Our signature jumbo lump crab, Old Bay remoulade
Our waiter was back from school and we had no silverware on the table or salt and pepper. My vegetables were cool not warm. Stuffed pepper Soup excellent . Fish tacos overcooked
Mother’s Day dinner with the family.
Mother’s Day Brunch menu was well conceived in this craziness. Service was a little slow because of the challenges with capacity.
Nice place for a special meal.
HORRIBLE! It took 10 minutes for the waiter to come to our table and another 10 for our drinks, and never got our pastry plate. Our soup was served with plastic spoons. Had to beg for silverware/napkins. The Mother's day menu was either a Breakfast plate or Lunch plate. After an hour of waiting for our food I complained to the manager, lo and behold we got our nasty food - pancake was hard, french toast was salty (?!), tenderloin was raw. The waiter was inattentive and just completely forgot about our whole section. Capacity was near 100% since no one could leave because no one was getting their food. Waiter seemed to only care about larger tables. Had to beg for our check and desert plate to take home. Every table around us was upset too. I just don't understand since they only took reservations, so you then you know how many people were going to be there and only had 2 options to eat. What was so difficult? Seemed to have a waiter shortage. I used to work at a restaurant on Mother's day - I get it, it gets busy but they were off in every aspect. So we were really looking forward to go out for Mother's Day since we couldn't last year due to Covid. I will NEVER go back here!! Please do yourself a favor and stay away!!!
Some of our mothers days specials were MissIng items. But The waiter got them to us quickly when we noticed .
The tenderloin was too undercooked!
There were too many people in our small room to be social distanced properly...
The service was extremely poor. A 630 reservation started off great with prompt seating at 630. Then once seated everything went downhill. We didn’t even get acknowledged by server for 20 min to put a drink/app order in. Once we ordered apps it was almost 1 hour since being seated to get the App. The meals we ordered didn’t come until almost 830 almost 2 full hours after we were seated without any kind of explanation of why food hasn’t shown. Finally once we cancelled the food and asked for a bill our food shows up.
Unfortunately it was a very busy night and the service and food reflected that. We were at the restaurant for over 2 hours, had our appetizer misplaced, our entrees were incorrect and we were not checked on after our food arrived even though all of our glasses empty. Again, it was very busy and I'm sure the staff was doing their best but this was a very disappointing experience for us especially these days where you pick and choose carefully when to eat out.
Went for Mother’s Day dinner. Party of 6. Everything was great! Service was a little rough because our poor waitress was so busy! She needed help. And they forgot my moms food which was awful. They were kind enough to take it off the check since she ate it later than the rest of us. But food was good and we would all go back.
Food was fantastic, service was pleasant. It was a nice dinner all the way around!
Worst dinner we have ever had. Four people and four different dinners and all the dinners were terrible, we couldn’t finish.
Will never go back.
Our waiter pretty much ignored us. Sfter he brought us water he never came back for ay least 20 minutes. By that time we did not order an appetizer and I had to hunt him down for a drink. He then proceeded to give me this cocky attitude. The pnly reason he got a tip was becsuse the food was good.
Fantastic food, great service. Very pleased with our experience.
The food was amazing. The restaurant was very spacious and not crowded at all. Will definitely go back.
Service was crazy slow! It took forever for someone to just greet us. I’m pretty patient at restaurants. I know how dramatic people can be when they say they’ve been sitting for a while when it’s only been 3 minutes. We literally waited probably 20 minutes plus. I’m not sure if the server was just unaware they got sat? I know how bad restaurants are struggling right now to find people to work. So I go in expecting that hey things are going to take a little longer but this was pretty extreme. When we were finally greeted we ask if we could order our food as well since we had been sitting for so long. The server said no she can only take our drinks which was odd. Once she finally returned we put everything in and when our food did come you could tell it was sitting in the window for a long time. I think it was just a crazy Saturday for them but it would have been nice if a manager or someone had touched the table. This poor server was spinning in circles with how overwhelmed she was.
We had great service and the food was perfectly cooked and hot. Happy hour is a nice bonus for drinks and appetizers, and the flash fried Brussels sprouts are amazing!
Our meal was delicious and our waitress very efficient and kind!!
Lots of stuff was unavailable and service was slow despite not a lot of people eating out. We usually enjoy it here, hopefully just a bad day.
Our waitress was Shelby and she was phenomenal. So efficient and friendly.
It took over and hr and a half to get our meal.
Max did great on the patio!
Service was excellent but the food was not nearly as good as usual and one item was not good at all.
Our waitress was outstanding and had a great personality. Fish sandwich was delicious
We celebrated our father's 93rd birthday at Walnut Grill. The parmesan crusted chicken and gnocchi was fantastic. The warm brownie with vanilla ice cream was to die for. Our server, Scott, was a joy. He seemed to always be there when something was needed, gave us good recommendations, and was super friendly. Tables were spread out and we felt the staff and management cared about following the COVID guidelines.
I ordered a steak and chicken combo. The food took forever, which usually doesn’t happen. The steak was very good but the chicken was terrible. It was burnt and very dry! I ended up telling the waitress to take it off my bill. The waitress must have had a lot of tables because it took her awhile to even get our order. Thankfully the appetizer we ordered came to our table quickly and was very good. We ordered spinach and artichoke dip for the appetizer.
We have never been here before but I’ve heard about it so we wanted to give it a try. We enjoyed it and we will come back.
Food is mediocre at best; brunch selection isn't great. Service was terrible and it wasn't even crowded.
This is my first mixed review for this restaurant. I am somewhat of a regular. I made the reservation on Open Table and was greeted by 2 hosts who told me it would be a 30 minute wait. I replied that I had a reservation and was told that there were people in front of me. I told them that I chose Walnut because I could get the reservation on open table. I then saw 3 empty tables in the bar and asked to sit there. They both said they were occupied. I asked if the people were ghosts? They didn’t laugh at my joke. I couldn’t believe they were going to turn away a regular customer with a reservation. I asked to speak to Erica and was told she was cooking in the back. Then, they miraculously came up with a table on the side patio. This was like the Seinfeld episode where he went to the car rental office and they had his reservation but no car. I guess they took too many Open Table reservations but this doesn’t seem to happen at other stores. I just recommend that you train the hosts. The rest of the night was fine and Maggie did well as our server. If Erica made my Filet, she did a fine job.
We so enjoy going to Walnut Grill! The food, service and atmosphere are the best! The crab cakes are super!!
I love their walnut crusted salmon. It never disappoints. I always order the same meal.
Our experience at Walnut Grill was great from beginning to end. Our waitress Jocelyn was fantastic, she had the best personality and was so attentive. Our food was very good, our steaks could have been a little less done, but all in all, their food was very tasty. We went to watch the hockey game which was perfect because there are TV's all over the place. We will most definitely go back.
The Pittsburgh flat bread I love there was not done very good like usual. It was burnt and hard to eat
I want to preface this by saying we've eaten here before and had a much better experience. But DEFINATELY not this time. My husband and I ordered fillets MR. Came out Sirloins well done? Our waitress never came back to check on us ... at least 5 or more minutes went by ... we had to flag down someone else. Our waitress finally came over. She said we ordered sirloin, we assured her we had not. She apologized, took our plates away, leaving our empty salad bowls, grandson's plate and glasses on table ... we pushed them to back of booth. Got another drink ... still didn't bus our table. Received our new steaks. So rare and cold inside we could only eat a couple bites on the outside and asked for boxes. A manager never came over. We went out for a quick dinner with a our 2 year old grandson ... and were extremely disappointed.
Our server neglected us for 15 minutes. Had to go to front desk to get service. Then no napkins or utensils until after food was served and only because we asked for them from across the room. I know....good help is hard to find.
We stopped in for the Veteran’s dinner on the first Tuesday of the month. It is very nice that you do that. Liam was a great server as always. Erica also made sure we were happy with our food and service. I had the petit filet. The Gorgonzola butter was sent from heaven. My compliments to your chef. Why go to Morton’s when you can get a steak like that for a very fair price? Keep up the good work!
Food and service were excellent!
Just a quick 2 hour lunch with friends!
Great for kids ! Awesome drinks for parents !!!!!!
We stopped in on President’s day for a late lunch. The walnut salmon was outstanding. Sydney was a great server and we always enjoy talking with manager Erika. She really makes you feel welcome.
It was very cool in the room, main dish was good, but the salad (chopped wedge) was a step down. The soup for $9.00 a bowl was a looser. Lobster bisque and I had to search for the one little piece of lobster. I would return again only not order the soup and a different salad. Main dish was good beef medallions and shrimp...
We went on Valentines day. Staff was inexperienced and waiter very over stressed. Service was slow do to our waiter having to room to tables in 3 different rooms. The waiter himself was very nice and try his hardest.
