   Enjoyed happy hour on the patio while passing through the area. Olivia provided excellent service, and the drinks and food were delicious! Fantastic Old Fashioned. Great cheese curds. Prime rib was spot on. Butternut squash bucatini was OK; could’ve used more seasoning.  We’ve always enjoyed dining here when traveling. Iowa River Landing area makes a great overnight stop, and Watermill has become our go-to spot for a great, relaxing meal.

   Overall overall, the experience was OK. It was a little noisy, more so than it usually is. Of the four of us I had the most unsatisfactory meal. The food was cold. The server took it back and it came back. Still relatively cold. On the plus side, the manager did comp my meal. But the kitchen really failed in this particular instance.

   I thought the baked onion soup and beef fat fries were excellent. My filet steak was good and cooked to my liking. Margaritas and crème brûlée were very good. Our waitress was very good! Will go back to check out other options.

   Our food was delicious and our server, Olivia, was outstanding. It was a Sunday evening and not very busy so the noise level was very low and the restaurant not very loud, allowing us to have a very leisurely meal.

   The service was fine and the food was great. However, we were over charged for the meal and we were told it would take at least three business days for it to be addressed. This to me was unacceptable. I’m not sure what they’re thinking at this restaurant. Not good.

   Our server was attentive and the food was wonderful. We had the chicken sandwich, pasta, and smash burger. The chicken sandwich was the standout, which we weren’t expecting. Can we talk about the beef fat fries? YUM! Crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Perfect.

   Overall a good experience. Shirt rib was fantastic and substituted Mac n cheese for the potato option. Good choice, since the mashed potatoes were too sweet and wouldn’t be a good combo. The same potato’s came with their signature meatloaf dish. Disappointed. Meat was dry and the sauce too sweet. Would not order again. Tuscan pasta was good along with the French onion soup.

   The service was excellent, and it’s a very nice venue, but the food didn’t meet our expectations. The brisket sliders sounded inspired, but the food quality just wasn’t there. Similarly, the chopped salad was tired and uninspired.

   Noise levels were a problem but that’s the norm now.

    We had the most amazing server and food. The bone in Rib eye was perfect. The Sea bass was perfect. Everything was amazing, truly. But I have to rave about our server. I cannot remember her name, but she had a little purple in her hair. She was the sweetest , most attentive server I have had in years and you can tell she loves her job and loves people. Watermill... you have a rare gem in this woman. Please keep her happy. We will definitely return!
