We had a party of seven and everyone who went really enjoyed the experience overall. The food was absolutely amazing and our hosts/greeters were the sweetest and nicest as ever. I know I can always expect a great time here.
I’ll always come back here as long as this place is open. In my opinion, one of the best places to eat in Denver!
Great place but booths were a little tight to fit into
I took my daughter and her family from out of town to celebrate her 40th birthday because my wife’s 50 we celebrated their and it was a good experience before. We had the girl with the nose ring she was disconnected after spending $200 we won’t be back nobody said anything when left like thanks for coming.we waited a long time for our food. The food was good but the service was terrible. I think bottom line it is a poorly managed restaurant
Overall very good experience but our sever was simply overwhelmed and the overall service suffered as a result.
We had a 5pm reservation on Mothers day. Waited for 15 minutes to get a table so they could clean the menu's. Once at the table waited for service. The hostess finally came by and filled our water glasses. Then we waited for the waitress. The waitress finally showed up and took our drink order. Then we waited for the drinks. Then we waited for the waitress. When she finally showed up again we had to prompt her to talk about the specials. She had zero table interaction. I have had better service at the Village Inn. The appetizers showed on time and were good. The soup course was very late. The main course was really late. My wife's halibut was the smallest portion I have ever seen served. Ugh!
Went for Mother’s Day. It was terrible. The food (buffet) was completely picked over and extremely unappetizing that we simply bypassed every “station.” The shrimp, crab legs and oyster bar was sitting on a few melted ice cubes left over from when the bar was fresh. The scrambled eggs was nearly empty and cold, and was not replenished the entire time we were there.
I personally witnessed a mother holding an infant (maybe 8 months old) facing outward, at the waffle station, and the baby (with shoes on) stuck her foot into the whipped cream. The mother told the person who was making waffles what had happened. He wiped her shoe off and DID NOT replace the whipped cream. I told our waitress what had happened, she said she’d take care of it, and nothing was done, while people were spooning the cream onto their waffles, they had no clue what had happened.
Then, to make matters worse, the staff was serving themselves the “leftovers” from the stations and sticking their hands into candy jars, desserts, etc...The buffet hadn’t quite closed down yet, as it closed at 3, and this was just prior to that, while patrons were still able to enjoy their brunch. SMH.
Needless to say, with tip we spent about $230, for 4 of us. Hardly a wonderful Mother’s Day Brunch to remember.
Our reservation was for 12:45, sat outside, a beautiful day but food wasn’t that good this time. Shrimp wasn’t fresh, seemed that the food sat for awhile and didn’t taste well! We came last year 2018 for Easter and the food was fabulous! Not this year sadly!
Wash Park had been a Mother's Day tradition. This will be the last year. A buffet with wide choice among mediocre offerings, from burned bacon to under-done shrimp. Service appeared to be a chore for the servers.
WPG brunch is always great. There is something for everyone to eat whether you are a carnivore, herbivore, or omnivore. The service is a little rough during Brunch because the place is always packed. It is not a major detriment. Overall, a great choice for a special occasion Brunch or to treat yourself.
reasonable prices, great food, great wine choices all in a lovely neighborhood
Adams service was laced with understanding
Appreciated the booth.
Brunch was Great!! The service was poor we waited a long time to be greeted by our server. We waited a long time for our beverages and I asked twice for my coffee. Clearing plates and beverage refills were slow and we paid for the bottomless mimosa but only received one refill because our server never returned. We had to flag him down for our beverage refills and our check. Food was great and the restaurant was beautiful. To bad about the service.
We have been here in the past with excellent service, food, etc. We wanted to share our like of this restaruant with friends but the service was TERRIBLE! The food was excellent but we arrived before 7 pm and didn't leave until after 9.
We've lived in Wash Park West for almost 3 years now, and this was our first visit to Washington Park Grille. Surprisingly, we were able to get reservations at the last minute on a Friday night. Even so, it was busy and very lively when we arrived. I think we were able to slip into that magic time before the happy hour crowd left and the dinner crowd arrived. Everything was perfect. We had an attentive and enthusiastic server who really knew her stuff and made great recommendations when I was torn between two entrees. The noise level allowed for conversation. The ambiance was cozy and elegant, yet not stuffy at all. The food was delicious, and I was pleased to find gluten-free options. We will definitely return!
We were a party of 6 and had a great time. I had the bison short ribs - yum! The gluten-free beet pasta that came with it was amazing. The lavender lemon drop martini was a little lackluster, but the house Cabernet went beautifully with the ribs. I tacked on a key lime pie to go that held up well until the next day. Overall, a great place.
Been coming here for 3 years. Service was good. Food tasted dry on dishes we normally get. Mentioned birthday for wife and not even a candle at dessert. So experience was serviceable but we were just not feeling it was up to normal par for a special event.
Just about the perfect neighborhood place. Been around for many years, always a great sign, and should be around for many, many more. Nightly specials are outstanding value-for-money but everything on the menu is both a great deal and of high quality and taste.
For the price and the location I was disappointed. My lobster mac and cheese did not taste very good to me or my wife. With prices like that they need to come through.
The Easter Brunch is amazing. Tons of delicious options to fill every desire. It's very easily a four or five plate meal. Service was also fantastic, which doesn't always happen with a buffet. Drinks were always full and plates promptly removed. My singular complaint is on the diaper changing facilities. This is 2019 and women AND men BOTH should have the ability to clean up their children in the restrooms, NOT just the women. Not only was I the only one that could even change our child's diaper, I had to straddle a toilet to do so. The changing table is shoulder height and directly above the toilet. I'm tall and was in heels and still had trouble reaching my daughter. The stall was fairly large so the table can easily be moved to the other wall, and lowered. And you can get with the times and actually add a changing table in the men's room as well.
The chief at Washington Park Grill is very creative and he comes up with very original exceptional fabulous tasting dishes. Our whole meal including appetizer was very good. I always look forward to eating there.
Had a wonderful time and my nephew who is 13 loved the Scottish Salmon. He said it was the best he has ever had. Thanks for the great meal and service was fantastic as usual!
We had a wonderful server and fantastic food!
The food was excellent, with a flair of something different. Great service, ambiance and environment good for conversation. The value was great for the amount of food per serving. We would definitely come back and tell or bring friends.
We went there for Sunday brunch with my girlfriend. The brunch buffet had a great selection of food. The service was still awesome coming around as often as needed to refill our bottomless mimosas. Would definitely recommend it, especially if you have an appetite !
I was seated in a side section where there were no other customers. When I asked to move, they stated the dining room was for reservations, which I had. Felt a lot like segregation.
It is a favorite place of my wife and I and has been for 20 years. Always the same no surprises. Just great food and friendly service.
Always enjoy WPG. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday as we did with son and other family members. Brunch was very good. Deserts were a bit dried out but I assumed it was because everyone was enjoying the real food. Service was also good. We will definitely be back.
Service was poor.
Monday pizza specials are the best deal of the week. Great pizza, great price.
I would try again but a bit overpriced for the quality. Service seemed busy.
This place has stood the test-of-time and with great justification. This particular review is based on their amazing Sunday brunch. There's also an al-a-carte menu for those who want to go that way but the buffet, with juice and coffee included, is just a fantastic value. But of course, low price is meaningless if the food or selections are poor. Neither is the case here with literally every choice, of the dozens and dozens, being terrific. A great neighborhood place any day/night of the week, Sunday most definitely included.
Got the buffet for brunch. Lobster Mac was great. My Friend claimed his Lobster club was “maybe the best club sandwich I’ve ever had”
Great service as usual. Food was good.
A terrific value and so easy to park and they don’t rush you. Strongly recommend this long time local eatery. Great Sunday brunch
We’ve been coming here for years. Food is always good.
Waiter rushed us a bit, didn’t offer anything for my wife’s bday, and brought out the bill and asked for payment prior to our desert arriving. He made an otherwise good experience less than good and I was disappointed.
Service was spotty. Slow and brought the wrong bottle of wine. Opened it and poured before I knew it was incorrect. Server seemed very overwhelmed. Folks at hostess stand not overly friendly. Bartender was attentive and good.
Ate on the patio. Very much enjoyed the experience
Seated the two of us even when we were more than several minutes late.
Parking in the evening a problem for someone who uses a walker or cane.
Different menus to try......liked the bison ribs selection.
Took over an hour to get food.
Terrible service at my moms birthday brunch. Food was great, we come here every year for special occasions but this was a huge disappointment.
