The Easter Brunch is amazing. Tons of delicious options to fill every desire. It's very easily a four or five plate meal. Service was also fantastic, which doesn't always happen with a buffet. Drinks were always full and plates promptly removed. My singular complaint is on the diaper changing facilities. This is 2019 and women AND men BOTH should have the ability to clean up their children in the restrooms, NOT just the women. Not only was I the only one that could even change our child's diaper, I had to straddle a toilet to do so. The changing table is shoulder height and directly above the toilet. I'm tall and was in heels and still had trouble reaching my daughter. The stall was fairly large so the table can easily be moved to the other wall, and lowered. And you can get with the times and actually add a changing table in the men's room as well.
The chief at Washington Park Grill is very creative and he comes up with very original exceptional fabulous tasting dishes. Our whole meal including appetizer was very good. I always look forward to eating there.
We had a wonderful server and fantastic food!
We went there for Sunday brunch with my girlfriend. The brunch buffet had a great selection of food. The service was still awesome coming around as often as needed to refill our bottomless mimosas. Would definitely recommend it, especially if you have an appetite !
I was seated in a side section where there were no other customers. When I asked to move, they stated the dining room was for reservations, which I had. Felt a lot like segregation.
It is a favorite place of my wife and I and has been for 20 years. Always the same no surprises. Just great food and friendly service.
Always enjoy WPG. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday as we did with son and other family members. Brunch was very good. Deserts were a bit dried out but I assumed it was because everyone was enjoying the real food. Service was also good. We will definitely be back.
Service was poor.
Monday pizza specials are the best deal of the week. Great pizza, great price.
I would try again but a bit overpriced for the quality. Service seemed busy.
This place has stood the test-of-time and with great justification. This particular review is based on their amazing Sunday brunch. There's also an al-a-carte menu for those who want to go that way but the buffet, with juice and coffee included, is just a fantastic value. But of course, low price is meaningless if the food or selections are poor. Neither is the case here with literally every choice, of the dozens and dozens, being terrific. A great neighborhood place any day/night of the week, Sunday most definitely included.
Got the buffet for brunch. Lobster Mac was great. My Friend claimed his Lobster club was “maybe the best club sandwich I’ve ever had”
Great service as usual. Food was good.
A terrific value and so easy to park and they don’t rush you. Strongly recommend this long time local eatery. Great Sunday brunch
We’ve been coming here for years. Food is always good.
Waiter rushed us a bit, didn’t offer anything for my wife’s bday, and brought out the bill and asked for payment prior to our desert arriving. He made an otherwise good experience less than good and I was disappointed.
Service was spotty. Slow and brought the wrong bottle of wine. Opened it and poured before I knew it was incorrect. Server seemed very overwhelmed. Folks at hostess stand not overly friendly. Bartender was attentive and good.
Ate on the patio. Very much enjoyed the experience
Seated the two of us even when we were more than several minutes late.
Parking in the evening a problem for someone who uses a walker or cane.
Different menus to try......liked the bison ribs selection.
Took over an hour to get food.
Terrible service at my moms birthday brunch. Food was great, we come here every year for special occasions but this was a huge disappointment.
This is one of my favorite restaurants-have ordered the $27 pork Chop many times - and it always came out perfect. This time, it was over cooked and it lost it’s tenderness. I ordered another one and it was perfect. The desert took them 20 minutes to serve. I think they were having chef challenges. I would go back!
We are from out-of-town but always enjoy coming to Wash Park Grille when we are here. It has a very nice menu with reasonable prices. Service is attentive without being intrusive. It's a big plus that there is free valet service in the evening. Highly recommend it.
Great lunch spot, very large menu.
Extremely erratic wait staff experience. Brought the wrong food, wrong drinks, and were overcharged for several items. Very disappointing dining experience.
The brunch buffet is the best in Denver, huge car it& everything thing is delicious!
We made reservations but arrived early so we took a seat in the bar/lounge area where we were thoroughly ignored by several cocktail waitresses (no lack of staff) for several minutes while folks around us were being served. Finally I waved to one who was standing directly across from us who was chatting with another cocktail waitress. She came over and took our drink order then several minutes later, the drinks - a wine and a beer still hadn't arrived- when we were called to our table. The wine wasn't great and neither were the entrees. I ordered a meatless pasta dish that turned out greasy and weird tasting, my daughter barely touched her child's pasta and my husband's pepperoni pizza was typically greasy as well. The food is overpriced for the quality. I glanced up a few times from my dinner towards the bar and noticed the waitresses and bartender were more often than not standing around chatting- this was a Saturday night dinner. The next table over pointed out the special they ordered was not the special advertised on the menu and it turns out this had been happening all day. This used to be a great place- I feel sad to see how downhill it's gone.
Love this restaurant! The "naked pasta" is delicious! One of the best values in town:)
Love the location, good food, friendly service. We were actually able to talk to one another, because the noise level is not excessive. I also appreciate the clean restroom.
Will definitely be back soon.
Outstanding food quality. We have never been disappointed with WPG.
I am from out of town, and new nothing about the restaurant, except from what I read and saw from Open table. I was entertaining clients, but figured it was worth taking the chance.
The service was excellent! They were very attentive and friendly... the ambience in the restaurant was great as well - it had a local charm to it.
The food was outstanding as well - everyone in our group raved about the entire experience for the rest of the night.
I recommend Washington Park Grille to anyone who is looking for great food, service and ambiance
We came in on Sunday night and ordered the Prime Rib dinner. We ordered it medium rare and it came out well done. We have eaten at Wash Park Grille many times and this was our first bad experience. The waitress was also not very attentive and the service was extremely slow too. We will definitely go back but hope we have a better experience next time.
We waited first for the waiter to come to table & greet us, and then we waited 45 mins for our food. The omelets were small portions and very dry.
Great Sunday Brunch - Great location in Wash Park area!
We were seated in the newer space and there really isn't any ambiance. It took a looong time to get our food and when we did one of the couples didn't get their pizza. I think they may have forgotten to make it because it didn't arrive until the rest of the people at the table were finished eating.
Had a great time! I a never disappointed when I visit.
We were there for restaurant week. The food, service, and ambiance we're excellent until we paid the bill. We we handed a paper check and I laid out my credit card as usual. Our server ran my credit card through a mobile device and handed it to me. The display had a total amount higher than the bill with no itemization and no apparent reference to our bill. It took me a while to realize that below the bold total was our bill amount before tip in very small light font. The display was asking me to choose between 4 tip levels: "No tip", "18%", "20%", "25%". I learned afterwards that the percentages we're after tax. WHAT? Did tax prepare our meal; did tax serve and wait our table?? Our server stayed at our table while I had the mobile device. I usually discuss the tip with my wife, but this was not an option. The electronic device took control of the tip away from me.
I will be reluctant to return and not recommending WPG as long as they continue to use electronic billing.
A friend and I took advantage of the "Restaurant Week" deals and had a sort of "Mardi Gras" special dinner. The food was delicious, and the service exceptional.
Went for 5280 week, and my entree was very good (pork chop), but my husband's was mediocre at best. (Chicken pasta carbonelle?). We loved the ambiance the most, the appetizers were delicious, and my key lime pie was great, too. It was wonderful to actually be able to talk to and listen to our table guests!
Service was slow but the ambiance and food was excellent.
Food was great as always. But you needed more servers.
