   The food was decent, but it is an odd scene. Its a garden-level dining room and you would think it's a "date spot" but when we went, they were blaring top 40 hits. Also the server randomly started to cry when taking our dessert order. Hopefully she was feeling overjoyed working there.

   Our 4th time there, we were disappointed that oysters on the half shell and vegetable tempura were no longer on the menu; however the food remained excellent. The "fish and chips" did not have the crispy crust found in less elegant venues but was delicious and greatly enjoyed, as were our other two choices. We shall return

   Wallabout is always amazing! I love their brunch and dinner and it's such a beautiful space. Would highly recommend.

   Really cute space . Went for brunch and had the shrimp po boy ... really good and not fried! My friends had the seafood burger and an omelette. Omelette was ok but boring , I would go for the more interesting options. We also had the bottomless brunch cocktails great deal at $15. I liked that they have a lot of non breakfast/ egg dishes in the brunch menu , the food definitely felt elevated. We saw people having the seafood charcuterie board of various raw fish .... it looked great. Definitely recommend .

   I always love to try new restaurants around the city, especially in Brooklyn. I things I loved about Wallabout were the ambiance, the decor, coziness and comfort. Very intimate. Two things definitely bothered me... 1. when it was time to order, we were told they were out of mussels oysters and ceviche. That’s not a good look for a restaurant- to run out of food. This should be told to the patrons immediately when they’re being seated not after. I made the reservation specifically for the ceviche and oysters. I was very disappointed by that. 2. We weren’t even offered dessert. If this is a reoccurring thing I don’t think I’ll go back.

   Average in presentation and creativity. I am always amazed at how restaurants that are close to Manhattan believe they can price similarly with average service and menu. Nothing really to complain about, but nothing so outstanding that the pricey menu justifies. Either they need to improve service, execute more consistently on the menu, eliminate/rethink dessert menu which was unimaginative and visually similar to a 3rd graders ideas about putting things on a plate, or price more reasonably for the experience. The dining room is very loud. In all it was a “B-, C+” experience.

    We were the only people inside the restaurant and we couldn't hear each other. Asked for the music to be turned down twice, which was done incrementally, so we picked ourselves up and moved outside. The food was fine. They provided good weather. I ordered gazpacho which tasted good but was an extremely meager serving. I subsequently went home and had dinner.
