Wallace's Taverna

Pizza arrived very quickly, almost too quickly, which made us think that it was a reheat. The food was lukewarm also but tasted great. Just got the impression that the food wasn’t cooked fresh and definitely not steaming hot.

Always a lovely place when you want to go back in Italy for few hours! The service is good and we always love the pizza! All the waiters were nice and gentle.

I had a wonderful evening at Wallace's Taverna at a lovely table outdoors where we were kept warm and toasty with good shelter and an overhead heater as we watched the rain pour down and the waterlogged shoppers pass. The service was excellent and so very pleasant, the food was great and the ambiance so Italian. I love this restaurant and am happy to recommend it.

We'd never been to Wallace's before, but we'll definitely be back. We were looked after so well, and the food was absolutely delicious. Really authentic place, fresh ingredients and freshly made pasta. We went for a family dinner with two young children, they loved their meals. The soft drink and apple juice are authentic too which they loved.
Covid safe too, tables well spaced and sanitised. Would definitely recommend!

Delicious food and great service. Enhoyed the hake and the amaretto ice cream for dessert. Lovely restaurant and meal.

I had an enjoyable evening at Wallace’s. The staff were wonderful, very attentive and friendly. The food was tasty, though I found my main (Panfried Hake) was not hot enough. When my potato side arrived, it was scalding hot by comparison. Overall It was an enjoyable evening, but the portions were small, and it was not good value for money.

Great food, good social distancing measures good value...only the waiter was a bit cranky as one of our friend didn't make it..

Quite possibly one of the worst meals I've ever paid for. Poor service followed by poor food.

The food was excellent but we waited 50 mins for our starter, it was no doubt the pork belly which caused the delay. Mind you it was delicious, beside that glitch everything else was great, good wine list at good prices

Exceptional meal. Only a few complaints, but one critical one. The manager failed to wear his mask correctly, as it was either under his nose or he was pulling it up (on occasion). By the end of the night, he was seen walking around with no mask. I acknowledge that wearing masks for a long period of time is challenging. However, it being the first night back after lockdown this kind of behaviour is simply unacceptable. It made my group feel quite uncomfortable.
Aside from this malpractice, we had ordered a tiramisu for dessert which was never received. Upon drawing attention to this issue, the way of resolving this was to take it off our bill, and we weren’t consulted.

As usual food and service was delicious. Waiter very kindly poured a taster glass of white wine for my daughter as she wasn't familiar with any of the wines. Everything was excellent even if we had to sit outside. Can't wait to return

Surprisingly comfortable seating arrangements with wind screens and electric heating.

Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Pizza / Calzone was genuine Italian style , hearty and hit the spot.

Will definitely be back post lockdown.

Went there for a friend's birthday.
Pizzas were great, same for the beers and cherry on top the waiter offered us a Tiramisu (was yummy btw) with the birthday candle on it.

Definitely recommended, I'll go back asap (after restrictions possibly!)

Lovely early evening meal. Heaters, outside wind blockers and awning kept out the cold. Quick service, pizzas were large, tasty and authentic. Its not an overly fancy place but nice quaint spot. Buzzy down the lane of the Italian quarter.

Very friendly staff and good quality Italian food in Dublin. Plan to go back to try the pizza that is very acclaimed by other clients. Good experience!

Place was ok, too much noise from other tables but that's what you get sometimes. Weiter was good but took a little to long to get our drinks and food. Food was ok, just ok.

The food in Wallace's is delicious. The olive oil taste starter was such an education in olive oil and the main, I had the lamb Ragu & my sister had the swordfish. Cocktails are very fairly priced and they have very reasonably priced wines. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is they don't have heated lamps for terrace seating so it ended up getting uncomfortably cold. Go prepared with that in mind.

The staff are really nice! We ordered pasta and was delicious.

No heater outdoor, freezing cold, table wasn't ready when we got there, food cold and late, they forgot teas and coffees ordered with desert.. Etc a disaster

We love eating in Taverna, we are an Irish Italian family, so pretty exacting when it comes to Italian food.
The service is always really delightful and the food authentic and excellent.
We've eaten there twice since the Covid restrictions and the quality has not dipped at all.
Last Summer we brought 'La Nonna' with us, and she was v impressed, this as any Italian family will know is the height of praise!
Keep doing what you do best Taverna!

Nice place, especially if it's a nice day and you can sit outside. I've been there a few times and every time I enjoyed the pizzas and the service. One of my favourite spots in the city centre for a good pizza.

A real and friendly italian restaurant where it's possible to taste the actual tastes of the belpaese, if you look for a carbonara with chicken or a pineapples pizza this is not your place
