Walnut Grill - Wexford Ratings and Reviews
Three of the four of us chose one of the pick 2 options (salad or soup and main course) for $16.99 on Monday and Tuesday for dinner. They were a great deal and plenty of food. Nice choices also - steak, seafood, chicken & gnocchi. The beet salad and walnut/goat cheese salads were wonderful, very tasty. We went early on New Year's Day and it was quiet and peaceful, easy to have a conversation. Very pleasant atmosphere, and the hostess and server were very attentive and friendly.
Our first visit was during New Years Eve. We were seated in the back room and were surprised how noisy it was , considering it wasn't that big of a room. I ordered the lobster tail and crab cake. Crab cake was delicious, but the lobster tail was pretty much the worst I ever had. Extremely gummy/chewy and it was apparent that it was overcooked. I should of said something to the staff, but chose not to, because we wanted to finish our dinner and head home (we had our 7 year old daughter with us). For the price we paid for dinner ($90) and the noisy/cramped ambiance, we most likely won't return.
The food was very good. Unfortunately we were seated at a 2 top and they are very small tables, and with my wife in a cast it was difficult to maneuver. Then we asked to have our leftovers put in boxes which they did, but brought them out as we were eating dessert, and with a small table there was no room to eat them with the 2 to go containers sitting on our table. Also on the S'mores dessert - take a pass - do not order - doesn't capture the flavor of s'mores and is very messy to eat.
Walnut Grille sweet potatoes fries are the best. Thanks to Lori who always provides great service and brings a positive attitude and smile to share with her customers. It was like an early Christmas present to be able to sit at one of her tables tonight! Merry Christmas!
Everything about The Walnut Grill is amazing and I have been there many times...this time I was a little upset with the service. We had a reservation for 2 and we were celebrating an anniversary-the host sat us in the far back room where it was colder than the rest of the restaurant and also placed us back there with two other parties: one was a party of 10 and the other was a party of 6. Needless to say it was very loud, my husband and I could hardly hear each other and I was upset that we made reservations only to be placed in the back. I would have rather waited for a different seat. We will know next time.
As always it was excellent. I have grown to know everyone at Walnut Grill, and you could
not ask for nicer people. Our drinks and food were very good. It has become my favorite
place to eat. Aaron was our server, he is always so polite, friendly, attentive, and makes the
best drinks. Thank you Aaron and Walnut. Bonnie
Walnut Grill should just stop serving Sunday brunch now. It was not good even for $17.95. I don’t think the “chef” making the omeletttes had ever done them before....they were terrible, and the prime rib he was slicing was barely cooked and not appetizing at all, and I normally eat rare beef. The other options were tasteless, lukewarm, and just not enjoyable. The server was very nice and Thank God for the $5.00, 20 oz Bloody Mary. It saved the day.
We came here for our anniversary. The food was great and the drinks were good. Our server, Cathy, was great! However, I was disappointed that our appetizer, the quesadilla, came out with a hair in it. They made another but I was surprised that there was no manager visit and the appetizer wasn't taken off of our check. My barrel aged whiskey drink didn't come with the luxardo cherry as advertised - I had to ask for it. Food was very tasty!
Very disappointing visit to Walnut Grill.
No one’s meals came at the same time. Flatbread was soggy and salad components were not fresh (brown lettuce, barely pink tomatoes).
We made it clear to the server that we were there to take our time and visit. After our meals we declined dessert, but were drinking coffee, tea and water. We were immediately given our checks and never saw the server again. No offer of water or anything. The restaurant was not busy at that time either.
As usual, our drinks and meals were excellent. We love the people that work at Walnut. From the time I walk in there everyone talks to me. I love the Atmosphere. Aaron waited on us, he is so very polite and friendly, he also makes the best drinks. Thank you Walnut Grill and Aaron. Your friend, Bonnie
My dinner experience was just ok. Service was friendly, but not experienced. My pork medallions were way over seasoned and disappointing. However, my son loved the chicken dish. Overall, it wasn't expensive and everything was ok, but not looking to return for dinner. Better happy hour spot.
We went to Walnut Grill on Saturday evening. We sat outside and it was perfect, as always.
Walnut Grill has become my go to favorite. I bring my friends and they love it too. Sarah was our server on Saturday night, and she was wonderful, very sweet and attentive . Our meal was perfect, as always. Love Walnut Grill. I love Open Table, they are the best.
I was meeting a new friend and was looking for a relaxing and unrushed dining experience. Our server appreciated that and was attentive to our needs but did not disturb our conversation. The Manager offered us a special dessert on the house.
Overall It was a very pleasant evening.
I am at Walnut Grill at least once a week, sometimes twice a week. We sat outside om Saturday night, and it was beautiful. We loved our food and drinks. I really can't say enough about how much I love going to Walnut Grill. Everyone that works there is so positive and upbeat. Ross was our server and he was very nice and polite and gave us great service. Thanks again Walnut Grill.
Business meeting over breakfast. A fly hounded our table the whole breakfast and when we brought it to the waiter's attention he pretty much shrugged his shoulders and said they keep the doors open to the patio and it is what it is. Not a real acknowledgement or apology for the situation and my client was none too happy.
Also not a fan of the rock music playing at 9am. With Pandora there are so many options for restaurants today...why loud rock music?
The Staff, Manger, Cooks, Executive Chef and Owner are just awesome people. They came around and made sure we were taken care of thru out the night. They just didn't check on our table thru out the night, I noticed the mangers and owner was going around to other tables also. I think that means a lot, making sure your evening is going well, especially if you are celebrating a special occasion!
