My friend had plastic in her salad but the manager gave her a gift card and comped her meal.
Perfect evening! The only things were actually a little nitpicking. My steak was rare and should have been medium. And we were never asked if we needed more beer. Otherwise, everything was perfect! We will be back!!
Had to wait a long time for food, although it was early on a Thursday evening and it wasn't crowded. Staff could be heard joking around in the back. My onion soup was very salty and not very hot, like it had been sitting in the back for a while. Water never refilled. Salad was tasty, but way over-dressed.
Waited forever to be served. Seemed totally unprepared to have people at their restaurant. Very disappointing experience
Server Diane was great. Restaurant was out of crayons for my kids, so Diane gave us two pens for them to play with. Restaurant was also out of pretzel bites which was disappointing. Overall the food was ok, but not fantastic. BBQ sauce on the pork chops was nothing special, baked potato was old and overdone. Overall a decent experience.
Our waitress was outstanding. Very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious (though both my date and I wished they would have offered a rice side-dish. It would have gone well with what each of us ordered). Bill seemed a tad on the high side but I understand they are trying to manage profitability vs. diminished capacity. The restaurant was only taking reservations and not walk-up business.
Valentines Day
Absolutely great dining experience. These folks never let us down.
It was great to get out and they had social distancing so we felt very comfortable. Hope to get back soon.
We went around 5pm on a Saturday. This is before their dinner rush. Our waitress was super cool and did a great job with everything. Our food arrived in a great time and it tasted wonderful. We also had a few drinks which were also awesome. The decor is really nice and looks really classy.
Always enjoyable!
We had an excellent New Year’s Eve celebration. The outdoor dining was warm, cozy, and the wait staff was superb. A great way to ring in the new year!
We showed up for our reservation and the owner turned us away and said they were closing early because it was slow. It’s 7pm on a Saturday.
We had made reservations on Open Table so when we arrived we expected to be seated within a reasonable timeframe. There was a sign that said to call a phone # and let the restaurant know we were there. When we did that we were told as soon as some customers finished paying their bill someone would be out to seat us. 35 minutes later the waitress came out and told us it would be a few more minutes. We appreciated the fact that the restaurant was open for outdoor dining, but with both side of the plastic awnings open there was not enough heat to keep anyone comfortable. The ceiling heaters were not giving off any heat but the motors were running and they were extremely loud. 2 of the floor patio heaters were not operating.
Had we realized that the heaters weren’t operating we would have left but by the time we did, we had ordered our food. On a more positive note, the food was very good
This is a tough time for restaurants in PA, and we wanted to give business to one of our favorite meeting, drinking and eating establishments. We sat outside on the heated patio, and even with a limited crowd and limited staffing, we were treated like it was "just another day at the office." Our server, Andrew, was attentive, and maintained an upbeat and positive approach throughout our meal. We knew going in it was going to be different kind of dining experience, and we dressed accordingly. We were not disappointed by any means, and will go back, because the wait staff and even the manager made us feel appreciated, given the dynamics. Hats Off to the Walnut Grill for keeping it going as we know it is not just a morale challenge but a margin challenge as well!
The patio was freezing!!! Thankfully, the service and food were very good!
My Son is home from the Army and with COVID restrictions, there's no indoor dining, etc. Not much to do....But, ! We found out that Walnut Grill has outdoor dining. Which was great !. We had nice table, comfort level nice due to heaters. HOWEVER !!, the guys at the next table did NOT wear their masks. If people can't dine indoor due to COVID, then if there is outdoor dining, customers should still be required to wear masks except for eating, or taking a sip their beverage(s). The waitresses wore their masks. So, why didn't they tell the guys to wear their masks until the food arrived, etc ??. It bothered me immensely.
Overall I do enjoy Walnut Grill on occasion. Good variety of food and beverage however the cocktails are extremely overpriced. Service at Bridgeville location is often not good but this trip our waitress was great!
Took well over an hour to get our order. Mine was fine, her steak was extremely undercooked. ( ordered medium well, came bloody). They comped the food, but charged for drinks. No manager ever came to apologize or explain.
Food was just ok & service was pretty bad. Really disappointed...
Loved my Thanksgiving dinner. I will do it again.
Excellent service. Sat outside
My baked potato was cold and our waitress didn't come back to check on us until I had eaten my salmon. Disappointing.
Great Sunday brunch experience!
Seated quickly and acknowledged but wait staff in a timely manner. Brunch drink specials were great. $5 for a huge Bloody Mary.l! Food was good and Josh our waiter was funny and attentive with out being annoying. We will be requesting him next time!!
Our waitress Hannah was amazing. Very attentive, kind and on top of refills, getting our food out in a timely manner and being very kind.
If you are ordering a salad, my suggestion is to order the large portion unless it is going to be a side salad. The portions are not overly generous, but in compliance with what we should be eating instead of what is normally served as a meal in a restaurant.
The mixed grill was good but only get 3 meats. The shrimp scampi was excellent. The balsamic glazed chicken was okay. The ambiance was really good.
Fantastic!
Good service and good happy hour prices. Noce social distancing during pandemic.
sat inside nice the french onion soup was cold but everything after was real good surprised bring a chain
Was looking forward to having the huervos ranches (???) breakfast but it wasn't offered on the menu. Instead we ordered the big WG breakfast. Pancakes were delicious, ham was overcooked!
Food quality has gone down....
The service was outstanding. Waitress was very helpful. The food left a lot to be desired however. The soft pretzels were over cooked and the salmon was dry. The shrimp scampi was pretty tasteless. The brussels sprouts were very good. Overall a little disappointing on the food.
The service was terrible. Waitress forgot to enter our order. Food took forever.
Ordered zucchini planks, 2 Roasted Turkey Clubs and 1 Fish sandwich with sides.
Asked if there was another cheese we could have besides American. Told us they had Cheddar, we opted for that.
Waitress brought out the Fish, it was okay, and 1 Club. Then she brought the other Club out and the bread was burnt black. Asked me if I wanted them to make me another one.
I said “Yes” and asked her if she would eat that. She took my sandwich and left my sweet potato fries. After what seemed like ages, my friend offered me half of hers. Our Cheddar cheese was shredded, not what we were expecting, but not a deal breaker.
Eventually my Club was brought out, my friend asked about the Zucchini and was told it was not prepared yet did she still want it. As everyone had finished eating she said “no”.
I asked for a take out box for my Club. I was very disappointed when I brought it home.
There was no bacon, no mustard sauce, 1 slice of tomato, half on each half of the sandwich, and a clump of shredded cheese and a few sprigs of lettuce.
I was embarrassed by the whole experience as my friends were visiting from Florida and they were picking up the check. A complete waste of money and time. Never again.
I called yesterday morning and asked to speak to a Manager, still waiting for a call back.
Followed COVID-19 precautions perfectly. Great service despite circumstances!
The food was delicious and our waiter was very nice!,
We went to dinner to celebrate my birthday and were extremely pleased with the visit.
Always a pleasure. Good food and friendly competent service.
Order was not right and then when the salmon was brought it was overcooked or possibly microwaved. They were busy but the dinner took way too long. Waitress was good. I ordered the Shrimp Bowl which is one of their better dishes. We have had better experiences there, so I will give them a pass this time.
Very good meal, extremely good service, very attentive wait staff. Too much to finish meal. Had to take home food.
Corn chowder special was delicious. After entrees we’re served our server went missing, I never received the extra romulade I requested/needed. Eventually asked busboy for more water. Celebrating a special 96th birthday, which was lovely with our server and staff presenting a sundae and singing. Lunch ended on a positive note.
