn't fluffy at all it was hard so over all disappointed with the food but the ambience the service and location was great. I think I might try a happy hour not too sure if I'd tried dinner.
Great service, great ambiance will definitely go back again.
We LOVED! Delicious. We let the server lead the way, and Coco did not disappoint! Beautiful meal.
Food? Really good and creative. Service? It was a Sunday morning, we were literally the first group there. Bartender had no orders, 1st round took 30 minutes, 2nd round (ordered twice) took another 30 minuses. Again, the restaurant was not busy at all. The food for our party of 5 took over an hour from order time to on the table. That part was unacceptable.
TD;LR: Food good,service completely unacceptable
The hostess made an error in putting us as a no show in the computer and I had to approach her with the email from open table with no show notice. she immediately said she entered our Rsvp in an error and made the correction. We had arrived early and sat at the happy hour bar and then later moved to the main dining room for our dinner.
The seafood was fresh and wild caught and their house wine was excellent ! The clam chowder and ahi sliders were delicious. The bread was cold and not piping hot freshly made so didn’t eat it. The overall ambience and waterview were memorable and romantic! The steamed spinach green beans and julienne carrots were tasty healthy substitutes for mashed potatoes!
We enjoyed our dinner and will come back again to try the items for the brunch menu.
I told my oldest son to take his wife to your restaurant. My wife and I will be there once a month from now on...she loved it that much and I was so impressed with your staff...great bunch of people!!!
It was a wonderful place with a view of the harbor and the food was wonderful
This was a birthday celebration for our daughter’s 40th birthday. Everything was excellent, although I was a bit taken back by the $25 corkage fee.
It was a great place for my date evening was so perfect you guys really took the time to listen to my needs and where kind enough to call me in advance and let me know the patio area was pretty chill and moved my table inside with a beautiful view 😊
Thank you thank you!
Great appetizer! Amazing dinner! Thank you for the Anniversary dessert! Water's Edge you knocked it out of the park tonight.
Highly recommend the outdoor table.
Right on the water with great service and a great happy hour. The Ahi tacos, ahi sliders and sweet potato fries are awesome!!!
Food was very good and our server was very attentive. It seemed our entrees took a rather long time to be prepared.
Good food, great atmosphere, fantastic views. This is always our go to place when we travel north to the central coast.
Views are great. Service was attentive but lacked the finesse of fine dining. Food was very good, cooked perfectly and the pricing was moderate, matching the quality of service and food. We felt that overall it was decent, and we will return.
Celebrating a birthday . the experience was excellent. Three diners ordered the halibut and I ordered the spaghetti and shrimp. All the dishes were properly cooked and served simultaneously. Thanks to the chef and the servers who prepared and served.
Lovely waters edge table for a reasonable price with delicious food.
Table for 7 at 6:00 pm. Our table was ready. We were seated promptly and greeted immediately. Bread and a light crostini were brought to the table. Appetizers were served well before our meals - nice! Wine corkage was reasonable and we enjoyed the bottles we had brought. They chilled the white perfectly for us. Everyone was greatly pleased with their dinners. Slight qualm: don’t print the lobster price in the menu and then quote a higher price as the “special”. Short ribs, clam linguini, and crab stuffed sand dabs were declared divine. The noise level increased as the night went on. The views were beautiful. We’d go again.
Waiter was non-existent at our table after we ordered. Had to flag down a hostess to get our tea glasses filled. Food was fair, nothing special. Harbor views were great.
Awesome food and service, as usual!
What a great happy hour menu and perfect setting to watch the sun set
The server was not attentive. The salads' ingredients were sparse when it came to items other than the greens. (I.E. very few beers and pears in the salad- not really "red and white" at all. Lovely outside dining. When the Happy hour menu is in play, it took forever to get our hands on the dinner menu and almost an hour to get food once we ordered.
Waters Edge offered excellent service and the sand dabs were amazing. It was our best dining experience in the area.
A gem in Ventura Harbor! Great Food and the view is breathtaking. We were there at Sunset and it was spectacular! The Clams and Linguini were like my mother used to make, incredible good!! 15 baby clams with a cherry tomato perfectly placed in each one. The linguini was perfectly "Al Dente". Perfection!
Great food - wonderful service - noise level too high
I like this restaurant. Orestes is always accommodating and friendly. The food is always good, the ambiance is nice if you like dark wood and harbor views, which I do. The general din at dinner hour can get a little imposing if you're looking to keep a lively conversation going, but maybe it's my "senior" hearing that's the problem more than the acoustics. Parking is easy and plentiful and the prices overall aren't too severe. I recently had a reunion here with a couple of dear friends and it served our purposes perfectly.
We arrived for a 10 o’clock reservation at 9:55 parent Lee the doors do not open until 10 and so there was a crowd in front of the doors which no one inside of knowledge. The doors were finally open at 10:05
We were seated at a table in the far corner of the patio which are clearly not been clean from the night before there was a pile of dog hair next to her table. The servers were very congenial and worked hard, but we’re very disorganized. For example four of us ordered coffee and they came brought by two separate servers on two trays.
The owner is very personable and everyone is clearly working hard. The ambience of the place was delightful. But the chaotic nature of the service as well as the dirty patio detracted from our experience.
Great food, service was extremely slow and inattentive considering how few guests were in attendance.
Date night! If you enjoy fantastic sunsets and a great ambiance in Ventura on the more upscale level with a casual environment. I suggest you try the Water's Edge. If you are a local Venturian, this location has been a around for a while, recently Rhumbline and prior to Rhumbline...Scotch and Sirloin. The Water's Edge family has taken the restuarant to another level with service and quality of food. Obviously, this is just my opinion and I suggest you give the restuarant a try at least once. I'm convinced you will be surprised. The Water's Edge family have truly worked hard on given this historic location a fantastic new vibe.
Can't wait to return for another visit. Food, staff and ambience were top shelf. Our stay was very comfortable.
Too noisy, expected a window table with early reservations but not.
Cute casual fare place with marina views. You get lots of food and it’s inexpensive! Ordered the clam chowder and fish and chips (cod) and my husband ordered the halibut fish and chips. Service was attentive. We live an hour away but will definitely go back when we are in the area again.
Pricey. Slow service. They served dinner before we received appetizers so we canceled the appetizer. The server could not tell me which crab was stuffed in the sandals. Dub genius, snow, rock, Alaskan? How difficult was my question? I ordered something else. I asked for a table to watch a sunset for my birthday. I was seated in the very lady table and could barely seat it, even though there were empty tables up front.
Food and patio was nice. Right on the harbor. Service was a bit slow
Very nice local restaurant. Walking distance from hotel. Dinner was delicious and the wait staff couldn't have been nicer. And the view of the harbor at dinner....spectacular!
Water's Edge is well placed for sunsets when the marine layer is clear. The Swordfish (Catch of the Day) was one of the best I have had at a restaurant. The service was excellent from the moment we entered until the moment we left. It a little hard to find, but well worth the hunt.
We had a lovely brunch with view here. Food was delicious and the staff was kind as they also sent over a bday dessert for my bf. Thanks.
Great service.. great food.. well taken care of by staff
