Located at the heart of the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct, Walsh Bay Kitchen provides the perfect pre-theatre dinner experience to compliment an evening at Sydney Theatre Company's iconic Roslyn Packer Theatre.

The restaurant showcases locally sourced produce and premium Australian meat and seafood through a light, Mediterranean-inspired Prix Fixe menu guided by the seasons. Menu price is $65 for 2-course or $78 for 3-course. The drinks menu features an all-Australian wine list as well as Champagne, cocktails, beers, ciders and a substantial non-alcoholic offering.

The restaurant is operated in partnership with the Fresh Collective, bringing their signature love of the arts, food and service from the neighbouring Theatre Bar At The End of the Wharf.
Walsh Bay Kitchen is the perfect way to round out a great night at the theatre.

Excellent place for a tranquil pre theatre meal. Food is very good. However portions are small and expensive. Would probably think twice before eating there again.

Just exceptional. The "Over the shoulder" Pinot Noir was perfect with the paté and duck. Chocolate torte was also good.

The atmosphere and service was excellent. We both ordered from the two-course pre-theatre menu and both had the steak frites. Unfortunately, the steak was very gristly, including a totally inedible lump that really should have been trimmed off in anyone's kitchen. If we go again, I will steer clear of the steak. Everything else was lovely.

This is very convenient location if you are going to Ros Packer or Wharf Theatres. Menu was interesting and the service was prompt, making it easy for us to go to the theatre on time. I had two quarrels with the food. My buratta entree was served with fine rings of a delicious pickled vegetable which looked good but were so hard to eat that I left most on the plate. My guest and I both ordered roast lamb which was served in large pieces that were tough and very hard to cut into the small pieces that were required for safe eating. This prolonged our meal and prevented conversation because we were so intent on the task of sawing through the meat with a blunt knife.

HI I personally dont like Barramundi, it tastes very muddy. There are so many other nice fish out there, I cant understand why restaurants keep on serving it as the only fish choice. I thought there wasn't enough choice on the menu, seeing that Barra was the only fish choice. Also the presentation with that bean sauce looked terrible and was tasteless. My friend said the duck was beautiful, though.

The Calamari for entree was great and so was the Duck for main and the Chocolate Torte for dessert. However, the Sirloin was not a great cut - so even though cooked well was not great to eat. The Brie for dessert was a large circle "from coles" and it was cold - not good. Would prefer a smaller slice of a good cheese at room temp. Would probably go back again because it was good value and easy before a show... but pick more carefully next time.

Had a great pre-theatre experience last night. Food is good. Mainly I wanted to mention the great service. They are very in tune with people attending the theatre and our lovely waitress asked about the timing of courses so as to make sure everything came out in time for us to go into the theatre. Very much appreciated.
