   The staff were working their guys out but something went horribly wrong. Whoever worked out the system, did a poor job. We were waiting for our mains for over 2 hours. People near us were waiting for their entrees for almost 3 hours whilst others were receiving their mains and dessert at the same time. The glass of wine in the package didn’t include Prosecco or sparkling (on Xmas day!) and the white wine offered was just sitting on a table (not in an ice bucket) so it was warm! The waiters served with their heads down! Meaning they would bring food and drinks to one table and walk off. Not realising 4 tables around them we’re trying to get their attention. If we hadn’t waved at someone, I don’t think they would have ever taken our order or given us our glass of warm wine. If they are going to be ambitious and fill a very large restaurant serving everyone at once, they needed to ensure they had a system (like a wedding of large function) that meant people got their food in a timely, efficient way. This certainly did not happen. If ruined our Christmas experience and many others (listening to the people around us) It’s a shame because the restaurant did have ambience and it’s in a prime location. Plus the food (when we receive it) was nice. (Apart from the trifle)

   They didn’t have my reservation on their system and made a table next to the kitchen. They were understaffed and the entire service we just witnessed people coming up to the kitchen and complaining to manager. The portion sizes were ridiculously small, not to mention my main was almost inedible due to the amount of salt they had put in the sauce.

   Went for the set menu for Christmas Day lunch. Very willing to make concessions given how hard it is to find staff during these covid-times, but the service was comically bad. HUGE wait times between courses, which wouldn't have been as much of a problem if we'd been able to order drinks. Asked about my ordered drinks 3 times, then went up to the bar and was told to go back to the table. Made a sport of watching the wait staff do literal laps of the restaurant carrying food and looking for table numbers - even by the end of the 3 hour sitting they still hadn't clocked what the table layout was or what their section was (no one admitted to having been assigned to our section). Once the food eventually arrived (my partner was served and then had his food taken back away from him!!!!), it was ok, but the whole experience had been soured. Multiple people around us left without waiting for the full 3 courses. Very disappointing - unbelievable how badly the situation was managed. They were clearly overwhelmed. Won't be back.

   Where do I start, 2 1/2 hours wait for meals and when they finally arrived they were cold, not warm COLD. Can’t complain about the service as there was none, 40 minutes to get a drink after arriving. Would never recommend, would prefer to eat at McDonalds!

   Terrible doesn’t even begin to cut it. This was for Christmas Day dining. oysters were room temperature and gelatinous - didn’t taste fresh at all and had concerns over food safety Child didn’t get entree, turns out the person didn’t put it through and had to go add it after the fact. Ask for bread twice, never came. Was told it ran out, only to see another table being served bread. I enquired as I was told kids got chicken and chips and was told by staff that was incorrect and they just got a smaller serving of the main/entree - only to have the table next to us be delivered chicken and chips for their kids Only had a drink order taken once the entire seating - correction someone finally asked if we wanted another drink after 2 hours and 40 minutes - which didn’t come for 30 minutes, until we were getting ready to leave It took 2.5 hours to get mains. Mains which were dropped on another table but then someone realised the mistake and went back to the table to get the food. During Covid.. The fish arrived stone cold and both servings of lamb overdone. None of the veggies were cooked through with the lamb and there was no mint jelly There was no point even trying to get someone’s attention to fix the issues, as everyone was run off their feet. We had tables around us leave with full plates of food. Deserts didn’t arrive until 3.10pm. Such a disappointing experience

   We attended the 12-4pm seating at the Waterfront Restaurant on Christmas Day and were bitterly disappointed with our experience. The service was extremely poor. Our meals arrived at different times and 3.5 hours after we arrived, our dessert and mains were served at the same time, which I assume was an attempt to get us out before the seating ended at 4pm. The meals when they finally arrived were cold. Our drinks order was incorrect, and it was very difficult to get any assistance from the wait staff. The lunch sitting was a pre-booked lunch with a set menu, the restaurants’ planning and staffing was not adequate for the number of people they had taken in for lunch sitting. While the views from the restaurant are beautiful, I would not recommend this restaurant given the long waits for food and drink, the quality of the food and the poor service.

   The service was poor - 2.5 hours between entree and main. Waiter was courteous at all times and very sympathetic to our plight. Too many people in the restaurant for the number of kitchen and waiter staff. Main meal inadequately cooked. We would never go to this restaurant again.

   Reservation time was wrong for a start booked in for 11.30 and doors didn’t open until 12.00and when we were seated couldn’t find table number got our entree was delicious then it took them 40 minutes to remove empty plate then for main meal took 2 hours to receive it and it was cold didn’t tell them because we where hungry then for dessert it came about 15 minutes after main service for ordering drinks was very slow it was so under staffed shouldn’t have taken booking if you can’t handle it first time out for Christmas lunch and very disappointing have been there before this is why I booked it and was happy this time very disappointing
