Great food, excellent service
Wonderful Mother’s Day brunch- plenty of food and leftovers. Efficient friendly service.
Friendly responsive service. Seems food portions were slightly less than I recall from last year. But still very good.
Best place for girls night out!!!
I will have to return just to get the “harvest bowl” again. It was so delicious.
Good Service - kept checking if everything OK, good food, able to sit outside,
Exceptional service & cocktails
All of Salmon was not cooked to well done request.
Always a nice place to eat as a couple or with friends. This was our first time eating inside a restaurant since CoVid and it was a nice experience.
They did not honor our reservation that we made on open table and turned us away.
Fantastic service and so very accommodating to our 4 year old! The food was excellent! Definitely going back again and again!
Sat outside on the patio and had a wonderful time. Food was good and service was amazing as usual.
We ordered the filet in medium rare and it came medium and was hard to chew....also the meatball pasta was delicious. This has always been a favorite restaurant and I would like to support them.
Good service, good location, but only “OK” food and pricy for quality.
The entire experience was horrible. The food was disgusting.
Great food and even better service. We love The Walnut Grill.
The server never checked on our table at all to see if everything was good and to see if we needed anything else. The server stopped at the table next to us three times while we were there. I finished a beer 20 minutes before I was done with my meal and she never came back to ask if I wanted a refill until right before the check. We've had this issue four times in a row while eating there. The food is great, but the service is average at best. The first three times it was very slow. This most recent was non-existent. I’m starting to think that we should just do take out only
We had poor service although it wasn't busy at all. The food order was not correct when it came.
I had the Eggs Benedict and my friend had the fish tacos. Everything was delicious and since we were both famished our plates were clean!!!
Will be going back soon.
We had brunch on Saturday morning. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Great Service!
Excellent server! Attentive but not bothersome.... food was fabulous! My Pittsburgh steak salad was huge and not lacking anything!
This was my first time dining at Walnut Grill in Fox Chapel. The food was great. Especially the Crab Cakes, Stuffed Banana Peppers (appetizer) and Spinach Artichike Dip appetizer. The Ambiance was great and we were seated a good distance away from other diners, which was perfect for COVID social distancing. Our server was also very friendly and attentive to our needs. I will definitely eat there again. The only negatives from my visit were - they were out of the Pretzel Bites appetizer (which was one of the items we were most wanting to try) and my daughter ordered a Caesar Salad with her meal and it was pretty bad. The lettuce was all very soft/wilted - and had a dirty/gritty taste to it. Also - there was hardly any dressing on the salad at all and the croutons were all burnt. Surprised they even served it. It was not eaten. - We did not send it back because everything else was so good and my daughter had plenty of food to eat. Overall a great experience - except for the salad.
Service was excellent, the breakfast food was ok. Eggs were a bit overcooked but it was a busy day. I would go back.
Went for brunch. Never disappoints and our waitress was lovely.
Dirty taps. Salmon was raw.
Poor menu selection. Caesar salad was old and lacked dressing. California turkey wrap was dry and needed more dressing. Service was okay.
The food was excellent, and we had our own private booth, which made us feel very safe, as we were socially distanced. The service was great. Very nice dinner for my hubby’s birthday.
Great food and staff.
Great food and AMAZING service as always!!! So happy we had a chance to get back in there.
Dinner We often dine here. We were excited to be able to go inside and sit down to enjoy a meal. Take out got real old.
This was a great experience. The patio is open, but heated so it felt safe and was plenty warm enough. The service was great, food delicious and great specials.
We were just glad to be able to go out for our Thanksgiving meal, so weren't too picky about the venue! The service was fine and there were only a few tables with patrons. Most of the activity we saw was for take-out... that was very busy. The meal was just "okay." We had the lobster bisque which was pretty good but very salty. The rest was the usual Thanksgiving fare of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and green beans. The stuffing was a heavy lump. I asked for a little extra gravy because there wasn't much on the potatoes and turkey but was told it would cost us $2 extra which I thought was pretty high for what ended up to be two little condiment sized cups of it. What the dinner lacked in taste, however, it made up for in quantity. We took about half of it home as well as the included desserts and had it again the next night. Overall, a good value but not quite the quality we had hoped for in a special holiday meal. I've been to Walnut Grill when we ordered from the regular menu several times and thought it was good, so I'd try going there again.
We had a great meal an our server was really great.
The food was good and I am very appreciative that you were open on Thanksgiving day. My only issue was that the desserts were freezing cold. No one wants to eat brownies or apple pie that is freezing cold.
Thank you again for being open!
The thanksgiving dinner was excellent, so much so we plan to go every year.
That's great to hear!! Thank you so much for choosing to spend your Thanksgiving with us. We will be happy to welcome you back anytime. Feel free to ask for me, my name is Scott Lang and I am the General Manager. Thank you for the 5 star review!!
Great place, always clean, always great food. The hostess is warm and welcoming. The waiter was exceptional!!! And we can’t thank you enough for the Veterans Day promotion. We’ve been there a couple of times now and will definitely!! Be back.
Lunch prices are much higher than they used to be.
Party of 10 including 4 children server was attentive and service was exceptional
As usual the Walnut Grill didn't disappoint. the food and service were wonderful the Social Distancing tents were warm and well lit but damper on the ambience not a big deal in these times. I watched the staff doing their cleaning protocol between patrons and they have the system down. All in all we felt very safe.
