Walnut Grill - Bridgeville
Waited 25 minutes before server came to our table. Food slow to come out. Brought appetizers with meal, said it was a computer issue. Food was nothing spectacular. Overall was not very pleased with experience. Several other tables around me felt the same way
Once our waitress took our order it went downhill from there. We waited for our salads to the point we had to find another waiter to get our waitress to find out where they were. When the food finally arrived we needed our drinks refilled of which the waitress never came by to check on us.I needed parmesan cheese for my entree. I was halfway through my dinner before it arrived. She never checked on us to see if we needed anything at all. It was the worst service we had ever had anywhere. Following dessert we waited and waited for our check. When she finally brought it she was then that she asked if we needed anything. We wanted to tell the manager but never saw one and when we tried to raise another waiter to try to get someone to complain to we couldn’t raise anyone’s attention. The table next to us was also complaining about the poor service. We were so frustrated when we left we vowed to never go there ever again even though it’s close to our home. Very, very disappointed !
Food was excellent and the server was terrific!
Love the larger parking lot at this location.
They stuffed people in for mother's day, had a limited menu but no specials for food (they did for drinks), but the worst part was, servers were wandering around trying to deliver food to tables that didn't order it. So they would try to out it down in front of you, but when you told them you didn't order a salad, they'd go table to table, interrupting conversations, trying to figure who did. They happened repeatedly and constantly. The food we DID order was bland and overpriced.
Love sitting in the bar area. I ordered the Reuben where ch I have had before. The bread was soggy and the French fries were stale. Some of them were hard to chew, almost as if they had been previously cooked then reheated. Disappointing meal. Have had much better meals in the past.
Great time at the bar area
We had a horrible experience. The seating area was filthy. We were told that the buffet was our only option. It was nearly empty. When I asked if it would be restocked, I was told that it was possible to order from the menu (though our server had told us no). Some of us ordered, but our food was not delivered properly. It came in backwards stages. We weren’t offered so much as an apology or a discount. The server was miserable and inadequate. The room was noisy and chaotic. Atria’s is a much better choice for Easter.
Even though we arrived at 3pm the buffet was either not available or dried up and old.
If you offer a buffet until 4pm you should have the same food offered at 12noon at 3p.
items should be refreshed and added. The desserts were from a box not the style of the restaurant.
We were very disappointed and will probably not do the buffet in the future.
My daughter in law ordered steak - it came wrong - and was sent back (as it was raw).
When they brought it back it was the same meat that she sent - cut in pieces. I assume that this is not proper to put something back on the grill that she potentially contaminated. We have come there several times with excellent service - not sure what happened.
Our server was amazing. Only issue with service is the hostess is NEVER at the hostess stand. This has happened to us a few times, so it can't just be one person. This time we waited at least 5 min until someone came to the stand to acknowledge us.
We were there 2 Friday’s in a row for their Lent Fish Fry. We are really fussy about fried fish and just loved our $10.99 meal. Highly recommend it. And during Happy Hour, they have $5 appetizers. Well worth the stop.
Mia was very friendly and very efficient.
Your fish sandwiches are the BEST!!!
The food took about an hour and it didn’t seem too busy. I’m not sure what was going on kitchen but they were slow. Then some of the food wasn’t hot.
Ive always enjoyed their salads. On this occasion, the Cobb Salad was clearly sub par. Not allot of greens was the biggest complaint. Plenty of garnishes (egg, bacon and Blue Cheese). But where is the lettuce?
Food was very good. Service was good but could have been a little more attentive . They ran out of zucchini which delayed our appetizer. The chicken dishes were excellent. Overall a good experience and we will go back.
Everything was fine, except for the following: The person who 'cleared' our table needs a little training. The person should NOT be scraping the left-over food scraps onto a plate at the table. Should have taken away all plates, implements, glasses, etc. to a separate place to do this. Not so nice a way to end our evening there.
The food was delicious. We will go back again and recommend this restaurant.
Our server was super forgetful we had to ask her for things multiple times before receiving them. My friend ordered the pick 3 meats, was given the wrong ones, then found a piece of metal in one of her meats. The manager apologized and offered desserts for the table. We each picked one and he only comped one dessert even though he literally said desserts for the table. We won’t be back.
My experience at Walnut Grill was not a good one. First, they seated us in the wrong section of the restaurant. We were seated in the Lounge. We should've been seated in the Dining Room. Secondly, we were not given a Valentine's Day menu. We were given only the main menu. Had we seen the Valentine's Day menu, we may have ordered from it. Next, we were not given bread either before or during our meals. We both ordered pasta dishes. I understand no sides were part of the meal, but bread is, correct? Next, they would only accept 80% of a gift card I had given for payment. Not a problem, but just capped off our dinner experience. This was my Valentine's Day gift to my girlfriend. She has never eaten at Walnut Grill. I felt a bit embarrassed by the whole experience. I have eaten here several times. Not sure I will come back. Thank you.
Took my girlfriend for our anniversary. Food was great and so was the service. I am looking forward to an occasion that brings us back
We have not been here for about a year now I remember why. First of all, I made reservations a week prior and they seated us in the bar area. Ok, we did not complain but it was noisy. It took a least 7 minutes until we finally asked for a drink order. We also ordered our food at this time for fear of waiting forever for our waitress to reappear. Our food came before we finally got our drinks so you can imagine how long that took. We received our entree before our salad. ( What a surprise!) Our waitress then disappeared until it was time for our check. I would have liked another beer but I did not want to wait a half hour for it. We have also had bad experiences at their other locations. These are just badly run restaurants. Trust me it takes a lot for me to complain. This is just a word to the wise.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Quite busy, but the chocolate covered strawberries were a nice touch!
Valentine’s Day dinner.
Food was really good, service was a little slow but that was probably because of the holiday rush.
The food was beautifully plated and very good. We had the Salmon, the NY strip, the Flounder and the crab cakes. It was all excellent. The wait time was long. The server keep apologizing. Overall though, a pleasant experience.
Food is continuously good. Service is prompt and pleasant. Always a good place to go.
I got the Pick a Pair, which I have gotten at this location before and loved, but this time it was really just a bad experience food-wise overall for both myself and my boyfriend. For the Pick a Pair, I got the filet mignon (for a slight upcharge) and strawberry balsamic salad. The filet was supposed to have a gorgonzola sauce over it, which they were out of but did not notify me of, nor did they offer to bring me another sauce besides A1 steak sauce (which if you are eating a filet, you should not need!). The filet itself was not cooked properly (I had asked for medium, but it came cooked well done), but moreover than that, you legitimately could not cut through the piece of meat.
Additionally, my boyfriend for the Pick 3 Grill and the salmon was cooked to the point where it was completely charred and dry. His steak wasn't much better than mine, but the shrimp he got as a third item were great.
The waitress was very receptive to our lackluster meal...understanding that eating out isn't inexpensive anymore and the quality of what you get should match what you pay for. She discounted our meal and offered to get me something else. We tipped on the full total of the bill, before discount, because none of it was her fault - her service was great! I was just disappointed because the last time we came to this location, we both loved what we got! Hopefully the Bridgeville location will be more consistent moving forward with their kitchen staff and the quality each rotation of staff produces.
Had the walnut salmon and it was excellent. Side was warm vegetable slaw that was delicious. Sat in a booth in the bar area which is louder but good because we were able to watch hockey game while eating.
We've taken two different sets of friends two different times over the last month and it has been more miss than hit. The food is still excellent but the service has been lacking. They also seem to be having an ordering issue because several of the items have not been available on both occasions. While I still enjoy Walnut Grill, I can no longer say it is my favorite restaurant.
Was pleasantly surprised with breakfast here. Will definitely be back! Many choices and what we did pick was delicious. Thanks!
I went there with my mother who lives close by, it is a good spot for me due to the location. Food was good, waiter attentive. The calamari had too much sauce and peppers on it, but otherwise all the food was great and will go again
Not one to write reviews but had a particularly bad experience at Walnut Grill. Family arrived at 11:30am to an empty restaurant but crowded waiting area with no hostess in sight. Turns out the hostess had gone to check on to-go orders after other patrons were complaining about exceptionally long wait times. A manager came out to smooth things over and seat everyone.
Once we were finally seated, service was fine. Unfortunately the food was not. We ordered the sushi-grade ahi tuna appetizer which came out quickly; it looked beautiful but was completely frozen. Like chewing on a tuna-flavored freeze pop. Did not get better from there. We were shocked the server did not notice the completely browned lettuce in both of our chopped Cobb salads. Unappetizing is too light a word.
The sole highlight were the very good chocolate chip pancakes our kids ordered, but even their meals were accompanied by failure - this time in the form of inedibly unripe sliced pears alongside. We left $60 poorer (despite getting the tuna refunded) and almost as hungry as when we arrived.
I had previously heard nothing but good things about Walnut Grill and I’m sure we just caught them on an off day, but we will not be back to put that theory to the test anytime soon.
Noah was a great and attentive server. Frustrated that both desserts ordered came back at not being available and had to choose an alternative.
The “Really Good Reuben” lived up to its name! I loved it! Because of its ingredients, it would be helpful to automatically provide a few extra napkins for the customer. Since my friends and I like to have a conversation away from noise, we chose to sit in a booth in the main dining area, rather than in the bar. Our seats were great.
Always a pleasant dining experience. Vibrant bar atmosphere. Great appetizers.
Always a pleasant experience. Bar seating is nice, happy hour hoppin and great specials,
Our server was very slow. It took almost, 2hrs from start to finish for medium rare filets. Also is been maybe a year max since I've been there and they apparently stopped doing the complimentary bread plate at the beginning and their price for filet went up $6!
Nice relaxing late lunch. Very quiet. Food is quite good but a little pricey.
Salads are way over priced. $15 for a Pittsburgh salad with chicken. less than 2oz of chicken. #ripoff.
We were pleasantly surprised at the new menu items. The food was much better than the last time we went there. We will put you back on our list of places to go.
Food came out wrong. No management involvement. Took 20 minutes to get new dinner. Everyone was finished eating by the time the correct dinner came. Had to track down the waitress via busboy. Offered us free dessert when we came with our own cake...
