From the moment we walked in we were treated to a pretentious host, who acted as though he was doing us a favor helping us. There is no bar to wait at. The owners were incredibly sweet and attentive unfortunately their support staff is horrific. The server was sarcastically combative for almost the entire dinner service. As for the food the bacon wrapped dates and crab bisque were delicious. The beet salad was serviceable. The pork roulade was dry in some parts raw in others. I really wanted this to be a great experience out and it was a laughable failure, we won’t be back.
The food was outstanding! The service was great as well
We went for brunch. Not busy at all. The biscuit and jam combo was good. The restaurant is lovely, and service was attentive and prompt. But, I had the Monte Cristo plate and it didn’t have much taste. Not sure what happened to the prosciutto and the cheese was lackluster. All jam (same as the biscuit we had on the side). The French toast was tough to cut as if over baked and the side salad was slightly bitter and veggies seemed less than stellar and chewy for the price of the plate. Others at our table had better food experiences on other items but overall I would not go back for brunch again.
Love this place and the excellent food. We arrived at 8, and quickly ordered 2 courses. The first course arrived quickly, but our entrees did not arrive until about 9:15. Two nearby tables arrived after us, finished their meals and left before our entrees were served. Something clearly went amiss in preparing our entrees. Please correct this, so that we may become regular patrons.
Everything was lovely, food (delicious), service (professional), and ambiance. Serving sizes were very healthy and wine list was excellent.
We had a fabulous evening at this beautiful restaurant. We were warmly greeted, had a wonderful server and started with a wine flight. The small plates were creative and scrumptious. Soup and salad was very flavorful. The entrees were out of this world. Melt in your mouth filet mignon and Agnolotti pasta that was light as a cloud. We barely had room for dessert, but it was a birthday celebration made extra special.
Food was excellent but a bit over priced. I would go back but probably just for drinks on the patio.
Food, atmosphere and service were excellent. We will definitely eat there again.
Everything was so delicious. Loved being able to have a wine flight and try different wines there! Service was great and brunch was incredible!
This is the best place to go for brunch! Started out with an orange and cranberry scone then had the Crab and Salmon Benedict. Both were amazing! The castle is beautiful and the customer service was excellent!
This is truly a hidden treasure. Only open a year but the converted 1905 house is charming. The owners are hands on. So, the food and service is great. The menu is a little pricy but worth the money. We had seabass and it was wonderful. The owners are also making their own wine and will be selling it only at the restaurant. They also have a wonderful patio area that will be great in summer.
Loved, Highly Recomended
We loved the wine flights, enjoyed the apps abs our gluten-sensitive party members found great options! We all can’t wait to go back again.
Outstanding food and a great location. The castle is majestic. It's hard to find a better venue for a classy or romantic dinner.
I had my birthday dinner there and it was fabulous. The owner came around to each table and told a quick story about the history of the castle and gave us both Hersheys kisses.
Beautiful interior; interesting story. Pork Roulade was scrumptious as were the scallops which was a special of the night.
Warm and inviting was the space, our host and the food!
A fabulous experience at the castle. Went for our 10 year anniversary pleasantly surprised. The steaks were phenomenal, food was amazing, great overall experience. Highly recommend.
Food delicious, hostess was wonderful and knew when to come ( letting us ladies visit). Decor so pretty. Fresh flowers a nice touch
The wine was lacking for a wine restaurant. Maybe because it doesn’t turn over and we had an old opened bottle?
The food was tasty but not a fair value at the price.
We’ll probably try back again in a year and hope they fix the wine selection and price or quality of the meals.
The ambiance would be better if the plexiglass between the booths was etched for more privacy.
Our experience was absolutely fantastic!!! I cannot wait to go back. The owners were great an so personable!!!
Excellent start to finish
So happy we chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was fantastic from beginning to end. Their chef Hannah has created a fantastic menu that is sure to please any palate. Great wine list and food was awesome. The owner, Carla, was hospitable and added a special touch by telling us the history of the castle. They are doing things right! Do not hesitate making a reservation here. You won’t be disappointed.
The experience was more than I could have asked for. The building is gorgeous. Staff was friendly welcoming while still professional. The food was superb.
We will be sure to come back and send anyone who talks to me there as well.
Beautiful restaurant and great experience between the staff, food and wine. We will definitely be back!
A lovely retired couple owns the restaurant and does their very best to make your dinner experience perfect. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an awesome dinner (food, ambiance, etc). We will be back soon!!
Friendly staff, delicious food, and a fantastic wine selection
My husband and I had a delightful Friday evening at The Wandering Vine, which is conveniently very close to our home. It was fun sampling the different wines and learning about the history of the restaurant from the current owners. Though I think the pricing is a little high, I can see coming back with my high-school friends for wine tastings and appetizers. My husband and I will likely return for a special night out.
We enjoyed a lunch of small plates! The flavors were terrific! We also enjoyed two of their wine flights and would be interested in their wine tasting events based on that. We equally appreciated the atmosphere and service. We will go back there again!
This was a belated birthday dinner. Two of our party of 4 had been there before, but
we had not.The co-owner Carla is a delight! The food, service & ambience were all
outstanding!! It was a magical night - I particularly appreciated the unhurried pace.
At no time did we feel rushed or pressured. I'll definitely go back for dinner, and would also like to try their Sunday brunch. Kudos to the staff, owners, bartender &
The atmosphere & early service was excellent! We ordered 2 premium wine flights... excellent also. Enjoyed meeting with ea of the owners. Re: food, the fall salad was generous & delicious. There was quite a wait for our entrees. When they were served, all sides/ veggies & potatoes were COLD. The steaks were slightly WARM, however neither were cooked to proper doneness as ordered. Mine was to be medium rare, but cooked medium well. My husband's was to be medium, but it was rare. Problem in the kitchen? The server never returned to check to see how our meal was, or we would have told him. When he did return, I assumed he might offer us dessert menu or acknowledge the birthday (I had indicated that on my reservation) but he did not, however we did not ask him. In defense of the server, it appeared he was the only one for the full restaurant. From a lovely start of a special birthday dinner, the food & later service was dissapointing. We may give it a try another time.
We really enjoyed our girls lunch. And the wine flights! Great service and atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
Beautiful setting, attentive staff and amazing food. Wonderful experience
Great Sunday brunch menu
Service was very attentive
We were quite pleased to begin our anniversary celebration with then!
Wait staff had a great sense of humor. really appreciated the costumes and Halloween touches for brunch. This was a great place to celebrate a special occasion -- didn't expect the anniversary gift.
Wow! Great meal with great friends. The food was great, and the service was attentive and on the mark. This place has a great wine list, beyond great. It's a wine destination with awesome food.
We got out last minute sans kids and opened up open table to see what was available. Wandering Vines popped up and I wanted to check it out. We had never been before. Beautiful setting & fantastic service! We each ordered a wine flight then shared several small plates. Everything we tried was delicious (the bacon wrapped dates were my favs!) we will definitely be back!
Excellent food and wine selections. Charming owners and staff. We recommend it highly, food is highest quality fresh and well prepared. Would definitely put it in our top 5!
Great place for our anniversary. Food, staff , atmosphere. Great job.
This place is perfect! Great wine selections, delicious food, and impeccable service. Will be going here over and over! Favorite new date spot.
