Food and concept are amazing. Everyone should eat this well! Sun-Dried tomato Mahi Mahi was delicious. The service also was terrific. They seem to know they need to work on the ambience, and have that underway. Fingers crossed all works out - I want to return and dine here next year!

This location has been doing a great job on Social Media, so we checked them out. The food is awesome, which is obviously most important. Service was attentive. Ambiance, music, and overall concept working cohesively? That could use some work. Over the top covid precautions for those concerned about that. I would recommend this place for the food and unique cocktails, absolutely.

Our service was horrible.
We had 6 guests; and 3 of us got our food a FULL HOUR(+) after first 3. In fact- the last guest to receive his food, was given it after ALL of us were done eating our food. I felt horrible given I was the birthday girl who recommended this restaurant.
That timing with the food coming out is totally unacceptable given the prices you expect people to pay. It was my birthday & although the reservation asked if it was for an occasion, there was no birthday celebration whatsoever.
I found many “Kernals” or something really hard in my Mac nut fettuccine, not sure what that was, but was not lovely.
Train your waitresses better, it was very unprofessional given what we had to pay.

Decent food. Not huge portions so if you have hungry kids don’t come here. My kids were not satisfied. The food is good. Decent meal. EVERTHING is al a carte. I had the fish tacos I thought there were very good. The drinks were also ok the Mai Tai not my favorite. Had a Smokey back flavor I don’t enjoy.

Went with a group of 5 this time and we all enjoyed everything we ordered. The drinks were really good, I had the endless summer and the Apple daiquiri. Both delicious. For dinner I had the jackfruit tacos, merlot mushroom caps, and the truffle fries. This was my third time dining here. Thank you for the good locally sourced food!

This restaurant is apparently so new that it still has the neon signs of its predecessor hanging on the walls and it just seems half-cooked. Their menu - supposed to be updated on their web site daily - wasn’t on the day we went and it’s impossible to tell the concept: Is it small plate? We were asked if we wanted appetizers but couldn’t spot the actual appetizers on the menu. Our entrees came with no sides and we got the sides we ultimately ordered long after we finished our entrees. To top it off, the restroom sink drain wasn’t connected to the sewer line and I flooded the restroom just washing my hands (the toilet also was broken).

I expected much better for Wailea. With drinks, dessert and gratuity, our meal worked out to about $90 a plate. We could have gotten a much better meal anywhere else in the area for roughly the same price.

The service was excellent! The chef was so kind when he greeted us and even brought our 2 year old complimentary French fries, which were delicious! Our waiter and the valet was excellent too. We look forward to going back and recommend this spot.

Are ya kidding me?! This Wailea restaurant is using this time in history to screw diners over. Who would have thought a so-so measly Mimosa would cost $16? That's Mama's Fish House prices for a decent Mai Tai. We've lived on Maui for 35 years, and it's so sad that the ambience, food, service, and drinks have sunk to this level. We were told we would receive a Kamaiiana rate, but we found out after requesting this rate at the restaurant that is only available for the next visit to this restaurant. We waited 20 minutes for the dessert, and then the waiter came to us and told us the dessert was off with no explanation. We are sooooo revolted! We won't be returning again. The buzz on this restaurant was all hype. We put in the reservation info to Open Table, and when we walked in, they didn't even know we had a reservation! But they seated us anyway.

I would think that a local person would know better than to try to tear down a little mom-and-pop attempting to start on September 11th in the middle of a pandemic with very little. However what we are providing is different than the mai tai you are used to with simple syrup sugar as we don't use things like that. There's no butter in the sauces or dairy and the quality is very very high as is Mama's Fish House. Our ambiance is beautiful and staff is wonderful. I understand if you had a bad time or if you wanted to message me directly so that I could fix it but says on the menu very clearly describing our discounts and for you as a local person to post a one-star review is disheartening and disappointing. we don't claim to be perfect yet. But that's exactly where we are headed. Some people that are used to servants might not be ready for what we are serving. I've been a chef my whole life and I also write reviews on restaurants. Only positive ones though the things I don't like I leave alone because I understand that possibly the person that was working there does not represent entirely the family or persons that own the establishment on every given day.

Truly disappointed. We ordered the hummus it arrived without the avocado they brought me mahi mahi in a cream sauce with sun dried tomatoes and capers, none of which I wanted. By the time our server came back to our table to check on us, my husband had finished his entree. She said the chef changed the preparation! She asked if I wanted to order something else, but by that time we just wanted to leave. They offered me a “free drink” which arrived quickly, but we didn’t really want to stay. They seem to have a strange mix of incompetence and arrogance in their approach to service. I will never go back there.

Food and drinks are very good, many healthy options. Unique dishes and drinks, very fresh ingredients. Service and execution were choppy, but friendly. With some work, this would be a good healthy alternative to much of the offerings around the area.

I have been here previously and it was amazing but this time they were very busy and ran out of food and they didn't seem to know how to handle it. My boyfriend's food was not good, he had the gyro. I had the jackfruit tacos and they were amazing. They ran out of everything we ordered and it took about 2 hours for everything. Just a poor experience but I will go back at some point. I totally understand they are a new restaurant and they were busy. I just feel like they could of treated us a bit better.

We had a fantastic dinner last week at Wailea Kitchen. Everything was excellent and you couldn’t tell they had been open just a short time. The “smoothy” shot to start the meal is a great touch. I had that shot later with cucumber vodka and it was amazing. The cocktail list is very good and we tried quite a few of them.

My wife had the pasta and it was very fresh and had excellent flavors. I had the tacos and again it was very fresh with great flavors.

When driving to the restaurant, it can be confusing as the valet is off to the side with little signage.

Overall the dinner was great and since we live close by it will a regular stop for us.

We have been here three times in the one month they have been open. Exceptionally healthy ever changing menu. Beautiful presentations. Just cool things you don’t see anywhere else. Great value, valet parking. Sits on top of the clubhouse at the Wailea Tennis Center. This place is going to go off once people get rolling again here on Maui. Chef Chris is the man. He loves to walk the floor too and get feedback from guests.

The food and service were amazing! Everyone loved their meal, even cocktails were great. Not a big wine list, but the unique signature cocktails made up for it. It was great having open air seating. Will definitely be going back!
