Father’s Day brunch
Fabulous brunch! Took my husband and family there for Father's Day and he was delighted that they have oysters on the half shell. Our waiter, Stephan, was attentive and plesant. Would, and have, recommended this restaurant .
This my son’s graduation lunch, which noted in the reservation. They gave our table away, then seated us in no man’s land without service for over 45 min. The. When we did get a wait staff we were still struggling for bread, water, anything! Worst service of any place.
Our second visit here. Great food, excellent service, all around good experience. My daughter and I both had the specials if the day, copper river salmon for her and crab crusted trout for me. Delicious!!
Adequate portions, always delicious, great service
We sat outside on the
It was a bit noisy when the larger trucks went by
Stephen was wonderful
Food good as normal
Ordered two salads and it took forever to get them - then had to wait for check forever - then had to wait for someone to come to table to cash out. Lunchtime should be quicker!!! Salad was very good.
Prices are high, but so is the quality. I wish they had a few more vegetarian options, but overall great food and great service.
My husband and I have not eaten here in years Nicole our server was excellent. The ravioli dish that was a nightly special was good. My husband ordered the NY Strip medium rare. It came with zero pink inside the server gladly took it back. The second steak was cooked more to his liking however both ends were fatty and the neither steak had any juice. In both cases it’s a poor quality cut of beef. I rarely complain but the steak was poor, the special was good as was the salad. Nicole was wonderful.
Riley was a wonderful waiter--very friendly and attentive. Had a very large Cobb Salad that was perfect!
The Wash Park Grille is a neighborhood favorite and never disappoints. Overall, the atmosphere and food make up for any minor flaws (such as limited bread choices on the Sunday Brunch Buffet). We frequently recommend it to newcomers and find it a convenient and reliable place to enjoy good food with friends.
The food was outstanding...and very reasonably priced. There was a live band in one part of the bar that made conversation a little tricky at times, but, still, the overall experience was wonderful.
Thank you...excellent experience. ××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
We had a party of seven and everyone who went really enjoyed the experience overall. The food was absolutely amazing and our hosts/greeters were the sweetest and nicest as ever. I know I can always expect a great time here.
I’ll always come back here as long as this place is open. In my opinion, one of the best places to eat in Denver!
I would hope the Wash Park Grille could do something about the condo lawn mowing, etc. across Mississippi during the lunch hour! Not only was it noisy but they were blowing the stuff in our direction on the patio! Pretty awful!
Great place but booths were a little tight to fit into
I took my daughter and her family from out of town to celebrate her 40th birthday because my wife’s 50 we celebrated their and it was a good experience before. We had the girl with the nose ring she was disconnected after spending $200 we won’t be back nobody said anything when left like thanks for coming.we waited a long time for our food. The food was good but the service was terrible. I think bottom line it is a poorly managed restaurant
Overall very good experience but our sever was simply overwhelmed and the overall service suffered as a result.
We had a 5pm reservation on Mothers day. Waited for 15 minutes to get a table so they could clean the menu's. Once at the table waited for service. The hostess finally came by and filled our water glasses. Then we waited for the waitress. The waitress finally showed up and took our drink order. Then we waited for the drinks. Then we waited for the waitress. When she finally showed up again we had to prompt her to talk about the specials. She had zero table interaction. I have had better service at the Village Inn. The appetizers showed on time and were good. The soup course was very late. The main course was really late. My wife's halibut was the smallest portion I have ever seen served. Ugh!
Went for Mother’s Day. It was terrible. The food (buffet) was completely picked over and extremely unappetizing that we simply bypassed every “station.” The shrimp, crab legs and oyster bar was sitting on a few melted ice cubes left over from when the bar was fresh. The scrambled eggs was nearly empty and cold, and was not replenished the entire time we were there.
I personally witnessed a mother holding an infant (maybe 8 months old) facing outward, at the waffle station, and the baby (with shoes on) stuck her foot into the whipped cream. The mother told the person who was making waffles what had happened. He wiped her shoe off and DID NOT replace the whipped cream. I told our waitress what had happened, she said she’d take care of it, and nothing was done, while people were spooning the cream onto their waffles, they had no clue what had happened.
Then, to make matters worse, the staff was serving themselves the “leftovers” from the stations and sticking their hands into candy jars, desserts, etc...The buffet hadn’t quite closed down yet, as it closed at 3, and this was just prior to that, while patrons were still able to enjoy their brunch. SMH.
Needless to say, with tip we spent about $230, for 4 of us. Hardly a wonderful Mother’s Day Brunch to remember.
Our reservation was for 12:45, sat outside, a beautiful day but food wasn’t that good this time. Shrimp wasn’t fresh, seemed that the food sat for awhile and didn’t taste well! We came last year 2018 for Easter and the food was fabulous! Not this year sadly!
Wash Park had been a Mother's Day tradition. This will be the last year. A buffet with wide choice among mediocre offerings, from burned bacon to under-done shrimp. Service appeared to be a chore for the servers.
WPG brunch is always great. There is something for everyone to eat whether you are a carnivore, herbivore, or omnivore. The service is a little rough during Brunch because the place is always packed. It is not a major detriment. Overall, a great choice for a special occasion Brunch or to treat yourself.
reasonable prices, great food, great wine choices all in a lovely neighborhood
Adams service was laced with understanding
Appreciated the booth.
Brunch was Great!! The service was poor we waited a long time to be greeted by our server. We waited a long time for our beverages and I asked twice for my coffee. Clearing plates and beverage refills were slow and we paid for the bottomless mimosa but only received one refill because our server never returned. We had to flag him down for our beverage refills and our check. Food was great and the restaurant was beautiful. To bad about the service.
We have been here in the past with excellent service, food, etc. We wanted to share our like of this restaruant with friends but the service was TERRIBLE! The food was excellent but we arrived before 7 pm and didn't leave until after 9.
We've lived in Wash Park West for almost 3 years now, and this was our first visit to Washington Park Grille. Surprisingly, we were able to get reservations at the last minute on a Friday night. Even so, it was busy and very lively when we arrived. I think we were able to slip into that magic time before the happy hour crowd left and the dinner crowd arrived. Everything was perfect. We had an attentive and enthusiastic server who really knew her stuff and made great recommendations when I was torn between two entrees. The noise level allowed for conversation. The ambiance was cozy and elegant, yet not stuffy at all. The food was delicious, and I was pleased to find gluten-free options. We will definitely return!
We were a party of 6 and had a great time. I had the bison short ribs - yum! The gluten-free beet pasta that came with it was amazing. The lavender lemon drop martini was a little lackluster, but the house Cabernet went beautifully with the ribs. I tacked on a key lime pie to go that held up well until the next day. Overall, a great place.
Been coming here for 3 years. Service was good. Food tasted dry on dishes we normally get. Mentioned birthday for wife and not even a candle at dessert. So experience was serviceable but we were just not feeling it was up to normal par for a special event.
Just about the perfect neighborhood place. Been around for many years, always a great sign, and should be around for many, many more. Nightly specials are outstanding value-for-money but everything on the menu is both a great deal and of high quality and taste.
For the price and the location I was disappointed. My lobster mac and cheese did not taste very good to me or my wife. With prices like that they need to come through.
The Easter Brunch is amazing. Tons of delicious options to fill every desire. It's very easily a four or five plate meal. Service was also fantastic, which doesn't always happen with a buffet. Drinks were always full and plates promptly removed. My singular complaint is on the diaper changing facilities. This is 2019 and women AND men BOTH should have the ability to clean up their children in the restrooms, NOT just the women. Not only was I the only one that could even change our child's diaper, I had to straddle a toilet to do so. The changing table is shoulder height and directly above the toilet. I'm tall and was in heels and still had trouble reaching my daughter. The stall was fairly large so the table can easily be moved to the other wall, and lowered. And you can get with the times and actually add a changing table in the men's room as well.
The chief at Washington Park Grill is very creative and he comes up with very original exceptional fabulous tasting dishes. Our whole meal including appetizer was very good. I always look forward to eating there.
Had a wonderful time and my nephew who is 13 loved the Scottish Salmon. He said it was the best he has ever had. Thanks for the great meal and service was fantastic as usual!
We had a wonderful server and fantastic food!
The food was excellent, with a flair of something different. Great service, ambiance and environment good for conversation. The value was great for the amount of food per serving. We would definitely come back and tell or bring friends.
We went there for Sunday brunch with my girlfriend. The brunch buffet had a great selection of food. The service was still awesome coming around as often as needed to refill our bottomless mimosas. Would definitely recommend it, especially if you have an appetite !
I was seated in a side section where there were no other customers. When I asked to move, they stated the dining room was for reservations, which I had. Felt a lot like segregation.
It is a favorite place of my wife and I and has been for 20 years. Always the same no surprises. Just great food and friendly service.
