Need more sustainable fish rather than Atlantic cod and Atlantic salmon . Had to settle for the flatbread because of this. (For lunch)
Hair in food.
Good food good service.
Always reliable! Very consistent in both service and quality of food. We have rarely had a bad experience here. The new desserts are really delicious!
The bartender is awesome!!! Very nice restaurant and awesome service!
We both had breakfasts which were just the right thing. Plan on going back soon...this restaurant is one of my favorites.
Always a comfort with great food, service and ambiance. One of our favorite spots.
Love the breakfast.
Had appointment at the hospital, met a friend and then proceeded to work.
Superior service. Excellent food! I met friends for lunch. Didn't feel rushed to leave our table.
I didn't have to wait at all to be seated - I had made a reservation for 2. Menu is substantial - my friend had the crabcake which she liked and I had a reuben which was OK - no dressing on it - odd. Wait staff was pleasant and efficient - could have been faster refill coffee but no complaints here. Will go again.
The walnut grill is one of my favorite restaurants and this visit didn’t disappoint. The service is always wonderful and friendly. The menu has anything you could ever want! It’s absolutely a great restaurant.
Great place, with a variety of menu items. Food is excellent!
Food in general was good. Ordered wings well done but they still came out kind of soggy. We were given a dessert menu and when we didn’t order dessert were never asked if we wanted coffee or tea. Noise level was robust
Always a good choice - menu offers something for everyone, and the servers are consistently cheerful.
Great place for dinner
Was a little humid and warm that night inside
We got the buffet and there was not a great selection. Pancakes and French toast were hard and couldn’t be cut with a knife. Chicken was very dry. The only food selection that was good was the beef. Very disappointed with a reservation of 10 @ 18.00 per person this was definitely not worth it. This also did not include drink. Won’t be back and would advise not to go.
Walnut Grill offers a consistent, dependable, quality dining experience. We enjoyed a Saturday evening dinner at a booth in the bar area so were able to take advantage of their Happy Hour menu, too. Saturday Happy Hours are so rare - and I enjoyed the delicious ahi tuna app from that menu in addition to our dinners. Our service was great. Only negative is that their credit card machine was down - which is bad for a Saturday night - but we had cash on hand. We were not made aware until after we were seated and our server came for our order, which seemed a bit late.
Excellent PIttsburgh salad with chicken added and artichoke and spinach flatbread. Will be going back soon.
I love Walnut Grill, but last 2 times we were there for lunch we waited 45 minutes for our food. we ordered frittatas and pancakes.
My toast came burnt, but only on one side as the other side wasn’t toasted. No toaster? I eat at WC at least once a week for dinner and once’s week for lunch.
Walnut Grill never disappoints! It was my first time for breakfast and it was very good and plated perfectly! My over easy eggs were cooked just right! Overall yum!
We made online reservations and drove 40 Minutes, arrived on time. Has requested outdoors, since weather was perfect. We were seated outdoors, though under roof and right next to noisy, busy waitstaff station. Since there were many outdoor tables open, we asked for different table. We were informed “ we have reservations”. However, we noticed most of those tables remained empty during our dinner. Previously, this had been a favorite restaurant. Waitstaff was very helpful and food still was very good. Not sure if will return.
We were seated promptly at either a table or booth, our choice. Wait person was polite and very attentive to our needs. Our food was served within a reasonable time and temperature was perfect. My artichoke chicken entree was very good, but I did not enjoy my choice of vegetable...brussels sprouts, which I love, were inedible and tasteless. What a disappointment! They were not roasted, but deep fried! I would go back to Walnut Grill, but I would be very careful with my veggie choices.
I've been to the restaurant a few times over the summer. Food and service is great, but because the patio is open and people come in and out of the door, this causes the attraction of flies. Makes it a little annoying to have to shoo away flies from hovering over your food.
Excellent service and the food was amazing! Walnut Grill never disappoints, but I was particularly impressed on this visit. Our waitress was fantastic, wish I remembered her name.
Easy parking, indoor/outdoor option, good food, quite reasonable, polite service.
Food was just ok.....and they were out of two things on the menu.
Ordered the wings off the happy hr menu just like the frozen ones in the grocery store. Idk would save the money so may other places to go for better happy hour.
my wife and I always enjoy Walnut Grill, especially on our birthdays.....they are the best...
We met a friend for Sunday brunch and had not been to the Walnut Grill before.
I felt the offerings for the brunch were rather meager for the cost. My husband thought the thick bacon was the best thing. It’s not that the food was terrible, it wasn’t....it was just OK. I was expecting a much better offering for the price.
I would not recommend Sunday brunch.
The only real complaint I have is about our service. Restaurant wasn’t very busy, but it still took a very long time to get our food and check.
We were very disappointed in the filet and strip steak this time. Usually we are very satisfied but this was below par. Our server was not up to par either. Overall it wasn’t the best trip we have made to WG but I don’t think it will stop us from coming back
our party thoroughly enjoyed our meals..some of the diners took advantage of You Pick Two option which was very nice..food was fresh and satisfying..waiter was polite and friendly..service was good..refills of drinks were good..have dined here before and will definitely return
My friend and I ate outside so the experience was very nice. However, walking into the restaurant, there is a strong "frat house" basement/old smelly bar odor that really detracts from the ambiance of the restaurant. Also, the decor didn't seem to be updated and it was very dark inside with little natural light. If we weren't eating outside, I'd probably have suggested that we leave. Dining outside was great. Our food was good and our server was very friendly & attentive. Before leaving, I used the ladies room, which was not a good experience. I thought I was walking into the bathroom at a dive bar. If Walnut Grille wants to be the moderately upscale restaurant it advertises itself to be, I would suggest a thorough scrubbing down of the bar area to address the odor. And, the bathrooms should be gutted and remodeled. If the old adage is true that you can judge the cleanliness of a restaurant based upon the condition of the bathrooms, - Walnut Grille is in trouble. They have a great menu and a good staff, so these updates are worth the time and effort.
I really can't say enough about the Walnut Grill, we love going there for the food and the service which is excellent! I was really surprised to get a reservation at the last minute on Saturday on line. I would have thought it would have been crowded but it wasn't. I particularly love the grilled chicken dinner...it's great!!!
Hearty breakfast, lots of options to please everyone. Great service from Cass!
Great dinner and drink selections. Perfect place for a relaxed dining experience.
Went for father's day brunch. there was no type of waffles, pancakes (none left) of the pancakes, no bacon. no type of biscuit's or bread. Not worth $28 per person
Our first Fathers Day Brunch and we really enjoyed ourselves and the food was great
Food quality had degraded. We were served browning avocados and really hard bread that can cut your gums. The dishes were ok, not a great as I last recalled.
I was celebrating my birthday with family. The reservation was super easy to make. Our waiter was great and the food was so good. I ordered the Ceasar Parm' salad and the Parm' Chicken & Gnocchi. Everyone in our party of 6 loved their food as well. It was my first time there and I'll definitely go back. $5 mules on Tuesdays, btw. We sat in the back of the restaurant and the noise level was perfect.
Very strange, we've been to walnut grill lots of times over the years. Brunch wasn't how I remember. The fruit and the salad both looked old. This is our favorite restaurant. I hope things go back to normal.
