We live in area. Thought we’d try this restaurant out. They must have been having a bad day. No one there knew how to make the drinks ON their own menu. We watched a long conversation at the bar about making them! After all that, I got a Mai tai that was all booze, no juice at all. Generous for a bar, but horrible taste. The waiter laughed when I said it was generous on the alcohol but that I couldn’t drink it, did not take it back to the bar, and they charged us anyway. I had had two sips. We were scared of the place at this point and since the drinks came after the appetizers, we chose not to order dinner. Appetizer panko fried cauliflower we liked, one sauce was good. Other was ketchup. It’s at the tennis center, which has always had a nice view. It has loads of vegetarian choices; so maybe worth it for some folks to try.
Maui’s hidden gem! The food is locally sourced, fresh and delicious. As a vegan, I actually had several options. The atmosphere is wonderful, the waiters are friendly, and how often do you get to interact with the chef serval times? Chef Chris is passionate about the food he is serving, and it shows. Forget trying to get a reservation at Mama’s - this is every bit as good and half the price. Spread the word - this place needs to be recognized for its creative and scrumptious food!
Had a wonderful dinner! Must try those nachos- delightful. Tasty and unique homemade flour tortilla chips and creamy tangy sauce.
It was hard to find the place because it is actually in a building on the tennis courts of the Wailea golf properties, not visible to any parking lot.Fortunately they had a golf cart valet parked out front that could pick you up from the tennis parking lot and take you down there as we never would’ve found it. Also if you order the Tahitian prawns, know that they come with the shell on which makes it a little hard to eat with a salad. However the food was first rate and the wine was spot on.
Michaela and Liz were charming and friendly. It was the additional entertainment of watching a foursome play a tennis match which made for some lively betting at the table😂
Good wholesome ecofriendly fare - A great concept Chef Christopher!
Fabulous meal at this out of the way restaurant. You can tell, the chef is serious about his menu. He’s sourcing local ingredients and providing diners with creative and unusual fare. Bison burger was delish, a vegan aioli was served along side. I opted for a salad in lieu of the fries. The balsamic cashew dressing was perfection. My husband had the Blue Marlin fish and chips and he was raving about it. I stole a French fry and he was right, crispy perfection. All this, as well as a million dollar view of the sunset.
Excellent menu with incredible, high quality food and drinks. Best Mai Tai's we had on the whole island too! I'm not vegan, but I am lactose intolerant and very much appreciated all dairy-free sauces. This place is a hidden gem! Our waitress was wonderful too. Truly no complaints.
If they hope to survive (which I hope they do since we love that location/view), they need to improve their food quality, lower their prices, and improve their service. The bartender is unfriendly, the servers weren't trained obviously (ours didn't know how to open our bottle of champagne to serve), etc. Sad. Fear this spot on Maui is just cursed.
Excellent new restaurant - our new favorite on Maui!!
The food was delicious! Presentation left a little to be desired for some dishes, and the prices seemed pretty exorbitant.
The restaurant was impossible to get to. Customers are required to park across a busy street and then down a path to get to the restaurant. We drove around several for times before calling to get directions. The food was marginal. My French fries were soggy and my burger topped with a mysterious green bread.
Appetizers came out before drinks and a minute later main course arrived. Went down hill from there
Terrible. Absolutely terrible. We paid about $150 and had a terrible meal. The service was kind and friendly but the food and drinks sucked. We ordered the vegan chipotle nachos and they were disgusting. The sauce on top was runny and liquidy. And there were barely any beans. It was not only unappetizing, but kinda gross to look at. The pina colada tasted like cold, watered down milk. There was absolutely no flavor. It wasn’t sweet and tasted like neither pineapple nor coconut. The vegan blueberry cheesecake was disgusting to look at and was also served a little warm. The venison wasn’t anything special either.
The server was nice, but the staff seemed a little disorganized, young and inexperienced.
I recommended no one go to this restaurant until they fire their current chef and manager.
If you are someone interested in healthy and locally based food this is the place to go.
There is something very special about family--run restaurants and when they pair the welcoming ambience with great food they are hard to beat. Everything on the menu here is great, and with a party of seven we tried nearly everything. :) The focus on locally sourced food, especially the fish and vegetables, led to a very creative selection. The pan seared ginger-Ahi tuna was amazing, the Portobello mushroom "burger" was great and the vegan ice cream trio was delightful. This is an off the beaten path alternative to the usual offerings that is family friendly and really good. A great find!
The kitchen has an amazing view of the ocean. The food menu is limited holding true to the chef's vision. I definitely felt like I had a healthy meal
Fresh and delicious!! This is the best salad! Ever! The jackfruit tacos are equally tasty.
They weren’t open when we arrived, and they couldn’t confirm when. Employee said they were waiting for the owner to arrive and didn’t have anything to do with reservation system.
Food was amazing! Great vegan options. Service attentive
A most excellent experience. Looking for options on Maui that support healthy eating, a sustained environment but do NOT compromise on taste... EXCELLENT food .. should not be overlooked....
One family member had delicious fish. Very large portion
Wonderful way to spend our last night in Maui! We watched the sun set and the food was fresh and delicious!
Bref on déconseille.!!
Service was as slow as I've ever seen, and they were running out of everything! How do you run out of 3 out of 4 beers on a Sunday afternoon?
I attempted an on line reservation that would not allow me to request
a late afternoon time. The site was stuck at 11. Tried to call & text w/
no response. Finally asked my brother (Hamman) to make a NEW reservation
w/ 4:30 the only time left. Menu "Greek" as I'm not I phone user. If you want
older clients...make it easier.
We had a reservation for 6:30, and were running late. They made us push back an hour. At 8:30, the waitress admitted she hadn’t put in our order. She didn’t do anything to compensate us. As we left, we met a woman who was equally frustrated and had been there since 5:30. The food is lovely, but the two TVs on sports and this sort of service combined with the price don’t work for us.
Difficult to find. You park and then walk down a path hidden behind a hedge. Very windy in the open air restaurant near the tennis courts. There are sliding windows that can be closed, but had to request it before my salad blew away. Seated promptly with reservation. Server friendly, but not familiar with menu. Ahi described in menu as "white flaky fish", but meal very tasty. Menu leans toward vegetarian/vegan, but also has fish and venison. Rhubarb pie was a disappointment for true rhubarb lovers. Fine meal, but not a place I'll return to.
Half of our party is vegan so we ignored bad reviews and wanted to give this a shot. Food was sub-par especially for the price. My husband didn’t get his meal till the other 4 of us were finished. My meal came out completely cold, like it had been sitting out awhile. His was the worst though...prawns glued into their shells with cheese over wilted cheap greens & a side of fries. For $42. Very very disappointing.
We had the best dinner on our honeymoon here. Love goes into the menu and the food.
The food here was great. I had venison tacos, my husband had a bison burger. The veggies, cheese and sauces (spicy ketchup) were delicious & fresh
The team doesn’t yet have a handle on excellent customer service. Dinner came out before cocktails, several items on the menu were out of stock etc, food arrived moderately warm. French fries were noticeably from frozen.
Waited 45 min still no drinks when food arrived cold, no silverware. Asked politely @30 min in for drinks, told bartender was backed up. We left as no hope.
Had a reservation, they never checked and had no table waiting but cleaned a bad table by the door, then a nice table when we asked. We politely explained why we were leaving; they understood. Had to go to grocery store for takeout. Altogether, bad experience. They are overwhelmed and understaffed.
Just dinner. Seemed a little pricey.
Overall the food was decent, but the service was exceptionally slow. Also, it took nearly twenty minutes for a server to come to the table to take our order. The ambiance was more of a bar like setting.
I was so disappointed in this restaurant. The food was not good and the service ice was sub par. I wanted to like it but it just was not great.
Wait staff was top notch. Menu variety was limited. Mostly vegetarian meals. Didn't see any beef on the menu.
The restaurant could use better signage to find it after parking as it is tucked away by the tennis courts. They are doing a GREAT job taking Covid seriously! The food was amazing & the service great. The main issue was the blinds were broken so the table sitting facing the sun were blinded half the dinner, but could have worse things to deal with in life.
Menu was very weak for selections food was very bad I got the bison burger for 26 dollars it was a little bigger than a slider poorly cooked burger. The bun was terrible the fries were greasy and could not eat them. They did not have much for drinks and service was slow. I will never go back or recommend this place. I complained to the server and nobody cared. Plus the added a 3% tax for the employee of the month ? Really. I don't like to write bad review but this earned it
WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT AND WASTE OF MONEY
Good food. Table not not ready. Way behind on service - tons of waiting. Pretty frustrating experience
I don't know if we came on a bad night, or what exactly, but the service was pretty bad.
One minute we had a server helping us who forgot my husband's drink, and then we have an entirely different server delivering our food who didn't know who had ordered what.
The food came out before some of our drinks, even though we had been waiting for our drinks for 25 minutes. The girl making the drinks was having to look at instructions, and kept toggling back and fourth between answering the phone and making my husband's drink. She most definitely was not a professional bar tender. Food was good, but didn't live up to the hype the website claims. Location is lovely and overlooks the ocean.
Delicious farm to table food. Great atmosphere, definitely a favorite place to dine.
Very organic and health conscious dining. Cool atmosphere, feels like eating in a big tree house. Service was a little erratic.
Great find in busy Wailea. Fresh, local fare in a treehouse-like atmosphere.
