WaterFire Restaurant and Bar
From long, sunny, summer days and rich volcanic soil to the winding waterways that give life to our lands, we’re blessed in the Northwest by a perfect convergence that produces unmatched diversity in our culinary landscape.
The calamari was delicious & the scallops were even better! Excellent waiter, Ryan- very attentive & engaging.
Great dinner! Menu fabulous
Daren runs an amazing restaurant! Food is great as well as the service. A little noisy but then the place was packed. This is the place to go.
We made reservations and were seated at the bar. Food and service was great but would have liked to have been asked if we were ok being seated at the bar.
Went on Valentine’s Day. Everything was perfect. Food was amazing, service was excellent, our entire experience was great.
We went to Waterfire on Valentine's Day. They were very busy, but the service was amazing. They had our food out quickly, everything was delicious, and the servers were attentive. Can't wait to go back. A new fave!
Nice server, quick, good food. Over lit for my taste but clean and beautiful
It’s good but expensive. The people are nice and dressed professionally.
Love the food! Waiter was excellent
Our waitress was great and very attentive but it was not that crowded and I assume that if more customers were there it would have been covered.
Food was very good and I'm celiac so no problem.
Great food. Well prepared and seasoned. Restaurant was very very noisy. Will come again but not on a Friday night.
Meal and presentation was great. The fish tacos had very little fish. - disappointing. Steak and ahi were really great. Loved the cream brûlée and eggnog cheese cake
The food here is always great. Drinks are well prepared and the house specialty drinks come with a little show at the table. Service this time was a bit slow but the food was just as great as usual.
Treated us so well and surprise dessert was fabulous and decadent! I would go back over and over again!
Scallops were fabulous! Great waiter- great dining experience
Great food, great atmosphere, Great drinks! Awesome military discount. ORRRRRAHH!!
Excellent menu and food choices. Service was prompt and courteous. Our party of 4 was all pleased with their dinner.
Food was very good! The menu has a wide variety of choices to choose from. We had great service! Definitely will be back!
We sat in a circular booth and it was very uncomfortable. The cushioning was to firm and seams between sections were placed wrong where you would have to sit on them. That was the only really negative experience we had everything else was great.
We went to WaterFire for a nice early Christmas dinner and to celebrate my son coming home from college. Food was great and the service was awesome considering how busy they were. We will definitely be going back!
The food was amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the servers are awesome.
Fabulous restaurant and fabulous food! If you haven't tried, please do.
Reservation option is a nice upgrade from prior management. Service was attentive but not excessive, which was enjoyable. Food deserved mixed review. Calamari [starter] was overcooked and rubbery. Salmon and Prime Rib [entres] were well prepared. Accompaniments were subpar. Overall, the meal and experience were good, but in light of cost would be rated only a 3 star.
Great food and wonderful atmosphere. WaterFire is my fav place to hangout with friends and even for date night and a romantic dinner.
I think we were there on an off night. I've been before with excellent service and food. Tonight our server was not very friendly, there were long delays with entrees and dessert, incorrect menus given three times, no silverware. Long wait again for the bill. I'm still recommending as I've been very satisfied in the past.
Loudest restaurant I've been to ever but has great food.
Excellence at all times is hard to achieve. Last nights Hibachi Steak appeared and tasted like an entirely different entree than prior servings at WaterFire. The mushrooms were served raw instead of sautéed and the sauce was thin, light in color and tasteless. The asparagus was not edible in that the tempura did not adhere to the asparagus and was served limp, stringy. Steak was tough and not medium rare as ordered. What a disappointment for an entree that two weeks ago was delicious. Service was slow and inattentive.
It was a busy Friday evening with several large groups which raised the noise level considerably. We shared the Brussel Sprout appetizer and enjoyed crab cakes and scallops. Also recommend the Apple Crisp for dessert. Service was excellent despite how busy they seemed to be.
Wonderful food, wonderful service, a truly memorable night at WaterFire. We celebrated our anniversary there, and were greeted at the door by Derrin, and ended the evening with a complimentary dessert and coffee. We had salads and the filet and the scallops. Everything was superb. We will be back.
Food was great, service was terrible. Very upset about the added gratuity even though the service was bad.
A fun spot for a bite and a beer but in the Fall, Winter and Spring, wear a sweater if you want to sit by the windows. The large windows radiate cold. During the Summer, the best spots are outside on the patio.
Food and service were great, though a bit pricey. But selection was nice. Noise level was very high and made conversing difficult. Would be nice to have sound dampening or room dividers to help.
We had a birthday party for one of the ladies in the office. Service was excellent. We had a Thai nachos, calamari, salmon, mac & cheese. I ordered the steak salad. I prefer the steak salad at the Yakima Steak Company. I’ve been here several times and have had the Aji tuna salad which is excellent. The food overall is very good. I think the service is very good to excellent.
The wait staff was as cordial as could be. They made special arrangements for my parents, who use walkers, and that was comforting. They had happy waitresses who served the cake, I brought, for a nominal charge.
The food was delightful- everyone in our party had something different and were very happy (including our 4 year-old granddaughter) Our server was great - he entertained us all with magic tricks. (Ok - he was mainly entertaining the kid, but the rest of us enjoyed it, too) The restaurant itself is set up to allow table conversation, which is always nice.
We’ve been going back yearly and they had always been able to fix my drink called The Vesper. I was very disappointed your establishment didn’t have the ingredients to make The waiter also served the wrong steaks to the wrong person.
Food was great. Noise level high. Service was great. No complaints.
Overall our dining experience was excellent. We ordered the lettuce wraps and pork belly potato skin appetizers. Both were good but a little on the sweet side. For dinners we had two different steaks, a mac and cheese, and a prime rib. All were cooked well and delicious. I will absolutely be back.
I dislike giving a poor review to any restaurant, especially to one owned by a local citizen with good intentions and a worthy goal of presenting fresh local foods in a variety of cuisines. The evening began with promise by our being seated promptly in a booth in a quieter part of the restaurant, as we had requested. The wait staff were prompt in attending to our drink orders, menus and in answering questions. Our server asked if there were any special occasions to consider, and we mentioned birthdays, as I had indicated in my OpenTable reservation. Pluses: The restaurant's ambiance is pleasant and upscale casual. The clam chowder ordered by one guest was served first and at the right temperature to enjoy. The diner dubbed it an ok chowder, "not great." Next, we were served an order of pot stickers to share, and each diner agreed they were delicious. It's a winner. The diner who ordered the Cedar Roasted Salmon with risotto and asparagus, was ok with her meal. Minuses: The order of a Caesar Salad with Cedar Grilled Salmon was not pleased. It was not made with Romaine or traditional Caesar dressing and the salmon was not seared. An order of filet mignon was tough and strewn with gristle, though served medium as requested. The Balsamic Steak Salad ordered without the candied walnuts, was a wet blob of greens in the bottom of the dish, under strips of steak cut too thick, difficult to cut and not tender or flavorful, just chewy. The entire dish was overpowered by a too generous dousing of the sweet balsamic glaze, too much bleu cheese and uncrisp frizzled onion rings. The quality of the salmon and meat choices top our list of disappointments along with the Caesar Salad. Our server apparently forgot our mention of birthdays, when asking if we wanted dessert. We declined. We weren't feeling very festive at that point. The prices are reasonable, but perhaps reflect lack of quality in the meat and fish served. Maybe it was an off night.
We took a customer with a reservation on a Friday night at 6pm. Seated promptly. We all ordered the surf and turf. The lobster was cold and overcooked-rubbery. The steak was cooked propberly. The kitchen was not staffed properly, we waited over 30 minutes for the appetizer and another 30 for the entrees. Wait staff was attentive and charming. Runners kept stopping by the table to give us other orders. Back and front of house need more training.
Our first visit..... immediately impressed by the thoughtful and energetic service. We met the owner/executive chef (who was busy helping out the front team)...... The exterior and interior of the restaurant is quite pleasing to the eye.
The food was fantastic. I mean, fantastic. Crab cakes with outstanding sauces.... halibut.... salmon.... all fresh and prepared, plated and presented with a lot of care!
This is our new "go-to" restaurant in Yakima!
