   Whilst I absolutely love Peruvian food and wish to see more of it in Sydney, the food is only average in my opinion and somewhat overpriced.

   I had a booking for 8:30 pm to celebrate our anniversary with my partner, I was looking forward to trying some Peruvian flavours before our trip to South America these coming holidays. On our way there, I received a call from the restaurant letting me know that the table that was supposed to be free for me at 8:30 pm was still being used, and we were asked to arrive at 9 pm. On our 9 pm arrival, and after standing 10 minutes at the entrance with nobody greeting us, I had to go to look for someone who could help us to sit somewhere, but unfortunately, we were told that our table still was in use, and they offered us to "cancel our booking without any fee, or come back at 9:45" for when out table suppose to be ready and they offered us a welcome drink on the house. Frustrated and starving, we had to wait another 30 min as it could be difficult to find walk-in tables on a Saturday night in Surry Hills. Finally, after finding ourselves sitting at our table at 9:45, ordering all-time best-sellers like pisco sours, ceviches, lomo salteado, etc (closer authentic Peruvian food) the items just came by 10:15 pm, almost 2 hours after our original booking time. Can get worse than this for a planned anniversary dinner?

   Great atmosphere. We had the tasting menu which was nice but there could have been more variety. More than one courses included corn and potatoes. Ceviche flavour was amazing.

   Great food. Service is also great and really nice atmosphere. Perfect for a date night! Let down by order in which food was served. Eg main before appetiser and bread. But the quality of food overcomes this and we really enjoyed the experience regardless!

   Good food overall. Service - staff are nice but they lack a bit experience I feel, I also had to order my lemonade 3 times before I finally got it…

   Warike Peruvian is our favourite Sydney restaurant. The new menu is fabulous - delicious interpretation of the classics. Top service from Andrea & Sofia as always. Look forward to trying Hector's new restaurant Lima Peruvian-Japanese at Dawes Point very soon.

   Lovely food and atmosphere, really made our anniversary meal special - we did over order on the food but meant we had leftovers to enjoy the next day

    Very tasty food! Ceviche was delicious - would have loved some real sweet potatoes though instead of purée (but that’s just me being picky!). Some of the best Peruvian food we’ve found in Aus 😀
