We had attended Sunday brunch for a birthday celebration & the waitress was less than accommodating. When asking for other bread options due to nut allergies, she said they can’t do anything else or special because it is a buffet (although they did have an order menu to choose from). Seems rather odd to pay those prices yet for those with allergies, there just aren’t any other options... Our waitress clearly showed her annoyance because we asked for other options which was disappointing to us.
Really enjoy this restaurant! Great food, service and atmosphere.
The overall experience was excellent. Food, as in previous visits, was great. We also experienced friendly and efficient service. We'll be back!
As always, the food and service were great. I had an entree salad for my lunch, the salmon and roasted butternut squash - delicious. My companion loved her cobb salad, and we both enjoyed the pre-meal bread with olive oil and veggies. Our waitress never hurried us, but was always available if we needed something.
Go for the delicious food, as each of us were very pleased with our dishes. Sadly, expect to be rushed or ignored if you’re a party of 5 on a Saturday at 6:30pm.
Best reuben sandwich I've had in years. Will definitely go back again.
Great brunch! Many many choices and all delicious!
We have never had a bad meal at Wash Park Grille. We have been going there for as long as it has been open. The food never disappoints for brunch, lunch or dinner and the staff is always friendly.
I have been to this restaurant every so often, and I am always pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. It is a neighborhood gem that keeps me coming back for date night and special occasions. I recommend it for lunch or dinner. Great spot!
Food choices were limited. Wine by the glass was extremely limited and wine list was poorly organized. Had to wait on server and repeat requests. Not nearly as nice as a few years ago.
Enjoyable time and food together with friends, will go again in the future.
We came for Restaurant week. I enjoyed the 25.00 limit for an appetizer, Entree, and sharing a dessert.
Very few vegetarian choices which was disappointing. The food was very good overall . It took a long time to get our drinks but our server seemed to have the entire room . It was my friends birthday, I think the dessert should have been complimentary but it was very good.
Great menu for Restaurant Week. We were a party of four, and everyone totally enjoyed the food and drinks. The service was great.
The brunch here is nuts! We are so glad we came. Will definitely be returning. I also loved that while many other brunch spots are a 2 hour wait, this place was quiet and relaxing, it was easy to find parking, and the food was delicious.
The heater was Blowing SO hot that we were uncomfortable. My pizza was obviously made mid- day and then they had to just warm up but it was downright Cold! My son ordered the pasta Carbonara but the chicken was so shredded that it had the consistency of cat food and there were maybe three shaved and overlooked brussel sprouts- not fresh tasting at all. We had a 7:30 Reservation but were told that we may have to wait 20 minutes
We went to Wash Park Grille for restaurant week and were very pleasantly surprised by the selection they made available on the menu that evening at the $25 price tier.
We have enjoyed Wash Park Grille in the past, but the selections we had, Pork Chops, Roasted Chicken and Lamb were all outstanding. The appetizers/salads we enjoyed included the Venison sausage, which was excellent. We topped off the meal with the Apple Crisp and it was wonderful. Truly a very enjoyable evening at an amazingly good price.
I've eaten at the Washington Park Grill before and liked it well enough to want to return. The meal we got for Restaurant Week, however, was not great! I would think the Restaurant Week selection should WOW the guest to entice them to come back and pay full price. Instead, it was really average. Our server, however, was grace under pressure!
Restaurant Week, so busy, but we had the best meal we ever had at Wash Park Grille. Food was very tasty.
I was looking forward a full meal and invited our friends and our daughter to join us. Our server seemed as if he had better things to do than wait on our table. The pineapple martini's are not pineappley at all! There was no sweetness to them... very little flavor. I asked for pineapple juice to be brought to make them palatable and it was never brought. I asked for a pear martini, he never rang it in and I had to follow up on it. When asked if they honored a military discount, our server stated that the owner was too cheap to consider a military discount. I had to ask for silverware. Basically, even though the food was good, the service and the attitude made the experience bad.
We visited Washington Park Grill on the very first night of Denver’s restaurant week. We had a reservation at 6:30 PM, and we were probably seated. However, it was all downhill from there. It took about 15 minutes just to get a glass of wine. Despite ordering fairly early, our appetizers never arrived until 7:30 PM, and our dinners followed about 20 minutes later.
Our waiter Joshua was excellent. He kept checking in on us and apologized several times about the delay. Even gave us a complimentary glass of wine for our patience. If it wasn’t for his excellent service, we would’ve walked out. They were obviously not prepared for the crowd that evening.
disappointing service. Young man that was aloof or lacked training. Water and wines empty before ever noticed. Bad service difficult to process when next door tables had a young women that appeared to check on her tables 3 times more often. I would have easily ordered more wine and dessert but was so beyond let down that I just wanted to leave. Was Keenan too you, lacked experience, or go with his excuse that he had tables at opposite ends of restaurant . The entire experience lacked lustre and that is not the service I'm used to at WPG.
First time there and pleasantly surprised! Great service and nice atmosphere!
We have been to Wash Park Grille multiple times and has been a great expiernece. This time was just ok! It was not as busy as usual so the buffett didn’t stay as fresh. Always have had great service. This time our waitress didn’t say a whole lot to us. Did not take out dirty dishes. Never really said anything just set the bill down and walked away. We will be back. Just hope for a the experience we were use to.
The food was decent but nothing memorable, we were sat in the outdoor/indoor patio area which wasn’t terrible but the outer wall was extremely cold and both my date and I had half of our bodies warm from the propane heater and half our bodies cold. I heard other tables mention this too.
Service was ok, drinks and refills took quite a long time but I understand it was busy.
Overall, it was ok but imo overpriced for the quality, there’s simply better options in the area.
Had meetings at Denver University and very convenient to campus. Great location easily accessible to downtown and Tech Center. Outstanding service. Excellent good. Great service. Highly recommend.
This place exceeded expectations. There were many great menu options and most everything has the ability of being made gluten free. Food was delicious. They also had some great cocktails as well. Would highly recommend!
I am always happy to dine here. They are consistently good. Food is excellent, service is terrific and the location is perfect.
All our entree's were STUPENDOUS!
The wine Wednesday deal was also an incredible deal.
This restaurant has a nice ambiance and the service was great!
Very predictable. Nothing exceptional but always good. The wine list is way way way overpriced. Same wines across the street at Reivers are $4.00 less per glass.
After we turned in our dinner order did not see our waitress again until we were finish and she delivered our bill. And then we saw her multiple times until we put our payment out. Meal was served be a floater. We had to find someone else for water refills - which he followed up with a couple of times 😃. Many open tables so not busy at all.
Just try this place. You won't regret it.
Overall it was a good meal, but not great. Signature entree (chicken) was good, but not great. Service was good but not great.
Good meal... nice neighborhood staple
Great service, very customer oriented. Great food
Our waitress was fantastic! Food was good and ambiance was perfect.
Weekday lunch. Great atmosphere. Ravioli with grilled shrimp amazing. Lobster BLT very good as well. Highly recommended.
Always good! Excellent food, atmosphere. My husband loves the neighborhood feeling, and always reminds us it used to be a pharmacy he could walk to as a lad!
Just a tried and true place for family to get together! Always good - you can count on having a good meal with good service!
