Walnut Grill - Bridgeville
Our waitress was very attentive but she had far too many tables to handle. Added to that the kitchen was very slow. But we enjoyed it nonetheless and plan to return,
The restaurant smells dirty and looks dirty. The prices are ridiculous for the quality of food and experience. Over $7 for a kids meal?! Our server was excellent. Very friendly and attentive. But I could get past the fruit flies all over the window and around us. The decor is dated and ugly. Just not a nice experience.
Awesome food and service from Shannon. Drinks and food came out quickly.
We sat outside for lunch. My friend couldn’t get through that gate who was using a cane. The hostess was nice but busy talking for we needed the key to unlock the gate and the waitress didn’t have a key. The waitress was nice but a bit slow. Both friends had salads and a small but good appetizer sized crab cake for $15 each. The Cobb salad $13.50 was very chopped up, cubed chicken not strips, crumbled bacon that was sitting from breakfast time, lots of good crumbled blue cheese, minimal tomatoes and red onion, overly ripe slices of avocado. The ranch dressing was very thin. It seemed as if the ingredients had been sitting on the counter for awhile, not crisp but mushy.
My husband, myself and a friend dinned on Saturday night and the service was excellent. We had a lovely lady by the name of Diane serve us and she was very attentive and even comped us a walnut dessert as my spicy chicken was overcooked it was burnt around the edges. My friends however, who ordered the same thing was perfect. I recommended this to her as I order it often. I told Diane the server, it was alright and I did eat most of it, not to worry about it. But she brought us your wonderful walnut ball, which is my favorite, and as I stated above she comped it. That was above and beyond what we expected. We will be back and we will ask for Diane.
Not bad but not great. Average food just a little pricier.
We had a pleasent visit at Walnut Grill in Bridgeville, PA today. Our waiter was a happy, cheerful and very "menu knowledgeable" individual. She answered all our questions with a smile.
M husband and I took our out of town company to Walnut Grill in Bridgeville this past Sunday and we were very disappointed. We were there several years ago and it was such a nice restaurant! Now it seems to be a casual/sports bar atmosphere. What a shame!
Walnut Grill website says Happy Hour is every day, and when I said to our server I wanted the happy hour prices, she informed me that is only in the bar area. The dining room was so deserted that I couldn't believe they wouldn't do happy hour there as well. My husband and I ordered the shaved prime rib sandwiches and the beef was like wood. It was so dry! Our guests said their meals were okay, but not worth the prices.
When our guests left yesterday, i old my husband that we will not go to Walnut Grill again. What a disappointing and embarrassing dining experience. Wish we had not taken out guests there. Won't do that ever again.
It was great till the live music started in the bar area, then it was very hard to talk / hear.
We got together with friends from out of state that we had not seen in years. The restaurant was not busy, so we were at the table over 3 hours. Our waitstaff was very attentive, the food was great. Will definitely return.
Diane was an excellent waitress. She was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. From salad to wrap to entree, we all enjoyed our dinner. The restaurant was very clean and the bar is well separated from the dining areas so we could talk easily. We will definitely be back!
Always fantastic. Walnut grill bridgeville is my favorite location!!
Great dinner tonight! Thank you Maria for making our evening so enjoyable. Food and service were fantastic!
The Walnut Grill was an excellent place for our dinner group to dine. All six of us enjoyed our food and the service was very good. It wasn't too noisy for us to have conversation and that can be a problem at some restaurants. It was the third time we have taken a dinner group (different people) to this restaurant and have enjoyed it each time.
Thank you for the 5 star review! We appreciate your support and look forward to your next visit!
The waitress was barely around. The salad I got was supposed to have "balsamic reduction" and they reduced it to the point where it was only oil. The live band tbey had was pretty awful but mainly just way too loud. Such a negative experience compared to the ones I've had in the past.

With a few friends, they arrived at apx quarter till the hour, we had a reservation....I came in at 10 after the hour...my drink of choice was waiting - hostess had filled soft drink order....the booth was extremely cold and my one friend was getting more and more miserable
when we had sat there for 1 hour and 20 minutes without ever seeing a wait person, I went to get a sweatshirt for myself and for my friend out of my car...I asked the hostess at the front to please see about getting us moved to another booth where we would have a server, and also to address the temperature.....ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES after being seated
The manager (??) did move us and immediately put in all our orders....all food arrived within a 5 minute period - appetitzer, salads and entrees.....even though we specifically asked to have it staggered so we could enjoy each course
The manager did comp us, but the whole experience service and ambiance wise was horrible

Party of 4. We enjoyed our meal on the deck. Food delicious and great service. Walnut salad with salmon was outstanding.
Our experience from begining to end was amazing. Host was so kind. Server was so friendly. Food was amazing. We will be back
Staff was not at its best the night we went. Heard several waitresses arguing about table assignments and our waitress was working the outside bar and our table so our service was not great at all. She made one of the alcoholic drinks wrong and forgot to ask about the side for one of the meals and walked by our table several times and looked at my empty glass and didn't offer a refill. The stuffed rigatoni looked like the same stuff I could have got from the freezer at local grocery store and not something that should have been almost $20.
I think we were there at an 'Off' night for the restaurant in terms of the staff but I expected a lot more out of the food quality.
Food is very mediocre, could tell husband’s mixed grill was cooked on a dirty grill. He eats everything but would not take more than a few bites of his meal. Restaurant has a bad smell and we were swatting fruit flies the whole time we were sitting down. Won’t return.

It was really cold inside though. But the food and service was great.
Bartender was not friendly and not accommodating at all..bar was not busy
Service was very very slow
a few people walked out because they were not waited on
Good variety on the menu. Lots of drink specials. Happy Hour menu is very good value.
We sat in the bar area! great atmosphere and music! great food! great service! the happy hour prices are awesome!! would definitely recommend
Amazing as usual. Great staff. Comfortable. Affordable. Just great.
We ate a bit late - reservation was for 8:00 pm do the dining room was closed. I understand trying to have less staff or whatever the reason, not everyone enjoys eating in a bar with all of the attendant noise. That’s my reason for lower than normal scores.
We were seated promptly in the dinning room. The room was so cold and the cold air was blowing on us at the table. We asked to adjust the temp which we were told they had shut it off, yet the air was blowing and you could still hear the force of it as it was blowing. Then when we complained again this time to the hostess about moving from the dinning room into the bar area. I had looked myself on the way to the hostess stand there was a booth available in the bar area. Then the manager came over and told us the air was shut off, in the moments as she was walking toward the table the air then shut off. We suspect that the air was not turned off until we complained the second time. We were moved into the bar area. We did enjoy our food and beverage there. The waitress and hostess were very nice and the food was good. The management and the ambiance is what we felt was lacking. I am usually very comfortable in a cooler setting but the air was so cold that I felt like my arms were frozen. We were appreciative of the ability to move and would suggest the bar area if the dinning room is cold.
First of all, the server was not knowledgeable about the coupon that each couple had ($10 off $30; July 4-7). My wife called earlier in the day and asked if we could use both, provided we had two coupons/two checks/two couples. The young fellow who answered the phone didn't even know about the email offer. He had to ask someone about it and said it would be OK. BUT, at the table, the server told us it was only one offer/table -- it did not state that info on the ecoupon (she sort of argued with us and I told her to check with her supervisor). The staff who work there should be more knowledgeable. Also, the AC was on far too cold and it was blowing on our table, cooling off the food (we did not complain -- we just dealt with it). The food is always delicious; but, once, again, the servers need to be better informed and trained. One other item ... for some reason, we did not get any loyalty points for our dinner (not eligible -- WHY!).
We were disappointed this time. The portions for an up charge of sautéd mushrooms was ridiculous given there were 7 mushrooms, double order of fries equaled maybe 1 order. We had to ask for additional sour cream, mayo not sure if this is the new walnut grill or just that night.
Always a wonderful dining experience. Staff is always delightful. Food good too !
Had one of our first drinks come with a hair in it. While we should have left we stayed on our second round had to wait 20 minutes for a drink. I spoke to a manager who said she was going to take off the drink but then our server did not and she also did not enter my information for reward points. Very disappointing.
Things were good as usual.
We had a party of 6 friends from college. We chose to sit outside on the patio. It was very comfortable and quiet. The food and drinks were good. The only slight issue was that our water glasses could have been filled more often. Would definitely recommend!
It was a beautiful evening and we had a great dinner outside on the patio!
Perfect spot for my birthday meal....walnut grill treats you right..great choices for a flight of beer
My husband decided he wanted to go to Walnut Grill for his Father's Day dinner since it's one of our favorite places to eat. This wasn't one of our best experiences, though. We had made reservations for 6 people and they seated us at a table that only had 4 sets of silverware. We asked for 2 more sets when we ordered the appetizers but ended up having to forage for 2 more sets since we still hadn't gotten them when the appetizers were brought out.
One member of our party asked for his tacos without tomatoes because he has problems with acidic foods but they came with tomatoes and he had to send them back. Another party member got entirely the wrong wrap and side, not what he had ordered at all, and had to wait for it to be corrected. Normally we have a much better experience here. And they weren't even that busy. And no offer made to compensate for our poor experience. They could have at least given us a coupon for a free appetizer on the next visit.
Brunch was good but at noon you need to have things filled. Always was at the end of salsa and sauces.
Horrible experience!! The employees all stood outside smoking. The restaurant was FREEZING cold with air blowing down which made the food like ice within seconds! The sausage couldn’t be cut with even a knife. AND it made my entire family ill. So awful. Over $80 for two adults and a 5 year old. Ugh. Never again.
I was disappointed with the food. I had a party of 8. 4 of us had the mixed grill. For the amount of money charged for that it was a waste. Filet migon was pathetic. It was the size and taste of a McDonalds hamburger. The food portions were small. I found that those at our table that got a cheaper $ 16.00 meal had better portions and food. Extremely disappointed and will not come back. I spent to much money on 8 with no value.
Walnut Grill is always a great dining experience. Service is good, food is good, price is right.
