All seating outside and in the bar area is held walk-ins on a first come, first served basis.
We look forward to seeing you at Wallflower.
6th time. Outstanding food every time. Friendly, professional service. Excellent wine list. Good value. To bad 6/15 will be goodbye. Sad.
It's just the best place. Had my first date here with my girlfriend and we go back monthly. Sad to see it closing!
The restaurant is closing as of June 15, 2019. Our food was delicious but the portions were rather small and very simplified.
We are enjoying a Wallflower marathon - the minute I saw that shocking email - I booked for dinner x 3 and we just enjoyed dinner # 2 - superb food, fantastic drinks, lovely and fun staff and a great interior - we love Wallflower and will mourn its passing - but we wish the team all the best and we know they will all do fantastic - all great professionals who cut it in a very competitive field
We have frequented this wonderful neighborhood restaurant for years and are now very saddened when they are closing.
Great service and wonderful food and wine.
Heartbreaking to see this amazing restaurant closing!
Excellent food and drinks, creativity is apparent like with their appetizers - scallop crudo, duck nuggets with duck fat aoli...and extends to their cocktails, but so sad that they are closing!
Always a great time here
Everything was perfect! We’re so sad they’re closing in two weeks!
Great Mother’s Day meal. The prix fixe menu and wine pairings were superb.
Limited menu. Food very well prepared. Tasty sauces. As the evening went on got very noisy. Excellent service.
We always enjoy coming here
Amazing experience. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. All around wonderful
Everyone is really friendly, especially the bartender Warren.
Great restaurant, great food. The appetizers are stellar, entree portions are a little small, not as delicious as the apps but still hold their own. The dessert we got, an almond cake, was a little underwhelming, but overall a super wonderful experience.
Refreshing and flavorful food, impeccable service and very interesting cocktails
Very informal setting with excellent food. Service was friendly and helpful, prompt without being at all intrusive. Reminder of classic Greenwich Village dining.
The food was good but the menu is too limited. Also there are no side dishes with the main courses and nothing else to order on the side. We left still hungry after sharing a salad, two mains and a dessert. And to spend that much, have a limited option menu and to leave hungry is not the formula for coming back. Far too many options in the city for great food.
Original and flavorful dishes. Pleasant, cozy atmosphere with nice service.
The waitstaff didn’t rush us which was lovely. They did balk at bringing us more bread for our cheese plate which was surprising.
We are fans of Chef Jeremy Salamon from his work at The Eddy, so we were eager to see what he would be up to at Wallflower. What a delight! The place is cozy and warm but the food is anything but casual. Chef Jeremy has an exquisite touch with farm fresh ingredients. Our group shared several apps--the amazing carrots with walnuts; beets; feta salad and roasted oysters. But the names don't do justice to the originality of flavor. Ditto for the pan fried trout; quail and Grandma's pasta. As for desserts: divine. Loved every bite.
Very delightful restaurant experience. The food and cocktails were great. We took suggestions from our server and tried the carrots and the brook trout. The carrots, covered in walnuts and served with a carrot sauce, may have been the best I’ve ever had. Try a green lantern for really refreshing drink made with aquavit and green chartreuse.
The clam toast and French dip were obscenely delicious.. Consistent with enough surprises to keep it fresh. Service and vibe spot-on as always. Looking forward to our next visit.
Food and service were excellent however there was a very limited menu. Not a place I would take a child.
New chef (we saw him recently on CBS segment The Dish), new menu, same cozy West Village vibes. As many have commented, this is a small spot with a concise menu and great cocktails. It's the kind of place where you want to be a regular and stop-in for a drink and quick bite or go deep with a few friends. This past weekend we checked-out a bunch of new dishes and the highlights were the duck croquettes, broiled oysters, ravioli (one giant one) and quail. We had a couple of winos at our table and they were very happy with the glass pour options. Good vibes all around.
Ultimately a perfectly acceptable dining experience that was overshadowed by the fact that we waited over an hour for our table, despite having a reservation. The server tried to make up for it by taking two drinks off the bill, but the gesture seemed disproportionate to the inconvenience.
Service was great. Food is very very good
Terrific little place. Nice space. Great drinks. Charming bartender. Attentive service. The menu is quite small—some would call it precious. The food can be very good but there are a few misses. The wine list is rather high but note there are occasional BYOB/no corkage times. (Check the website on the day you’re going) But it’s definitely worth a return visit.
Can't say enough about this hidden gem! Almost don't want to lest it will be impossible to get a table:)
Our group of 4 had a deliciously wonderful evening of intimate conversation, potpourri of dishes and sinful libations. Chef Jeremy delivers! Our server from Cornwall topped our perfect evening. Thank you.
I was honestly not impressed. I was looking forward to taking my boyfriend here for a date night/to celebrate his promotion and we were both unimpressed with this place. The food was mediocre - a bit too salty and the portions were small. The prices of everything had been too high because of the portion size. And the cocktails were just ok. I felt like you could find similar foods around the area for a cheaper price/bigger portions. The ambience is cute, but that was about it.
Absolutely delicious! I am still talking and thinking about the ravioli stuffed with a soft egg and ricotta in brown butter and sage! The restaurant is also very charming - perfect for a date or a girls night out. I'm already planning my next visit.
I almost feel badly writing such a positive review, because I don’t want others to find out about this small restaurant. We had some amazing broiled oysters and duck croquette for appetizers, and whole brook trout and smoked duck breast as mains. All the other perfectly prepared. The wine list has interesting choices across a range of price points. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. The room is small but not overcrowded, and has a great vibe—lively but not too noisy. Don’t wait, go!
The food quality is extremely consistent. The chef is always looking to make things interesting by introducing or tweaking menu selections. Service is low key but professional. Thoughtful wine list.
The only reason I don't give Wallflower 5 stars is because of the ambiance and noise level. This could be mitigated if given a corner table (which I requested in my reservation) but the maître d failed to accommodate it. Otherwise, the meal was superior, food and drink delicious, service impeccable.
the space is small and tight, but it gives an intimate ambiance. The food was very exceptional, will definitely go back again.
Food is great. I just don't think the value is there. $180 for the two of us to share a few plates and a single cocktail... Can't afford that to often!
The menu is frankly very disappointing. You e gone Ina bad direction. Good luck.
Oh my goodness, Wallflower was a wonderful surprise! We came for RW week. The menu was small but well balanced. The food was absolutely delicious! The wine pairings offered were perfect. The service was great, a combination of helpful, friendly and interested. This place is small, as are the tables. But the level of noise was not overwhelming. Can’t wait to return!
Wonderful evening out
The food was great! We will definitely be back. The kitchen is small, so make sure you have time for a long dinner - there was quite a lag between our courses. Overall, the service was friendly and our server was quick with beverages.
