The place is really nice. Would like to sit in another room next time, as opposed to the bar. I believe they have 4 rooms for dining.
They have a nice menu with lots of gf options. Decent wine and drink list too. The sushi menu is huge. They have specials during the week like prime rib and happy hour, also a brunch option on Sunday's.
The manager stopped by our table to check on us which was nice. We would definitely return again as it's really close to home.
Food and service was outstanding. A friend recommended Waterman’s Tavern and we were very pleased. We will go back.
Always looking for new places to try in the area. The dining are was nice. It has (3) distinct dining options. A Sushi restaurant, bar area and tavern. Nice part is that you can order all items in each area. We ate in the dining area. Food was very good and overall a good experience. I would go back for sure.
The food was adequate and our waiter provided excellent service. We were somewhat taken aback by the maître d' , who was busy on his iPad and did not look up as we came in. After a few moments, he gestured us to a booth and then a few minutes later ambled over with our menus. For the price, there are many other fine dining establishments in the area. This was only an adequate tavern with fine dining prices.
Ate in “dining room”, was noisy and room was not full. Need some sound proofing. Otherwise experience was great. Food excellent and our server Pam was outstanding!
Nice location- nice bar scene- but very loud you can’t hear conversations at own table. Took long time to get bottle of wine. Bacon appetizer almost impossible to chew (not anything like David Burke’s ). Ribeye was all fat but they did take off bill.
Our second time to the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. Definitely a restaurant we will frequent
Bread on table came out burnt to the point of the bottom being black. Crab cake appetizer was delicious. Crab rangoon sushi roll had ZERO taste and grilled cheese sandwich came out burnt on the bottom yet cold temperature as if it was sitting for a while.
The restaurant was not crowded. Wait staff was very nice. Did not send food back because times are tough but would have to re-consider a return visit.
A welcoming staff, Abby was a terrific waitress, good wine selection, broad and interesting menu. The sushi was very fresh. Nice atmosphere, sports TV at bar
Husband enjoyed his pork chop meal very much. I had a burger that was seasoned very well. Will definitely come back.
Always a great meal
Great fun- super Saturday night dinner with another couple
Stormy nite, great food, great service
Both our dishes were over salted and grilled salmon was dry..no sauce. A cucumber dill sauce would have been great. Service was good but felt a little rushed. Would return on a more casual note because we know what to expect. It's more tshirts and flip flops and that's ok.
Service was excellent! Waterman’s has a menu filled with gluten free options. They also have a dedicated fryer! They even served warm gluten free bread! Delicious!
Food was disappointing, tried to order sushi but couldn’t because they had a 30 minute back up, very loud and we were seated in the kitchen hallway. not a fine dining experience at all but with the price.
My first experience for dinner at Waterman's and it was a big disappointment. The best feature was the server--5 stars for her energy and engagement. However, the fried calamari was very tough and some of the worst I've ever had. I was dining with 3 business associates and two reported their dinners were fine. The two of us who ordered sushi thought it was only average. The biggest issue was the two diners who ordered entrees were served 25 minutes before the two who had sushi, The problem was explained and apologized for, but the hot meals should never have been served without having the others ready to go as well.
This was my first time at this restaurant, I was waiting for my boyfriend to arrive and nobody even approach me for about 15 minutes. I had to reach out to the hostess to ask for a waiter. Unfortunately my waiter seemed very inexperienced as he did not know anything about the wine list. And it took probably 20 minutes to get a glass of wine and I had to go with a second choice because he said that they could not find my first choice which was a rosé. The waiter never asked us if we wanted any bread. When our dinner came I asked for some bread and the rolls came out Burnt. My boyfriend asked what the vegetables of the day were and he was told baby vegetables…. Before my dinner came the waiter came back and asked me what temperature I wanted on my rack of lamb, meanwhile I ordered crabcakes and he did not realize it was the wrong table. My boyfriend is very picky with vegetables and as it turned out they were no baby vegetables and it was just sliced zucchini and squash. Of which he did not eat any of.. While we both did enjoy our meal the server was very inexperienced, young and seemed a bit scattered.
My wife and I were looking to go somewhere different. We never been to Waterman’s. We enjoyed the food, the live music and we like that they have many specials during the week that we will definitely try
Overall good experience, good food, good drinks and good vibes.
everything we expected it to be--good food, nice atmosphere--great service
Had a very nice dinner. Food was great and so was the service.
They couldn’t seat us place was closed
Food was very good although on the pricey side. Single crab cake appetizer was $19. Pork chop with asparagus and mashed potatoes ($36) was very tasty although potatoes could have been warmer. We were seated in a comfortable booth in a large bar area. Didn’t see the nice dining room from the online photos. Service was friendly and efficient. Seems like a good place to watch football. There’s also burgers and sandwiches on the menu that looked good.
Sushi was excellent. The two fish dishes- grilled salmon and cod were very good as well. We were seated immediately uoon arrival but were a little disappointed to find out that there was a more elegant dining area that we could have requested. We were seated in a booth by the entry door. We were given the option to move but had already ordered, so
We declined. Service was good. Managers visible on the floor.
Great mushroom bangers and salmon and lemon chicken were delicious. A little pricy and loud. Great food.
Fun date spot with all the options you could want; from sushi to short rib Mac and cheese
The food is always good here. We also love the new Sushi bar.
It was prime rib night and I invited my brother and his wife. Something was going on in the kitchen, we waited almost an hour for our meals and both prime ribs we ordered were terrible. They both were under cooked and we had to send them back. My wife’s was very nervie and she didn’t enjoy it. The waitress was great but not much she could do!
My wife and I are regular customers at watermans, way point and river cafe so we were disappointed but we may have lost my brother after last night’s meal!!
Walk in through bar area with tables n booth then through door into dining room . Nice room great food n service
Band was great! Nice mix of songs didn’t overpower table conversation pork chop was excellent.. tender, flavorful…mashed potatoes and string beans were delish! Will definitely go back.
Good was great ! Our server was awesome! We will be back
To begin our waitress did not introduce herself, which, in our opinion is an important part of the dining experience. A friendly wait staff makes you feel at home and ready to eat and to order more food and drinks! We got the filet minon and short rib. The short rib was fantastic. That is the only thing we would think about going back for. The filet minon was cooked medium well instead of medium rare and the Brussels sprouts (which I usually LOVE) had absolutely no flavor. To finish our evening we were considering a dessert to make up for my meal being sub par and to celebrate my boyfriends promotion, but instead of offering dessert our waitress dropped the check on our table without even an offer. This killed our desire for dessert and we went elsewhere.
Table of 6 with a child and adolescent. Every person at the table absolutely loved their meal. It was our first time there. I would definitely go again. We sat in the room by the wine refrigeration. I noticed there was a small private room for 12 to 14 people with a beautiful live edge wood table. I would definitely host a party there!
While we were disappointed we didn't get to try the sushi as they only have one sushi chef on staff and they were backed up with orders, we enjoyed our dinner and the service was outstanding. With restaurants struggling to find good help Waterman's service was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be going back.
Food was good but atmosphere lacked along with service especially for the price. We tried it but wouldn’t go back.
We had an awesome dinner here. The drinks, appys and entrees were all great. I had the rack of lamb and my husbands had a pork chop special that was so good we wish it was added to the everyday menu!
Our server Josette did a great job! All of these restaurants down here are dealing with limited staff and even with that in mind our whole experience here was excellent. Great job Watermans!
Food and service very good.
Manager was very rude and unaccommodating.
His comments and attitude over proper etiquette standards , will keep us from returning.
Our server Pam was phenomenal. Knew the menu and steered us in the right direction for what we wanted to eat.
