My wife and I went to The Waterlot for our wedding anniversary based on the rave reviews from many sources. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t match those of others. We were greeted right away and addressed by our names by a friendly hostess. Then a host brought us to our table by the water for a nice view. Then our server, who didn’t seem as experienced as the server in the next section, welcomed us and went over some chef’s selections. Our server was gracious enough to accommodate our request for pictures on the deck capturing the sunset. My wife had the French Onion soup which was delicious, as it had a distinct taste of the Bermuda onion, unlike what we get here at home. I had the grilled scallops as an appetizer, which was also delicious. However, not worth the $36 for literally 3 scallops. When in Bermuda, we order fish as much as we can. However, with The Waterlot known for its steaks and chops, is where the dining experience really fell short. My wife ordered the strip loin medium well and I ordered the filet mignon medium rare. What came out was her steak on the medium side, while mine was barely medium rare. Honestly, it was more ‘rare’ than medium rare. I could see ‘purple’ and the consistency was not firm. I was shredding it more than cutting. When the meal was served (by the server in the next section), she asked us to cut into our steaks to check for temperature. I questioned mine, which she said that I can send it back, but was MR, she said. I gave it the benefit of the doubt based on the lighting. To acknowledge our anniversary, they did come out with a sparkler in a stand with “Happy Anniversary written in chocolate and a manager got us a limo ride back to our hotel. We’ve learned that our experience doesn’t mean that it would be the same for everyone. It depends on your server and who’s cooking. For what you pay, service and proper temperature should be expected.

Might be one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We went for our 25th anniversary and they gave us the royal treatment. Could not have been more friendly and the food was absolutely outstanding in every way. Even dishes you might have had before were cooked and seasoned perfectly! Highly, highly recommend this place!

What a great renovation to a wonderful restaurant. It recently reopened. It is refreshed and beautiful. The service was on point. Everything was delivered timely. The best part was the food. Everything was a visual experience. The mushroom soup was not tradition but absolutely delicious. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection and equally delicious. Can't wait for our next visit.

Our dining experience was phenomenal. I've eaten at the Waterlot for decades. This was my second visit since the reopening and was last there in February for a friend's birthday dinner. This evening it was my husband and I alone celebrating our 12th anniversary. Every dish was great and our servers very attentive. It was a rainy and stormy evening but everything was perfect sitting near the dock overlooking the bay. The young gentleman at the top of the stairs who took our photo at my request was so pleasant as well. The only thing I would suggest is a little more attention upon arrival to clients particularly during inclement weather. Ie timely coat and umbrella check.

We all enjoined an amazing meal at Waterlot recently and will return soon! The entire party all agreed this is a 5 star restaurant. The drinks, dinner and shared dessert was outstanding. Attentive service as well , we were all very pleased with our dining experience at the Waterlot.

Service was outstanding. The servers were very attentive and polite. The food was equally outstanding. We enjoyed our evening immensely. We are sorry to be leaving the island as we would love to return. Highly recommend the experience
