Walter Mitty's first opened in 1982 and has been serving guests delicious American comfort food ever since. These plates are designed to be affordable and hearty since Walter Mitty's is a family restaurant first and foremost. The motto here is "Your Home Away From Home", and Walter Mitty's lives up to that with its impeccable service and fantastic comfort food dishes.Walter Mitty's menu has a little bit of everything. Starters include crab wontons, nachos grande, crab dip, homemade onion rings, buffalo wings, chicken tenderloins, crab cocktail and chicken quesadillas. Main menu items are dishes like the smoked Pacific salmon fettuccine with sun dried tomatoes as well as the steak and prawns combination platter that can be served either sautéed in a lemon garlic sauce or tempura fried. Finally, there are several delicious sandwiches like the chicken Caesar wrap and the simple turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayo and cheese.
