Waterline at the Balboa Bay Resort is exceptional. We visited for lunch. Sitting directly next to the marina and water on their outdoor patio was a perfect way to enjoy the area of Newport Beach. Nautical in decor and casual yet sophisticated. Weather was sunny and the outdoor heaters softly took away the chill from the air. Our server, Victoria, was wonderful with a great smile. We started with Crab & Corn Chowder which was full of fresh corn and crab, lighter than an normal corn chowder so it didn't crowd out your appetite for your entree. For our entrees, my husband had a Cobb Salad made with organic mixed greens, rotisserie turkey, onion, bacon, hard boiled egg, radish, avocado, blue cheese, tomato, and served with a light honey balsamic viniagrette. It was large, but so good that he finished it off. I had a totally unique dish, the local Halibut BLT. Thick flaky piece of perfectly cooked halibut served with avocado, bacon, heirloom tomato, lemon aioli, and arugula stacked between delectable pieces of lavosh. It was brilliant and so original. We accompanied our meal with a chilled bottle of Ferrari Carano Fume Blanc. I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch, dinner and brunch.

Service was slow, there was plastic wrap in our salad and they just didn’t seem to care. It wasn’t that busy for the poor level of attentiveness I am use to at the Balboa Bay Club.

Pleasant surprise. Much better than most hotel restaurants. Food was great and the staff was very attentive. Views of the bay and all the water activities was wonderful. I have already recommended it to several friends.

I have been here numerous times and overall good food and attentive service, but our waitress was new ans their was no communication with the hostess - they simply forgot to celebrate our anniversary or make any mention of it!! For the amount we paid and after waiting 20 minutes for valet, I would not come back here for any “special occasion”

My son had prime rib with caesar salad and mashed potatoes. The caesar salad quite large and generous portion for more than one person. Prime was perfectly done. I had the Diver scallops which were perfectly done. The sauce was delicious on a bed looked like taro chips. The kids salmon plate was very nice with mashed potatoes and fresh cooked vegetables. Both my kids had the Kids Cookie chocolate chip ice cream sandwich. Sandwich was quite large for a child with sprinkles dipped around the sides. I had the passion fruit Torte which was delicious. Service was excellent. Our server was Daniela. She was very professional and personable. The view of the harbor was beautiful. There were boats decorated with lights going around and it's not even the boat parade yet. Dinner was fabulous.

Friendly and warm welcoming, it gets busy at the start of Brunch , was waiting for our waiter that why its called ‘waiter’ he said, with sense of humor. Foods are great! With free bday sweets for the bday celebrant, great! Just one fly flying freely at our table lol.
Everyone so warm! Good place.
