Walnut Grill - Bridgeville
Service was very very slow
a few people walked out because they were not waited on
Good variety on the menu. Lots of drink specials. Happy Hour menu is very good value.
We sat in the bar area! great atmosphere and music! great food! great service! the happy hour prices are awesome!! would definitely recommend
Amazing as usual. Great staff. Comfortable. Affordable. Just great.
We ate a bit late - reservation was for 8:00 pm do the dining room was closed. I understand trying to have less staff or whatever the reason, not everyone enjoys eating in a bar with all of the attendant noise. That’s my reason for lower than normal scores.
We were seated promptly in the dinning room. The room was so cold and the cold air was blowing on us at the table. We asked to adjust the temp which we were told they had shut it off, yet the air was blowing and you could still hear the force of it as it was blowing. Then when we complained again this time to the hostess about moving from the dinning room into the bar area. I had looked myself on the way to the hostess stand there was a booth available in the bar area. Then the manager came over and told us the air was shut off, in the moments as she was walking toward the table the air then shut off. We suspect that the air was not turned off until we complained the second time. We were moved into the bar area. We did enjoy our food and beverage there. The waitress and hostess were very nice and the food was good. The management and the ambiance is what we felt was lacking. I am usually very comfortable in a cooler setting but the air was so cold that I felt like my arms were frozen. We were appreciative of the ability to move and would suggest the bar area if the dinning room is cold.
First of all, the server was not knowledgeable about the coupon that each couple had ($10 off $30; July 4-7). My wife called earlier in the day and asked if we could use both, provided we had two coupons/two checks/two couples. The young fellow who answered the phone didn't even know about the email offer. He had to ask someone about it and said it would be OK. BUT, at the table, the server told us it was only one offer/table -- it did not state that info on the ecoupon (she sort of argued with us and I told her to check with her supervisor). The staff who work there should be more knowledgeable. Also, the AC was on far too cold and it was blowing on our table, cooling off the food (we did not complain -- we just dealt with it). The food is always delicious; but, once, again, the servers need to be better informed and trained. One other item ... for some reason, we did not get any loyalty points for our dinner (not eligible -- WHY!).
We were disappointed this time. The portions for an up charge of sautéd mushrooms was ridiculous given there were 7 mushrooms, double order of fries equaled maybe 1 order. We had to ask for additional sour cream, mayo not sure if this is the new walnut grill or just that night.
Always a wonderful dining experience. Staff is always delightful. Food good too !
Had one of our first drinks come with a hair in it. While we should have left we stayed on our second round had to wait 20 minutes for a drink. I spoke to a manager who said she was going to take off the drink but then our server did not and she also did not enter my information for reward points. Very disappointing.
Things were good as usual.
We had a party of 6 friends from college. We chose to sit outside on the patio. It was very comfortable and quiet. The food and drinks were good. The only slight issue was that our water glasses could have been filled more often. Would definitely recommend!
It was a beautiful evening and we had a great dinner outside on the patio!
Perfect spot for my birthday meal....walnut grill treats you right..great choices for a flight of beer
My husband decided he wanted to go to Walnut Grill for his Father's Day dinner since it's one of our favorite places to eat. This wasn't one of our best experiences, though. We had made reservations for 6 people and they seated us at a table that only had 4 sets of silverware. We asked for 2 more sets when we ordered the appetizers but ended up having to forage for 2 more sets since we still hadn't gotten them when the appetizers were brought out.
One member of our party asked for his tacos without tomatoes because he has problems with acidic foods but they came with tomatoes and he had to send them back. Another party member got entirely the wrong wrap and side, not what he had ordered at all, and had to wait for it to be corrected. Normally we have a much better experience here. And they weren't even that busy. And no offer made to compensate for our poor experience. They could have at least given us a coupon for a free appetizer on the next visit.
Brunch was good but at noon you need to have things filled. Always was at the end of salsa and sauces.
Horrible experience!! The employees all stood outside smoking. The restaurant was FREEZING cold with air blowing down which made the food like ice within seconds! The sausage couldn’t be cut with even a knife. AND it made my entire family ill. So awful. Over $80 for two adults and a 5 year old. Ugh. Never again.
I was disappointed with the food. I had a party of 8. 4 of us had the mixed grill. For the amount of money charged for that it was a waste. Filet migon was pathetic. It was the size and taste of a McDonalds hamburger. The food portions were small. I found that those at our table that got a cheaper $ 16.00 meal had better portions and food. Extremely disappointed and will not come back. I spent to much money on 8 with no value.
Walnut Grill is always a great dining experience. Service is good, food is good, price is right.
Had excellent fried zucchini as an appetizer. Bread was very good and the hummus with cilantro was surprising good. Wife had a shrimp and crab cake in a cream sauce with rigatoni and was excellent. I had wild mushroom ravioli with chicken and it was also excellent. The only downside was the restaurant was colder than I like with cold air blowing on my back.
We wanted to sit outside and the hosts were very nice and explained it may take longer. We didn’t mind and it actually only took 10 minutes. Appreciated the help and willingness to make the uninformed experience fun.
Excellent food filet mignon cooked perfectly didn't give you very many vegetables but I ordered another really really good food.
DJ was our server excellent attentive quick on the ball friendly
Waited 25 minutes before server came to our table. Food slow to come out. Brought appetizers with meal, said it was a computer issue. Food was nothing spectacular. Overall was not very pleased with experience. Several other tables around me felt the same way
Once our waitress took our order it went downhill from there. We waited for our salads to the point we had to find another waiter to get our waitress to find out where they were. When the food finally arrived we needed our drinks refilled of which the waitress never came by to check on us.I needed parmesan cheese for my entree. I was halfway through my dinner before it arrived. She never checked on us to see if we needed anything at all. It was the worst service we had ever had anywhere. Following dessert we waited and waited for our check. When she finally brought it she was then that she asked if we needed anything. We wanted to tell the manager but never saw one and when we tried to raise another waiter to try to get someone to complain to we couldn’t raise anyone’s attention. The table next to us was also complaining about the poor service. We were so frustrated when we left we vowed to never go there ever again even though it’s close to our home. Very, very disappointed !
Food was excellent and the server was terrific!
Love the larger parking lot at this location.
They stuffed people in for mother's day, had a limited menu but no specials for food (they did for drinks), but the worst part was, servers were wandering around trying to deliver food to tables that didn't order it. So they would try to out it down in front of you, but when you told them you didn't order a salad, they'd go table to table, interrupting conversations, trying to figure who did. They happened repeatedly and constantly. The food we DID order was bland and overpriced.
Love sitting in the bar area. I ordered the Reuben where ch I have had before. The bread was soggy and the French fries were stale. Some of them were hard to chew, almost as if they had been previously cooked then reheated. Disappointing meal. Have had much better meals in the past.
Great time at the bar area
We had a horrible experience. The seating area was filthy. We were told that the buffet was our only option. It was nearly empty. When I asked if it would be restocked, I was told that it was possible to order from the menu (though our server had told us no). Some of us ordered, but our food was not delivered properly. It came in backwards stages. We weren’t offered so much as an apology or a discount. The server was miserable and inadequate. The room was noisy and chaotic. Atria’s is a much better choice for Easter.
Even though we arrived at 3pm the buffet was either not available or dried up and old.
If you offer a buffet until 4pm you should have the same food offered at 12noon at 3p.
items should be refreshed and added. The desserts were from a box not the style of the restaurant.
We were very disappointed and will probably not do the buffet in the future.
My daughter in law ordered steak - it came wrong - and was sent back (as it was raw).
When they brought it back it was the same meat that she sent - cut in pieces. I assume that this is not proper to put something back on the grill that she potentially contaminated. We have come there several times with excellent service - not sure what happened.
Our server was amazing. Only issue with service is the hostess is NEVER at the hostess stand. This has happened to us a few times, so it can't just be one person. This time we waited at least 5 min until someone came to the stand to acknowledge us.
We were there 2 Friday’s in a row for their Lent Fish Fry. We are really fussy about fried fish and just loved our $10.99 meal. Highly recommend it. And during Happy Hour, they have $5 appetizers. Well worth the stop.
Mia was very friendly and very efficient.
Your fish sandwiches are the BEST!!!
The food took about an hour and it didn’t seem too busy. I’m not sure what was going on kitchen but they were slow. Then some of the food wasn’t hot.
Ive always enjoyed their salads. On this occasion, the Cobb Salad was clearly sub par. Not allot of greens was the biggest complaint. Plenty of garnishes (egg, bacon and Blue Cheese). But where is the lettuce?
Food was very good. Service was good but could have been a little more attentive . They ran out of zucchini which delayed our appetizer. The chicken dishes were excellent. Overall a good experience and we will go back.
Everything was fine, except for the following: The person who 'cleared' our table needs a little training. The person should NOT be scraping the left-over food scraps onto a plate at the table. Should have taken away all plates, implements, glasses, etc. to a separate place to do this. Not so nice a way to end our evening there.
The food was delicious. We will go back again and recommend this restaurant.
Our server was super forgetful we had to ask her for things multiple times before receiving them. My friend ordered the pick 3 meats, was given the wrong ones, then found a piece of metal in one of her meats. The manager apologized and offered desserts for the table. We each picked one and he only comped one dessert even though he literally said desserts for the table. We won’t be back.
My experience at Walnut Grill was not a good one. First, they seated us in the wrong section of the restaurant. We were seated in the Lounge. We should've been seated in the Dining Room. Secondly, we were not given a Valentine's Day menu. We were given only the main menu. Had we seen the Valentine's Day menu, we may have ordered from it. Next, we were not given bread either before or during our meals. We both ordered pasta dishes. I understand no sides were part of the meal, but bread is, correct? Next, they would only accept 80% of a gift card I had given for payment. Not a problem, but just capped off our dinner experience. This was my Valentine's Day gift to my girlfriend. She has never eaten at Walnut Grill. I felt a bit embarrassed by the whole experience. I have eaten here several times. Not sure I will come back. Thank you.
