   This was a 2nd visit, and we had the same experience. While the food is fine, the service is really not good. Our server was delightful, but kept on apologizing for the delay in order-taking and serving. The issue is clearly in the kitchen. Also, the 2 cocktails we ordered: a Martini and a Manhattan, seemed to have no booze in them. Anyway, it’s not the worst option in Washington, but it’s not great.

   One of the best brunches I’ve had in a while. The food was excellent and they were always filling in. The wait staff was very attentive. And friendly. This was a very reasonable price for all of the food choices available. Lobster bisque was excellent! Will definitely visit again!

   Our table of 6 had the brunch buffet. The service was good. The food however was not hot, eggs were dry and the prime rib roast was extremely rare. The dessert table was lacking variety. Mostly donuts and muffins. The muffins were hard and dry. Disappointing.

   This was the first time I’ve dined at a Walnut Grill in years. I used to frequent another location before this loc was opened. I was hesitant simply due to the last poor experiences I had at the other location. I’m happy to say that this time was much better. Upon arrival, we were greeted cordially by the hostess and seated immediately. The food was improved although still nothing over the top. I miss the salmon they had years ago. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos and they were cooked well but lacked flavor. Our table also ordered the prime rib au jus sandwich was good. What was wonderful about this experience was our waiter who was a young college student who was friendly and attentive. We didn’t have to wait long to be greeted. The waiter was patient throughout the ordering process, and checked in at the appropriate times. The atmosphere was different from the other location I used to go to. It seems more casual but that was ok by me. Overall, I was happy to be able to go back and not leave feeling disappointed. But I do wish they would bring back the salmon and elevate the food a bit.

   Everything we ordered was outstanding. Crab cakes were better than what we had in Baltimore inner restaurants.

   We had 2 dinners off the valentine menu. Started with blue crab soup and small wedge salad. Both very good. Entrees we had were phyllo salmon. Tender and amazing done medium. Other was lobster ravioli with parm crusted shrimp. Again delicious. Definitely will go back. Servers were great as well.
