Walters Sports Bar
Walk on over to Walters and check us out!
First time hanging here. Definitely will return
Loved the chicken pot pie and great local beer selection.
Went during the Army Navy game. Service was excellent for a party of 15. Drinks were a little pricey for a sports bar. Food was excellent and reasonably priced as expected. Great location to Nats Park.
A great experience. Personnel was excellent.
The only suggestion is to have appetizers served before entrees.
Very loud but good. The hamburger for sure was delicious.
The female bartender was extremely sassy when asked questions or when we were unsatisfied with something. We will not be returning the food security and atmosphere was amazing sucks the service was poor
First time here. Food was very good, pork belly appetizer was the best! Catfish sandwich was also delicious. There was a football game on and was super loud. Service was good.
Great food after leaving the Nats game! Much better than spending a fortune eating in crowded narrow seats at the game! French fries were amazing. Definitely will be back for the salmon salad and funnel cake fries🥰!
It is nice sports bar and there is good space for many friends. The beer draf is good and delicious. Buffalo wings are delicious too! I will come there again someday!
My friend and I stopped for dinner following a Nats game. Food and service were both very good. Unfortunately, the noise in the restaurant was deafening. I understand Walters Sports Bar is just that - a sports bar. I could not carry on a conversation with my friend during dinner - the noise was way too loud!
Great place for some food and drink before a Nationals' game.
Better than average pub food menu. Lots of beer options.
My second visit. Highly recommend the catfish sandwich. Good local draft beer selection like RAR Nanticoke IPA. Great outdoor patio and service is top-notch. Also, no need to wait for the check, just ask the server and he or she will process it right at the table. Best place to hang before a Nats game.
You have to try the lamb! I had the lamb eggs Benedict for Sunday brunch and can't stop thinking about it. And this place has reasonable prices for the quality and portions...and that's hard to find in the area!!
We had a table outside that turned out to be right under a speaker playing very loud music. Conversation was difficult. They accommodated our request to be moved immediately.
Very good and relatively affordable food! Loved the pour your own beer. Service wasn’t the best but was fine, still a great experience!
My Bestfriend, boyfriend and I were just looking for a nice, chill late night place to dine. I googled restaurants nearby and Walters sports bar came up. We’ve lived and worked in the area for years but have never been to Walters sports bar. I thought it would be a nice place for food and drinks and a nice place for my boyfriend to watch all of the games considering that they have soooo many TVs around. Our service was amazing and Everette, who I believe is a police officer and security for the restaurant went above and beyond to make sure Our visit was memorable. The food and drinks were great. We ordered old bay and Buffalo wings and each of us got the streak frites and margaritas. We will definitely be returning.
Great location and excellent menu and beer selection. Try the pork bellies!
Nicole was amazing! She was so helpful and fun — we had a great time.
We made a reservation to enjoy brunch before a Nats game. We were seated on time. Our server Grant was fabulous and very attentive, even though he was handling quite a few tables from the before game rush! Spicy chicken sandwich and unlimited brunch drink special was great!!! This was a great spot for pre-gaming before a Nats game!
My only complaint is the wings! not sure if they were all the way cooked...
Took 3 managers from my company out to a game to say thank you. Went to Walter's before the game. Guys raved about the burgers and the beer selection. I had the Expo 67 and it was tender and absolutely delicious. The staff delivered on ALL levels. Many thanks for a great meal.
This experience was much much better than the first time where we could not get any any service and had to resort to self help. The service was excellent this time. The burgers, pork belly and salad were superb. The chicken wings were too smoky for one. The music was way, way, way too LOUD.
Food was very good, but waitstaff wasn’t very attentive. Took way too long to get our order placed, but the kitchen was quick and everyone really liked what they ordered!
Waitress was super rude, didn’t want to bring us drinks. Didn’t bring us water or anything even when asked repeatedly.
Early brunch on July 4th with fellow Nats fans before the game. Good and fast service. Great fun. Amazing food.
Pre Nat’s game meet up. Not enough staff — our sever was doing the best she could but had more tables than she could handle and the some so service was very poor. Could not even get forks and napkins once food was delivered.
A great hometown feel bar in the shadow of Nationals Park and Audi Field.
We were very happy to discover Walters and enjoy time with friends before a Nats game. The staff were SUPER helpful in seating our large group (with two reservations) at tables next to each other.
Great location for food and drinks before a Nationals game! Food was absolutely amazing!
Great salmon salad! Awesome atomosphere
Our waitress was so RUDE! The chicken was pink in the middle twice and my salad took 40 minutes in which I ended up cancelling since everyone at my table already ate. I just stopped and ate something somewhere else. The only positive was the manager, he was so cool and reduced our checks due to the inconveniences.
Great Nationals pre-game location.
The food was good, but server forgot multiple things, and $75 for four pub sandwiches with fries and 1 coke is a bit steep. Wouldn’t go back.
It was nice experience and I would definitely refer to anyone looking to enjoy sports and drink. The food was ok but everything else was excellent
Love the brunch deal!
Went for brunch prior to the Nationals game. Had the hanger steak and eggs. They were terrific. Reasonably priced drinks to go with. Fine service. A good time was had by all.
Atmosphere and food were great. Ideal for a pre-game sports bar. The food was as ordered and very good. The only issue with service and I attribute that to just coming out of Covid with a lot of new people on board. Very friendly though so if this is a critique it is a minor one. I will definitely be back.
We decided on dinner at this bar before the Nats game because it had several good reviews and is so close to the stadium. First off, we had a reservation but the hostess just told us we would either be shoved back in the corner or to go find a place at the bar. Secondly, we ordered the deviled eggs and Buffalo wings because they seemed to be so popular. BOTH were awful. The wings were slimey and barely cooked even though we said well done please. So I ordered a salad with ranch dressing after the awful wings, and it came out tossed in a vinaigrette... the food is terrible, but the location to the stadium is perfect, and the drinks were ok. Don’t go there hungry.
