Food taste like heaven, owner and staff are awesome. Great drinks! Love it all!
Loved it here! We celebrated a birthday with a party of nine and couldn’t be more pleased. Had many different dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate easily. Highly recommend and I will return!
Definitely skip this place. Terrible experience. I took my girlfriend here on our last day in Maui for a great dinner and it turned out horrible. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from the “manager”. Paid money to get a reservation at 6:30 and got there and 4 people had already been waiting with no host and after another 30 minutes and 20 people behind us I finally asked the manager what was going on and in his words “we just have to wait” so unprofessional and not to mention there was only three tables taken inside with another 15 tables ready to be seated. No money back for the reservation either. I left rather spend my money else were.
Delicious food. Difficult to find but once you’re there it’s great! Service is great. Very friendly staff.
Such a great ambiance and the food is delicious! The vegan nachos are amazing!!!!
Prices are a bit steep. Service is good and drinks are awesome. Highly recommended.
Wouldn’t bother ordering wine, not worth the money. I’ve been a hostess, bartender and server and all of this service was bad. Pasta and tuna were not worth the price but ginger mushroom ahi was the better choice of the two. Wouldn’t recommend stopping here with so many other amazing choices. Nice view of the sunset though.
We had a great time here. Michaela was a lot of fun, and the food was great. I had the ceviche and Ahi Tuna, and they were both amazing.
Despite some of the questionable reviews about the quality of service, we found the food all came out in a reasonable time for a nice restaurant. The sunset view was beautiful, so no need to rush anyway.
This has to be one of mauis best restaurants. The truffle fries, fish and chips and tacos were outstanding. Good menu options at a kind of high but worth the price.
Fun place, great vibe, we all loved the food. Even got to sample a fresh papaya gin drink they were working on-delicious-if they add it to the menu, we highly recommend
The BEST restaurant in Maui. Hands down. We have tried the popular and recommended restaurants and fish houses. This restaurant beats them all. Chef Christopher Malik tailors the menu nightly to whatever locally caught/sourced fish and meat that is available. He is vegetarian and has an extensive and delicious vegetarian menu. My wife is vegetarian so we truly appreciated that aspect of the menu. He personally meets each table to ensure a great experience. The hand crafted drinks are simply the best on the island. We wish his restaurant was on the mainland!
Michaela was our server and was amazing! Friendly and helpful! The cauliflower appetizer with the three sauces was hands down everyone favorite! The bison burger, tiger prawns and seared ahi were also a hit! The owner stopped by our table to introduce himself and check in. Overall great feeling when we left! Will go back!
We really enjoyed it. Food and drinks were outstanding.
The restaurant was noisy: A lone singer with guitar was very loud, but he was excellent and we enjoyed it a lot.
The food was different, but very good. Overall, it was a great experience.
This place is amazing! Nice view of the ocean and mountains with a beautiful sunset view. It’s all open to the outside and the breeze feels so nice. The food is wonderful, I cannot recommend the onion rings or fried cauliflower enough! Especially the almond sauce on half of them, so good. Our service was awesome too, our waitress was so bubbly and nice. When we went there was a live band which was nice to listen to, but pretty loud if you’re looking for a quiet dinner. So glad we decided to try this place while in Maui!
Great place to dine in Wailea, good food and drink and the ambiance is perfect. A great place to see the sunset too!
Great spot for healthy local Hawaiian food. Atmosphere was terrific. Live music after 7pm just a perfect add on with a single guitar player.
best time to get there at sunset, nice view.
This restaurant by far is the best food I’ve had on the island !!
The food was good but overpriced for the quality, atmosphere and location.
Slow service. Watery drinks. Mediocre food.
Wonderful find. My two daughters and I had a lovely dinner. Service was excellent and the food was the best meal we had during our entire stay. We will be back.
It was my 2nd time there and I will be going back again. Great experience.
Awesome food. The sever forgot some things and did not come back to offer me another drink. Their drinks are amazing
Amazing fresh food
Under seasoned and lacking creativity. Staff is very green and needs a great deal of training. There are just too many other delicious restaurants on Maui to settle for a mediocre $40.00 entree.
Descriptions by server were very helpful. Flexible on making drinks to our needs and preferences. Food was amazing! Vegetarian friends loved it and plan to return.
Food was good but very overpriced for what you get. Overlooking tennis courts. If there is a $50 meal on the menu, I expect to feel like I am at a nice restaurant. I felt like I could have walking in from the beach and would have been in acceptable attire. Our waitress was extremely nice and the breeze was wonderful. I would not go back.
We were seated fairly quickly, but waited over 20 minutes before a server came to our table and then another 10 minutes before we got water. Wailea Kitchen has fantastic cocktails and food if you're willing to be very patient. The dragonfruit margarita was the best drink I had my entire stay on Maui. I would have tried a second cocktail, but did not want to wait 30+ minutes for it to arrive. I want to love this restaurant, but the service did not meet expectations. We actually joked with the tables around us about how long it was taking as the table next to us order was lost and they had been waiting on food for an hour and a half.
Loved this place! One of my favorite dinners on the island
We booked Wailea kitchen as there really were not many options in the area since we didn’t make reservations ahead of time. Although the reviews were spotty, we were pleasantly surprised. The owner came and greeted us and explained the concept and took our orders. The view and ambiance were lovely. Everyone including our teenage girls loved the truffle fries. The Parmesan prawns were good; however the Parmesan was a bit overwhelming for my taste (I should have known better from other restaurant experiences), so I scraped off most of it and it was good. The girls had the kids pasta which the they seemed to enjoy. The service was better than the reviews, but that may have been because half of the tables were empty and the owner was taking orders. Our drinks and food came out within reason for Hawaiian time. The biggest issue was finding where the restaurants as located. We finally parked and walked down by the tennis courts and found it- it’s hidden by the flora. There is a complimentary golf cart shuttle that took us back to the car- so fun! They are a new restaurant and likely working out the kinks.
Amazing Maui sunset views from an open air seat accompany tasty Ocean Vodka Dragon Fruit martinis and the off-the-chart seared Ahi tuna dishes. Worth every penny, but be aware it is a family restaurant with all the potential accompanying noise that might entail. The head chef is readily evident, helping serve, take orders, or mix drinks. Great experience you won’t regret!
Gluten Free Vegan incredible food! I would definitely recommend to anyone who has allergies; they menu is pretty friendly on this. The waitress was not at all knowledgeable on what had gluten or dairy; I actually almost ate something I was allergic to after she told me it was safe to eat. The Cheesecake at the end was amazing! (Vegan) I would not recommend for fine dining or a nice night out. It seemed pretty family friendly as well.
Wailea Kitchen was the highlight of my family’s Maui trip. Not only was the food incredible, so was the service. We had the treat of being served by the owner and head chef Christopher. He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and even made something special for one of our guests with dietary restrictions. Many of the menu items are vegan or vegetarian which was very exciting for the vegans in our group. Additionally, as someone who is not vegan, I was blown away by how delicious my vegan vodka pasta was. The venue was in a charming location with beautiful views, especially during sunset and the vibe was simply unmatched. Chef Christopher and his staff were a vibrant group of people who were so engaged in making sure we had the incredible dining experience that we had. Wailea kitchen is a must no matter where in Maui you are located!
Nice view of sunset.
Great meal! Loved the papaya princess and dragonfruit lemonade. Vegan nachos awesome. Overall great meal
Such a great experience! We will be back 💗
Food was okay.
Service was TERRIBLE, didn’t even give us water until 10 minutes after we were seated, continuously gave our food to the wrong table, and forgot about us after seating us in a corner behind a pillar. Manager was nice but he was the one who was serving us. Other than the manager, the girl who served us drinks had a bad attitude. Food was a long wait and not all that great for the price. For the $$$$ we spent we don’t think it was worth it.
It all sounds great on the website in terms of mission, but execution falls short based on our experience…some tasty and creative cocktails but the fish entrees were a Failure - $48 for a small piece of ahi and scoop of rice - no vegetables, dish not adequately seasoned, etc. This restaurant has a long way to go to compete with the better nearby restaurants at the same price point …
This restaurant is a little gem! When I first discovered the restaurant I checked out the menu and couldn’t wait to go. The food was absolutely amazing. Myself being plant-based and my partner enjoying meat, we can both find something to fully please us at this restaurant. The variety of food offered will definitely keep us coming back. The drink menu is phenomenal too.
Wailea Kitchen may be hard to find but it is definitely the best restaurant we experienced during our week in the Wailea/Kihei area. The wait staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. The menu offered lots of great sounding options (fish, prawns, pasta, venison, bison, tacos (filled with ahi, bison, or prawns), and many vegan options to name a few. The view was nice and the sunset was beautiful. The food was amazingly delicious. If we were on Maui longer, we would go back here again and again!! This place really is Maui's best secret and if you don't dine here, you are really missing out. The only thing to note is that the service was slow but we found that to be the case at EVERY restaurant on Maui due to the post COVID labor shortage. The good news is it allowed my wife and I to have a nice leisurely dinner!!
Absolutely awful!! It felt like someone was punking us! Service was awful! Drinks sucked!! I ordered Ahi tuna tacos-ended up getting shrimp tacos and it wasn’t even on the menu. The manager never offered to take it away or apologized he literally said “oh well that’s what they gave you-let me get you some salsa!” What a joke!!! I have never experienced anything like this piece of crap place in my life! Burnt nachos!! Just straight up sucked!!
