Walnut Grill - Robinson
The Walnut Grill is a fresh, casually unique dining experience fit for the entire family. We offer a diverse, Chef driven menu in a comfortable and inviting environment. We have six locations in that offer the traditional dining room setting, a large, comfortable bar with multiple large, flat screen TVs and private dining facilities for your party and event needs. We are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Please take a moment to view our menu online, make a reservation, book a party or buy a gift certificate. We very much look forward to seeing and serving you in the future!
Our reservation wasn’t taken until 25 minutes after the scheduled time because they were “running behind” despite numerous open tables not being seated, and staff acknowledging that fact. Two drinks served and higher prices charged than what was published on menu and had to be corrected. Long wait times until waiter visited table. Kitchen out of a couple items but took a long period for waiter to inform us after ordering on 2 separate occasions. One order came out with incorrect side and missing a soup. Overall wait staff was very friendly and did his best. Made some adjustments to be helpful. Food was hot and fresh even though it took a long time and we did enjoy the meals. But things were a bit disorganized and staff was overwhelmed
Host staff could not help me by providing a location nor directions to restaurant. I was seated in a bar high top even though I was wearing a full leg brace. I had to rest my leg on a broken chair on the floor for the entire evening. Food was average. Service was slow to to computer system crash. Our waitress was the only nice person in the restaurant. Thank goodness they have her. Not a great first impression.
We were being served by one of the bartenders, which is fine, but our meals were served 20 minutes apart. I don’t know if it was due to it being Mother’s Day, although when we we there it was in between brunch and dinner, or if it was the distraction of making drinks and serving. Other than that the food was the same quality as usual, and the overall experience was solid.
They served a buffet for Mother’s Day. We made reservations and walked right in, no waiting, but even people who were waiting only had to wait 20-25 minutes. There were so many choices - breakfast foods, lunch / dinner foods, and several options for dessert. And they would make an omelette for no additional cost. Good value, good deal. Definitely recommend!
Went for Mother's Day brunch - Many of buffet dishes were empty & we kept having to wait for refills, including shrimp. Our waiter was not remotely attentive. We had to ask multiple times for drinks & to have dishes cleared. It was hard to say how it would be on a regular day but they were clearly understaffed on Sunday. We probably wont go back.
I had a reservation for 1215 but didn’t get seated for lunch until 1:00. What’s the point of a timed reservation if the restaurant is overbooked and you have to wait 45 minutes. I’ve heard Walnut Grille overbooks and now that I’ve experienced it myself, I will not go there again.
I love Walnut Grill. It is one of my favorite places to go with my friends. My husband has been taking to Mother's Day brunch there for the 3 years. I look forward to the food and the time spent with my kids. This year was busier than normal but I know it was in the day. The staff was stressed. Even though we had to wait longer for our table I still enjoyed my meal.
Mother's Day. Made an 11:15 reservation and was not seated until 1145. I understand they were busy but they were completely overbooked.
We have tried SO many times to give Walnut Grill the benefit of the doubt, that maybe we just caught them on an off night, or maybe they were short staffed. We’ve tried. But every time is the same. Service is painfully slow. We had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time even though there were only 3 other tables occupied at the time. The food was not right, & not surprisingly, it took forever to fix it. The whole staff just seems blissfully unaware that a sense of urgency is a job requirement at a restaurant. Even at the end of the meal, we all had to scramble to find smaller bills so that we could just leave the money & not have to wait for change. Who knows how long that would’ve taken. With so many restaurant choices in Robinson, I just can’t justify giving Walnut Grill any more chances.
Met friends for dinner. My order was messed up not once, but twice. By the time they got it right everyone else at the table was done eating!
A woman, that did not identify herself, brought out the final, correctly prepared food & laughed about “ having it right”
My server did apologize for the mistakes. (Very slow service.)
No offer of a discount on my bill was given.
We waiting over an hour for our lunch. The restaurant was less than half full. Very frustrating!
Waiter had too many tables. Food over done. One party got wrong entree.
My wife and I, along with two friends had a pleasant dining experience at this Walnut Grill. All four of us frequent this restaurant, so we are familiar with the cuisine. Three of us had salads topped with salmon. They were all tasty and the salmon was prepared as specified when ordering. I had the turkey club and thought it was tasty and plenty big (and I am a big eater). Our waiter, Mark, was attentive and very prompt with our needs. As usual, one of the best items on the menu are their sweet potato fries. Three of us ordered these fries and found them to be delicious, large cut, and plenty of fries to satisfy.
Outstanding food and great service! We have eaten here many times & it's always a consideration when we go out to eat for a special occasion. The atmosphere in the Robinson location is not as nice as the Wexford facility, but the food and service make up for it! Jason F, our most recent server, was outstanding! Personable, engaging and attentive! The food is always plentiful and delicious!
great food at a fair price.
Nato was a terrific server. Love it will return for sure!
great fish sandwich and fries with cold beer and sports bar atmosphere
Had a 9Pm rez.
Hostess was gone.
Dining room closed.
Bar area smelled like stale beer.
This is a great restaurant to have a few drinks and spend time with friends catching up. Great menu!
Staff at the restaurant said it would take an hour for the reservation to come to the restaurant? First I heard of...
Service a bit slow but maybe due to low number of servers on this night.
The food was terrible!
Absolutely excellent. Never had a bad meal here, and this was no exception.
Ordered breakfast skillet. Simply put existing components into a skillet for serving. Not cooked in it. Scrambled eggs looked like egg beaters. No curds at all. Gravy on side. No cheese on dish. All components poorly seasoned. Very bland.
Celebrated Galentine's/Valentine's at Walnut Grill. Great menu selections...super appetizers and bonus that Wednesday was half price bottle of wine day!! LOVE that they carry Narcisi Peach Wine from a local winery.
Ok don’t do a lot of online reviews, but I had to this time. First of all, the front reception desk had a group of very confused looking girls working it. They gave a lot of blank stares and didn’t seem to know what to do. They also had a large fan and some cleaning supplies stacked behind the desk, which looked very unprofessional. We were seated at the end of a banquet next to the kitchen and our table was very close to another table. The wait staff were running back and forth knocking into my husband. We did ask our very nice server if we could move which she accommodated right away. They had run out of any kind of sparkling water and their tap water tastes awful. The food was ok. The server was polite and professional and very kind. At the end of the meal I got up to go to the bathroom. That is when I noticed how TRASHED the restaurant was. There was food and trash all over the floors. The bathroom was disgusting. They had a plastic drawer type thing and a step stool under the sink area in the bathroom, and they were so dusty and dirty. What nice restaurant does this???? It completely turned me off. I will never eat there again. I shutter to think what the kitchen looks like. My husband said the men’s room was worse.
Family get together - our server appeared to forget about our table of 8 and when appearing would not make eye contact and leave before anyone could ask for anything - she did not ask us what we wanted - no one cleaned up empty app plates or took care of drink refills ... the food was lukewarm and tea was cold - not a good experience- the company was good though
Fish was still raw in the middle when served. Manager only offered a free desert instead of taking the meal off of the bill.
Usually a good spot. Sadly for them, they had a few call-offs in the kitchen, so the lunches were significantly delayed. We did not get out in under 2.5 hrs. I introduced WG to my dining partner. I don’t think he’ll be back.
Sweet and sour chicken. Brownie for desert, enough to share.
The night before Thanksgiving we did not want to cook. So Walnut Grill was a great choice. The varied menu offered plenty of options for all of us. The outdoor area (tented with heaters) afforded us a quiet and relaxing meal.
Looking for a great casual but not "chain" place in the Robinson area with business colleagues who are more like friends, decided to go back to the Walnut Grill. Not disappointed at all. While not overly crowded, we were not rushed at all and enjoyed ourselves and the various sporting events on the many tvs for a few hours. We ate outside under the cover and was a perfect night. Heaters were available but not needed. Service was excellent. All our food was excellent. Appetizers included the Pittsburgh Flatbread and the brussel sprouts. Both totally awesome and highly recommended. Neither one you will make at home.
Walnut Grille in Robinson is my go to spot at Settlers Ridge. Food is good. Service is courteous. Outdoor seating is excellent. They take reservations!
Seating was immediate, using Open Table. Server was prompt and receptive. Manager stopped and ask about our meal. It was a great Friday night dinner
Wanted to sit outside but there was a private party. So we were seated inside. We were bothered by fruit flys the whole dinner! Would've expected that if outside... but not inside. Yuck!
Go there when I can and enjoy eating there. Love their menu!
I had high hopes for this restaurant and I was pleased when we entered and it looked like the pictures. The food was delish! We enjoyed the brussel sprouts, cheese plate, tacos and burgers. The problem was the waitstaff; you could tell they really didn't want to be there. We were first seated at a table that was putting blinding sunlight on half of us, but they didn't seem to notice. They were also annoyed when we moved. We almost had to beg to get a dessert menu. Maybe it was an off Sunday night, but the service made me not want to return. The food was yummy, though.
First time at the Walnut Grill. Kayla was a terrific server. She was informative and very pleasant. Very tasty turkey burger! The beet salad was excellent. My dinner companion enjoyed her lobster bisque and salad. The two top table /booth seat combo is a bit small for two adults.
Very good food and reasonably priced. A little noisy for a Thursday night. They could use a better beer selection, but I found something drinkable. The appetizers were good and the salmon was much better than I expected, as good as I have had just about anywhere.
The service was adequate.
The food was left a lot to be desired. My grandson's steak was underdone even though he asked for medium well. It was cooked unevenly and half of it was rare.
Great restaurant. Food is great and service is too.
