I have been going to the Wash Park Grille for years and I don't think I have ever had a bad meal there.
Great food every time but the service was so poor I wouldn’t return.
I liked our waiter very much; however, I didn't like it that he had added the tip to the bill.
When he handed me the device to sign with my finger, he informed me that 20% had been added.
I would have given him at least 20% anyway because everything was very good, but adding the tip is at my discretion -not his.
I understand that I could have taken it out, or changed it; but that is still presumptuous.
Had a great relaxing and fun family bday dinner. Food was outstanding.
Simply terrible service. Before we ever got served I already noticed the manger walking around and apologizing to other tables. Not a good sign. I could see drinks sent back that were messed up.
Our food and drinks tasted fine but I had to ask for a sever twice before we got served anything. Then she kept disappearing and forgot our bread twice after being asked.
She was clearly stoned or disinterested. With food at that price I expected much much more.
We will not be returning to wash park grill. Ever.
Okay dinner- Half price wine is awesome but food didn’t hit the mark this time. Server and management responded well, though.
Great dining experience, they had a live jazz band playing which fit the mood and the food was great. Highly recommend their pizza
Food, service and ambiance all great live music on Saturday night
Brunch was fantastic! Will return. One of the best quality and choices.
The live music was way too loud (even sitting far way from the band). Good for bar/party atmosphere, but not for dinner.
Burger was overcooked to the point it was hard to chew. Waitress so busy she never checked on us until we wanted to pay and get out of there. I never write about a bad experience as I know it can happen occasionally.... and usually the restaurant will care. No one cared to ever check on us. Service was slow and food overcooked. Not a great experience at all. Very disappointed.
Brunch was fabulous...great food and service! We were able to take our time and go back to the brunch buffet tables numerous times...wish we could have stuffed more in! The atmosphere was perfect for our birthday celebration!
The Sunday Brunch was delicious, with options that pleased everyone. From the Eggs Benedict to the Chocolate fountain to the carving station, waffles, cheeses, desserts, and more - we would highly recommend a brunch here!
The food, atmosphere and waitstaff were all predictably good. I’ve have Sunday Brunch there on occasion for decades. It’s a reliable place to spend a Sunday morning dining and visiting with a friend.
Was out for a special occasion, had a nice table waiting for us in a fairly crowded dining room. Numerous serving errors, ill-timed delivery of appetizers, missing chicken breasts, and also, the meal for our baby wasnt brought out until we were leaving. Our waitress had inadequate support and we felt bad for her, she did her best. Poor communication between FOH and BOH resulted in a dinner worth forgetting.
The food was just ok which was a little disappointing considering the price point. Also, the process of the server running credit cards at the table is a bit awkward, especially when he indicated how to add 20% gratuity.
THe BIG BUMMER was we picked Halloween day to have lunch. The parking was a nightmare that day. I’m
Sure the have a retail association for the area. For next year I would make NO PARKING signs start at 2pm and Not any earlier.
I have been quite a regular for decades even before Falcone’s)
I always order the ahi tuna salad. It’s so much smaller now, it’s heavy kale instead of light greens , much less tuna, tuna teeny and sliced thinly.
In 40 years I have never been disappointed in WPG but that day I was!! And such a tiny portion for $19.
Please go back to how you had it for years!!
We had a great experience at Washington Park Grille. The restaurant is beautiful, service was friendly and food delicious. I would highly recommend.
Katie, our server was outstanding with her recommendations and service. Loved the food!
Great local neighborhood spot for dinner or a cocktail while watching a game.
We have been going there every time we go to denver. It’s a tradition in our family to eat there on the last night of our trip. Probably been doing this for 15 yrs
The food was incredible. The Goat Cheese/tomato/garlic/flat bread thing was delish! My pasta dish was tasty as well. Service was good. Band is a little loud to have a conversation with anyone.... Love this local treasure that has been around for years and is always high quality
Although we had a reservation we had to wait for about 10 minutes as the Grille was very busy.
The ravioli that I ordered was not very hot but tepid.
Everything else was very good and the waitress did an excellent job.
Wait staff - whittney was fantastic! Kitchen got backed up but she kept us in the loop. Lobster pizza was delicious.
Waitress was very good. Food was average. The steak and tuna were great. Lobster tux was not that good maybe three small pieces of lobster. The shrimp was good, and claims.
Buffalo burger was great!
Pasta was over done.
The food was excellent but need to keep an eye on your lobster macaroni because the first people who indulge themselves with it pluck out the lobster and leave hardly any lobster left.
Always good here. A local neighborhood place but always reliable. Lobster pizza was good. Seared ahi also wonderful.
We are obsessed with Washington Park Grille! The atmosphere it very nice and it's not too loud, the service is outstanding and the food couldn't be better. I had two friends in town visiting so I took them here and they want to go every time they come to visit now. Thank you!!!
The evening did not start well. After receiving your email about using valet parking, we arrived about 10 minutes early and waited at the valet spot for about 10 minutes with nobody showing. When I went to the front desk, they told me to go back out and find the valet. When I found him, he told me that it was a slow night and he was closing up (this was at 7:00, and your email had said that valet was available from 5:00 to 10:00) . So I had to drive around the block to find a spot, while my wife was sitting in the restaurant. Needless to say, this is not a very good way to run a service business. The food was fine, and our waitress was very efficient and friendly. Too bad the evening started so poorly.
As our experience at Wash Park was a birthday celebration, I was rather disappointed. I ordered the rack of lamb. The meat was fatty. I don't think I will return
We always enjoy an evening out dining at the Wash Park Grille. The food is outstanding! The Halibut, Rack of Lamb, and Steak Bruschetta were delicious. Service is always exemplary. The atmosphere is perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion.
Very good overall. Good daily specials. Presentation of chicken skewers was very cool and unique. French onion soup was 4.8/5
It was awful with the exception of our waitress, Sara. She was great. One of the other waiters was obviously drunk and he almost dropped a tray of food on one of the people at our table and subsequently, it would have dropped on our entire table. As it was, he dropped it by the table next to ours and got food all over other guests. Just awful
Very good food all around, but some items are perhaps priced above the value of what you receive as a diner on your plate. Service was professional and friendly. Lively vibe, but noise was only moderate, even with the live music in the next room.
Lentil soup was VERY salty; Tuna poké was delicious. Love the location & ambiance, we had a reservation but service was so slow we had to go up to the front and ask for menus/server. Doubt that we will ever go back, there are simply too many amazing restaurants in Denver.
I’ve been a customer of WPG for years. I’ve witnessed the quality of food and service go down as the prices went up. It is hard to park on Gaylord Street so visiting this restaurant requires a real interest in what it offers. Unfortunately it’s food and mediocre service do not attract me any longer. Salad, soup, one appetizer and two ice teas for $73.00 is too pricey. Server standing over us with a pod that automatically added a 20% tip is downright offensive. No wonder restaurant was half empty at noon.
A lot of wait staff standing around while we waited 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Pet peeve of mine....seat us at a table where the waitstaff will at least acknowledge us being in their station.
Wash Park Grill is a favorite place to relax and visit with friends over good food. The service was excellent--available but not intrusive. Our server was friendly and helpful.
