Wasatch Brewery - Sugarhouse
Fun, good chow, great beer friendly service, kids welcome, a bit hard to talk
Great salads. Turkey burger was dry
Waitress was weak link. Everything else was great
Food was OK, service average to below below average. No check back after food was delivered until the meal was almost over. No manager to be see any where,
Just average, do not drink so no comment on the beer.
I made the reservations on Open Table app. When we arrived a bit early, the host proceeded to tell me how much he despises the app and he doubted he could seat us at the time we “thought” we had reserved. He could have just checked us in and been done with it instead of making me feel stupid for not calling instead.
Wasatch is a go-to place for me. I love their food and have always had great service. When it's winter and you have to eat inside, it can certainly get noisy during the dinner rush. Beer and food are both great but the cocktails seem a little lacking in quality.
Good food. Nice venue. Forget about having a quiet conversation! It's noisy, even on a Sunday morning/afternoon. Loved the jalepeno cream ale with pepperoni pizza. And the fact that you can get 50 cent tasters. Awesome wait staff!
Great beer with a good menu selection. Everyone in our group found something they enjoyed.
Server made a mistake on my meal. Apologized but other person in my party was almost done eating by the time my food came. Then took a while to get aerver’s attention for the check. Usually a good experience. Just ended up with a poor server.
It was like a sports bar, but not very sports centered. It would be a good place to go and watch a game with a good beer and food.
Love how the menu keeps getting better. Went there for great food and beer.
We love Wasatch! The Sugarhouse location is better than Park City for food, service not so much. Our server ended her shift in the first 15 minutes or so of us being seated-which is totally fine-but the second server came by to refill beer once and drop off the grub, didn’t check on us once after that. We will of course be back-but hope for better service!
The visit was great. The only change I would make is... Upon arriving for my reservation, I asked if we could be seated outside, I was told that there was a wait list for outside and would have to wait at minimum 30 minutes. If you have a reservation, and there is a table outside, that should take precedence over any "outdoor wait list." There was a table available.
Had a fantastic time! Food was great!!
Great Jalapeño beer and always good food. So nice they take reservations now.
Great food and service. The fried brussel sprouts are awesome! The salmon with pureed cauliflower and veggies, also great. The beer was also excellent along with the service, no problem requesting changes on the plates to meet dietary needs. The portions are good, everything fresh, we went back every night for 3 nights while tucking kids in at college.
The place was packed, and therefore noisy. When our food arrived it was obvious why. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. It's a wide open area that brings to mind a large cafeteria like at a college. We had a 6:30 PM reservation, but with such ample seating, I suspect we wouldn't have had much of a wait if we didn't. When we return we might try a less popular time.
Enjoyed a very good porter, steak was tasty and tender. Roasted root vegetables were very good,
Eleanor was our server, and she was awesome, on top of everything, and efficient. Jalepeno Cream Ale was the best of 4 beers I had, great rendition of this style. Burger cooked exactly as ordered.
Great place for a late night meal and enjoying the summer evening on the patio. We were able to use Open table at 10pm even though we would not have had a problem getting a seat that late. When everything around closes at 9, it's really nice that they stay open late. Great local bar scene, local beers, and night life in Sugar House!
VERY comfortable ambiance -great service -really enjoyed the experience
Food is pretty good. I have had the ahi salad a couple of times, but the dressing could use a little wasabi or more spice. Generally pretty good - safe bet.
The food was fantastic, the beer was delicious, but the customer service gets the most kudos. We attempted to make reservations online for 11 and kept getting an error, so we made two separate reservations. When we arrived, we inquired about putting our two “parties” together and although they were very busy, they did everything they could to accommodate us. We were in town for a short time and we’re getting together with family, so their efforts did not go unnoticed and we’re greatly appreciated.
The BLT was delicious and the Cobb salad perfect. Patio seating nice but somewhat crowded, kids, dogs, people!
We ate brunch on the patio. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the huevos ranchero and breakfast pizza. We will definitely go back!
