Shrimp and crab pasta had NO flavor at all. There were 3 shrimp and one tiny lump of crab. Extremely disappointed.
Excellent as always! Meals are consistently great, old favorites and specials. Love the unique takes on ravioli. Great wine list .
The primary problem was the food: The fish special was to spicey, though the server said it was mild, and the pasta promadoro was orange and green unlike any promadoro i’v ever had. It was very untraditional.
Was a bit disappointed this time. Place wasn't even half full and neither was the bar when we showed up for a noon lunch. Getting drinks took a bit, food was good but when ordering a second round of wine by the glass it took over 20 minutes and by that time food was cold or all gone. Didn't understand what the delay was and it took awhile ro wrap up.
The service was incredibly slow. It wasn’t busy, place was barely half full. Was over ten minutes for server come to take drink order and rarely checked on us during meal. Food was pretty good, would have been better if order was correct. Not sure why this place is a local fave, I was unimpressed. Glad we had all afternoon because that’s how long this lunch felt.
Waiter was a little slow.
The Colorado lamb chops were fabulous! Jordan offered wonderful hospitality.
Special of the Day good. Selection off regular menu fair. Our server lackluster.
Excellent dinner and happy hour.
Brought a friend there for the 1st time as I've always enjoyed this place. Food was good, service was not as good. The waitress brought us a dirty wine glass and when we were leaving we asked for a to go box and she proceeded to place a dirty plate from the table on top of the food we wanted to box up.
We had a good Easter Brunch at the Washington Park Grille. Our reservation was scheduled at 1:15PM, we waited an extra 20 minutes to be seated at our table. No problem we were not in a rush. The food was good (crab legs, oysters and few desserts were very good) . Due to high traffic few items (crab legs and biscuits) went missing quickly. It was also becoming messy with food dripping here and there on the buffet tables. The restaurant set up make you go through the people waiting to be seated with your plate full of food. The hostesses and our waitress have been great. We would go back but probably not for the Easter brunch (too busy).
Great food with wonderful, friendly and attentive wait staff.
Always a good experience! Good food, good service, quiet and homey
Delicious meal, nice wine selection, casual atmosphere. Enjoyed our dining experience. Will definitely eat here again.
We were there on a busy Saturday night, but our server Kelsey was still prompt and attentive. The kale-carrot salad with raspberry vinaigrette was well prepared, as was the mussel appetizer. The french fries are delicious, you might try them as a side dish. Worst part of the night was finding parking.
Why is this a “go to” for so many? The food is bad, the service is horrible and the noise is drum shattering.
WashPark Grille is always a favorite of ours, but this occasion was a bit disappointing given that our app order was not delivered at all, and all the sudden we had our entre'. Had to track app down. The connection between the order and the food deliverer was broken. After we were 1/2 way through the entre', our apps appeared. The class thing to do is at least comp the calamari. Had to take home. Have you had warmed over gourmet calamari? You can do better at your price points.
We had attended Sunday brunch for a birthday celebration & the waitress was less than accommodating. When asking for other bread options due to nut allergies, she said they can’t do anything else or special because it is a buffet (although they did have an order menu to choose from). Seems rather odd to pay those prices yet for those with allergies, there just aren’t any other options... Our waitress clearly showed her annoyance because we asked for other options which was disappointing to us.
Really enjoy this restaurant! Great food, service and atmosphere.
The overall experience was excellent. Food, as in previous visits, was great. We also experienced friendly and efficient service. We'll be back!
As always, the food and service were great. I had an entree salad for my lunch, the salmon and roasted butternut squash - delicious. My companion loved her cobb salad, and we both enjoyed the pre-meal bread with olive oil and veggies. Our waitress never hurried us, but was always available if we needed something.
Go for the delicious food, as each of us were very pleased with our dishes. Sadly, expect to be rushed or ignored if you’re a party of 5 on a Saturday at 6:30pm.
Best reuben sandwich I've had in years. Will definitely go back again.
Great brunch! Many many choices and all delicious!
We have never had a bad meal at Wash Park Grille. We have been going there for as long as it has been open. The food never disappoints for brunch, lunch or dinner and the staff is always friendly.
I have been to this restaurant every so often, and I am always pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. It is a neighborhood gem that keeps me coming back for date night and special occasions. I recommend it for lunch or dinner. Great spot!
Food choices were limited. Wine by the glass was extremely limited and wine list was poorly organized. Had to wait on server and repeat requests. Not nearly as nice as a few years ago.
Enjoyable time and food together with friends, will go again in the future.
We came for Restaurant week. I enjoyed the 25.00 limit for an appetizer, Entree, and sharing a dessert.
Very few vegetarian choices which was disappointing. The food was very good overall . It took a long time to get our drinks but our server seemed to have the entire room . It was my friends birthday, I think the dessert should have been complimentary but it was very good.
Great menu for Restaurant Week. We were a party of four, and everyone totally enjoyed the food and drinks. The service was great.
The brunch here is nuts! We are so glad we came. Will definitely be returning. I also loved that while many other brunch spots are a 2 hour wait, this place was quiet and relaxing, it was easy to find parking, and the food was delicious.
The heater was Blowing SO hot that we were uncomfortable. My pizza was obviously made mid- day and then they had to just warm up but it was downright Cold! My son ordered the pasta Carbonara but the chicken was so shredded that it had the consistency of cat food and there were maybe three shaved and overlooked brussel sprouts- not fresh tasting at all. We had a 7:30 Reservation but were told that we may have to wait 20 minutes
We went to Wash Park Grille for restaurant week and were very pleasantly surprised by the selection they made available on the menu that evening at the $25 price tier.
We have enjoyed Wash Park Grille in the past, but the selections we had, Pork Chops, Roasted Chicken and Lamb were all outstanding. The appetizers/salads we enjoyed included the Venison sausage, which was excellent. We topped off the meal with the Apple Crisp and it was wonderful. Truly a very enjoyable evening at an amazingly good price.
I've eaten at the Washington Park Grill before and liked it well enough to want to return. The meal we got for Restaurant Week, however, was not great! I would think the Restaurant Week selection should WOW the guest to entice them to come back and pay full price. Instead, it was really average. Our server, however, was grace under pressure!
Restaurant Week, so busy, but we had the best meal we ever had at Wash Park Grille. Food was very tasty.
I was looking forward a full meal and invited our friends and our daughter to join us. Our server seemed as if he had better things to do than wait on our table. The pineapple martini's are not pineappley at all! There was no sweetness to them... very little flavor. I asked for pineapple juice to be brought to make them palatable and it was never brought. I asked for a pear martini, he never rang it in and I had to follow up on it. When asked if they honored a military discount, our server stated that the owner was too cheap to consider a military discount. I had to ask for silverware. Basically, even though the food was good, the service and the attitude made the experience bad.
We visited Washington Park Grill on the very first night of Denver’s restaurant week. We had a reservation at 6:30 PM, and we were probably seated. However, it was all downhill from there. It took about 15 minutes just to get a glass of wine. Despite ordering fairly early, our appetizers never arrived until 7:30 PM, and our dinners followed about 20 minutes later.
Our waiter Joshua was excellent. He kept checking in on us and apologized several times about the delay. Even gave us a complimentary glass of wine for our patience. If it wasn’t for his excellent service, we would’ve walked out. They were obviously not prepared for the crowd that evening.
