Wakame Sushi & Asian Bistro has been open since 2009 and since been serving Minneapolis traditional and modern Asian fare ever since. Wakame offers guests food from all over Asia. While the majority of the menu comes from Japanese culinary traditions, diners will find plates from Thailand, China and Vietnam as well. If diners would prefer to eat at home over Wakame's stylish dining room, they can place an order for takeout ahead of time.For starters, Wakeme offers visitors small plates of edamame, crispy spring rolls, shishito peppers, baked green mussels, crab cheese wontons, pork gyoza, vegetable tempura and crispy soft shell crab. Entrée sections include the sushi bar, grilled entrées and noodles and fried rice specialties. While the sushi plates are the most popular, particularly hungry diners should go for the spicy miso sea bass or the apple teriyaki salmon with steamed jasmine rice.
