Great little spot for casual food and terrific sunset views at dinner. Very friendly staff, nice selection of local and imported beers, and good comfort food. It’s tucked away near the entrance to Wailea Grand Champions so watch for the sign and walkway.
Early Friday night dinner at around sunset 🌅. We had the flatbread appetizer which was very good and we both had the mahi salad. The mahi-mahi salad was really a very tasty piece of fish with a mountain of one kind of greens next to it. So, all good except the mountain of greens was too much and uninspired.
Excellent food and service!
We had a fancy cheeseburger and pesto alfredo pasta with salads. The salads were fresh and crisp and the entrees were great. The burger far surpassed Cheeseburgers in the Wailea Shopping Center. The open air setting above the Wailea Tennis Club is delightful and the views are spectacular. An excellent choice for a relative inexpensive dinner in Wailea.
James our server was great. The food was excellent and the ambiance was wonderful. Great music.
Restaurant was fine. We had a window table where we could see the sunset. We would go back.
We went here on our last night in Maui, Valentines Day, and the place was basically empty. We did have decent food and service but the place was not clean and was 90% empty. Not much ambience. We had been there a few years ago when I think it was called Joe's. That is why we went back because that time the place was vibrant and the food excellent. I will not go back.
This is a good neighborhood restaurant. Kind of noisy nothing fancy but good food.
Fun live music
Went on a Saturday night and they had a 2 person band singing that was great. The food was excellent, presentation and value very good. The service was excellent. It an open air atmosphere, casual dining and I could see watching some sports and just kicking back with friends over a few drinks.
The food was well above what I expected when we walked into this bar type restaurant. Our server James was hilarious and knowledgeable about the food. We had nachos, buffalo wings, poke bowl and an amazing burger. The cherry pie qualifies as comfort food for sure
We visited this restaurant when we were in Maui a year ago and had a nice meal and enjoyed the nice quiet setting. Unfortunately couldn't say the same for our recent visit on Friday 1/19/18. After reviewing the menu on their web site with our other 2 dining companions, we decided that it would be a good choice for dinner on our last night of our vacation. Upon arrival, we discovered that the menu for the night was no where near what was posted on line, instead it was a very limited menu if you can call that. The restaurant was woefully short staff, the place was loud and when we asked our waiter about the menu being different than the one posted on line, we got a very stern reply of "it's our menu for today and we change it daily"! Our entree took almost 3 0 minutes after we had our first course. Overall, a huge disappointment and we have had to apologize to our friends for recommending the restaurant.
Best Fried Pickles
Enjoyed a quiet dinner. Enjoyed the fish and chips, fish and burgers. Especially enjoyed the open air seating overlooking the Wailea tennis courts with a fabulous sunset.
Food had liquid smoke and it can ruin a meal
Music was good but unable to talk.
Beautiful view and awesome atmosphere.
A bit of a surprise, but nice people, good food, a nice beer and cocktail selection, and reasonable prices. We'd go back.
I ended up being violently ill after I ate the chicken salad but the rest of my party(didn’t have the chicken) was fine.
Located at the tennis club and weren’t expecting it. But the food was great and the staff was even better. They had super off menu choices for the kids - Dino chicken nuggets - and what a view.
Three of four of our orders were messed up in some way- the glass of wine ordered was from an old bottle and vinegary, the fish and chips that was ordered came out as a filet of fish with rice and veggies instead, my salad had the wrong dressing (and was extremely bitter regardless), etc. The restaurant was understaffed, service was slow and inattentive, and the food was very overpriced for quality. We love Wailea and so many of the local restaurants; we will not waste another meal on Maui at the Kitchen & Tap.
One of our favorites. We go here often. We love this place. They’ve changed the menu a bit, so we tried new things this time around. Food was good. Service was great. We still love this place!
Great food and good craft beer list. Overpriced (except happy hour 5-6pm) for the location & atmosphere. Average service and in a rear strip mall.
We found this restaurant on OpenTable and weren’t sure what to expect. We were very pleased with our meal. The quality of the food was very good. While this is a pub atmosphere, the food was much better than one would find at a pub. Would recommend to others interested in a casual night out.
Good location. Disappointing menu. Not really a dinner place. Salads and sandwiches good. One or two specials were dinner possibilities—didn’t serve bread with salads or upon arrival to table😥
Simple food done very well. Brisket and Ribs smoked to perfection. Moist flavourful and tender. Mac n cheese a nice side. A nice open air place off the beach.
Our problem with our experience was actually with our open table reservation. We made a reservation, received a confirmation, showed up in the restaurant was closed. Though open table gave us a Monday night reservation, the restaurant is closed on Monday nights, which we did not no. We were very frustrated with OpenTable to have given us and confirmed a reservation for a night the restaurant was closed. We have eaten there on other occasions, and will go again because we've always enjoyed our experience there. That particular night we were very frustrated! The above rating is in regards to previous experiences.
Although it was quite tough to find this restaurant due to lack of signage, the search was definitely worth it. Staff and service was excellent. Call before you go there so they can tell you exactly where they are located instead of you driving around the complex.
Their Lord of the Wings were big, meaty and juicy with Asian sesame being our favorite.
Beef brisket was cooked to perfection - very tender and juicy. Dry rubbed ribs were slow cooked in the smoker and the meat was just falling off the bone. Delicious!!!
Food was soooo good we had to go back the 2nd time just before we hopped on the plane to come home.
Not at all what I expected
Food was not very good fries are good Brisqette sucked
I was expecting a nice fancy restaurant
It's more like an upscale coffe shop
We walked in to live music and views of the sun setting over the ocean! How have we not visited before?!?
Food was good and inexpensive. Service was phenomenal! My husbands Arnold palmer was half full, and our waitress refilled it and had it back to the table within seconds! We will definitely be back!
Ordered the special which was ribs. They were burnt but the server said that is how they are cooked. When I told her it tastes like beef jerky they were so chewy and tough she said she would yell the cook. His response "thanks will take it in consideration" no offer to solve the problem. Will never be back and will tell my friends.
This was our third visit of the week. It was such a great experience and value that we returned again. If you want great food, a beautiful view and reasonable prices, this is the place. The smoked brisket was tender and delicious and the mac and cheese was a perfect side. They have a small but well varied menu for all tastes. And the service is excellent. We highly recommend them.
Thoroughly enjoyed this new South Maui restaurant. It has one of the more reasonably priced menus yet has wonderful choices. My wife had a burger and I had the fish and chips - both were excellent! The fish were some of the thickest pieces I've had anywhere on Maui for a fish and chips entree. We will definitely be a frequent visitor.
Great location and good food. We had chicken wings, jalapeños and nachos for appetizers and all were great. View was spectacular.
This place is a hidden gem with a spectacular sunset view, excellent food at reasonable prices and great service from the friendly staff. We ate here twice during our stay and took friends back with us.
Was not busy at all but had great service and great food. Best of all was the prices were very good for the price and also had an excellent view of the sunset.
This place is beautiful, airy, outdoor-feeling with indoor benefits (no bugs, covered area, etc)
Our food was fabulous, the server was absolutely sweet and adorable, and the atmosphere was utterly stunning.
I hope our experience with the nearly empty restaurant was rare, because I'd hate to see this place go anywhere. It was a gem!
We had a wonderful dinner at Wailea Kitchen & Tap. The food and drinks are great, and a really good value . We also enjoyed the gorgeous views and super friendly waitstaff.
Great food and friendly service. A little hard to find until you know it is in the tennis club.
It wasn't what I was expecting! It's over the Wailea Tennis club and looks like a sports bar. The menu was limited and I think it's fair to say our server was inexperienced. BUT don't let that put you off. It was a good meal and everyone was really friendly. And from our entire trip it was far and away the best value.
We were visiting Maui and wanted to get our group of 8 together for dinner. This restaurant was tucked away near the tennis club. We were delighted to easily get a large table. There was music playing which was nice and we took advantage of the happy hour specials. Everyone enjoyed their food, the service was very good. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. They also have a nice view. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. This is a very casual restaurant so there is no need to get dressed up.
