Super delicious , and very accommodating
Very Disappointed! We were there for my son's 16th birthday. We both love Asian food. I have been looking forward to eating there for a couple of years. The duck lettuce wraps were not good: the duck was dry along with the dry crunchy rice noodles did not provide the needed contrast: should be moist duck to crunchy noodles also the sauce was simple lime juice and was way too tart. My son had the steak which was very good he said. My dish was the recommended scallops and while the scallops were perfection the "soup" they swam in was a dismal failure tasting more like a savory swampy mistake. Their chefs really need to revisit these 2 dishes. Take a pass.
Too expensive for quality of food. Everything could have been 1/3 the price. The only redeeming factor was the good service
This place used to be great. No idea what happened, but has fallen off a cliff, especially in terms of quality of food. Everyone at the table felt the same. New management, something else? Really a shame.
I have eaten here several times and was disappointed this visit. I had the cod and although it was great tasting the portion was unusually small and it was extremely overpriced. The wait staff was adequate but i enjoy a waiter who engages with the table. Our guests brought a special bottle of wine with them to share at this special occasion and i was very surprised at the $25 uncorking fee. Dinner for 4 included: 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, brought our own wine, one side order, 2 desserts, 2 coffees $262+ tip = $312 Not outrageous but all in all the dining experience was underwhelming
Not as good as previous years. Waitress not friendly.
Great food and service. We will definitely be back.
I enjoyed the appetizers my entre the crispy chicken was over cooked and bland.
Had a wonderful dinner. Great service. Love the ambience.
Excellent service and food ..
Went to celebrate birthdays on our last day of vacation. Special occasion was noted on reservation but not acknowledged. Our waiter was great but as the restaurant began to fill up, he was unable to serve us: request for second glass of wine was forgotten; dessert and coffee took 30 minutes after meal was finished, etc. This is too expensive of a restaurant to be understaffed. The food is wonderful but not sure we will return.
Prices are so high that we would never go without the 2-4-1 coupon from the paper....just saying....
Way over priced for the quality. We ordered 48.00 Pho. It had cheap mix greens and a slice of beef. Horrible!
While the food was very good, the service was AWFUL. Overall, it made the experience very uncomfortable. Initially, I had wanted to order appetizers, enjoy them, and then order food; however, the waitress insisted we order them at the same time while she assured us she would "space out" the plates. Unfortunately, we had not yet finished the appetizers when plates were being cleared and the entrees had already been brought out. When we asked why the meal was being rushed, the waitress responded "we have a policy of a 15 minute period for the appetizers"; she then, rudely, asked if we wanted the entrees retuned to the kitchen to "keep warm" - which we did not. During the entree portion, our plates we're being cleared prior to everyone having finished the meal - this was after we'd spoken to her about wanting to enjoy the meal at a leisurely pace! Eventually, we just wanted to leave. The restaurant was about 25% filled and had multiple openings for reservations at the time we were eating. I'm not sure about the "policy" of only allowing your customer 15 minutes to enjoy the appetizer but for a restaurant which has been in business for 13 years in an upscale city such as Park City, and charging the prices they're charging - the customer should be allowed to enjoy the meal at whatever pace they want AND the waitstaff should listen when the customer tells them which type of service they want. If not, I doubt they will make it to 14 years.
There were 6 of us dining...4 loved the food, the other two felt is OK. My husband & I thought the food was imaginative..and our server was superb. What we all agreed on was that the restaurant is pricey...$40+ for Pho is a bit much...as was the Black Cod dish at over $40. We did have 2-for-1 coupons...so It's possible (and just a thought) that they have a special, higher priced menu the nights they offer their 2-for-1 coupons. Resort towns tend to be more higher priced...but we just came from Beaver Creek and did not encounter the same pricy-ness.
Great food with flavor and different from other establishments in the area. Our waiter was Ryan and he was great at the descriptions and recommendations. A definite repeat.
Prescott’s service was wonderful. It was a bit pricey for the lack of wow on my palate.
We stopped going to this restaurant years ago... but now their is a new head chef. Stan Battle has transformed this menu. It is now our one of our favorite restaurants in Park City. And the wait staff is great as well. Well done Bill White!
Marvelous food, imaginatively prepared.
The service was ok staff was pleasant. We ordered some cocktails, namely the ‘sake-tini’ were reminiscent of dishwater with a hint of cucumber. The menu was certainly ‘Asian fusion’ but a bit muddled and all of the dishes we ordered were not great. We ordered the miso cod, egg plant, sashimi, green beans, and none were good. Most everything lacked flavor. Certainly expected a better meal given reputation, price and the restaurant group.
The decor was with checking out! Cocktails were creative. As for the food - quality ingredients, but dishes were just okay considering the relatively expensive prices.
Had a huge crew from our eastern ski resort and dinner was amazing!
Good food nice size portions.
We had not been to Wahso for a few years and the menu is very different now. We felt like the entrees were very over priced. The food was tasty, but not as good as we remembered it, and again, just too expensive for what it was. We had the green tea and sour cherry dessert, and the sour cherry part didn't have any flavor - it was just red! They were out of the black miso cod entree that a few of us were interested in - that might have changed the review!
Awesome service, OK food.
The food was very expensive and not very good.
Didn’t love it. I love Asian cuisine but the food here lacked flavor and simply wasn’t that good.
We were in a larger corner room with big groups so he voice level was a bit higher than the main dining room. It was fun and festive for our group and BEST service we had all week in Park City.
Lost the edge they had in the past. Ithey need to mix up the menu and put some heart into it. At one time this is one of the best.
This place was awesome! The food was outstanding and the combinations of spices set it a part from so many high end places I’ve been too. Staff was excellent and the ambiance was perfect with the private table we had. The two favorite meals were the Lobster and crab ramen, and the deep sea scallops curry. Don’t remember the name of the drink but it had pineapple and vodka which was incredible!
I took my family to Washo for dinner thinking it would be a good change. Considering it has been on main street for 18 years, we thought it was a sure thing.
Although our sever was very nice, the over all service was terrible. The food was overpriced to say the least, Bill White should be ashamed. I had the "Stir Fried Ramen" with lobster; i would have been better off buying a $0.39 package of ramen and topping it with a frozen lobster tail.
Furthermore, we went to the restaurant on a snowy day- the stairs leading to the restaurant could not have been more treacherous- When we asked to use an elevator due to the fact that we were carrying a six month old child, we were told "the elevator is for handicap people only."
To sum my experience up:
-I would not recommend Washo to ANYONE, EVER.
-The service was terrible and the food was even worse.
-Cost performance 0/10.
Great food but way too expensive !! Delicious options but don't go unless there are the 2 for 1 coupons.
The greeting was exceptional at the front door. The personal interaction from there was lacking. Food was very good. Service from water to Server to bus boy was "could give a care". The efficiency was good (especially compared to Chamyo's) but it simply was not friendly.
Evenings started off well enough however 3 of our main courses were overcooked. For the high price (over $40 a main course), our expectations were higher. Would have been nice to have longer than 5 minutes between starter and main. But it is a nice ambiance and our server was friendly.
I have been at this restaurant last year and it was excellent. Perhaps, management has changed, or chef, or both, but at one of the highest priced restaurants, my expectations were much higher. I expected that at least my food be cooked. Three quarters of the eggplant that was the main ingredient was not cooked and then just when I was wondering if that it should be so hard to chew, I came across the cooked slices and they tested great. Unfortunately there were only three slices that were actually cooked. Same thing for the parsnips. The kitchen must have been overwhelmed since it was Valentine. I did not say anything, because I did not want my husband to get upset. Worse dish I have ever had. What got me was that someone in that kitchen thinks that customers are that dumb. I will never set foot in that establishment again.
We love the cozy booths at Wahso but save it for special occasions due to the prices. Entrees are all $45+ so this night we had 5 appetizers, Steamed Greens, Asian Salad, Lettuce-Wrapped Pork, Pot Stickers, and Brussel Sprouts. They were all very enjoyable and easily made a whole meal.
Service was very attentive and timely from the waitress to the water-person and bus boy - - all of them enjoyable to chat with. The noise level was pretty good since we were in our booth, but the infant in the main room apparently was not enjoying him/herself and was quite noticeable.
The 5 appetizers and 1 glass of Pinot Noir came to $88 before tax.
We took out of town guests here and had a great time. Try to get the quiet booth seating. It's lovely and my favorite place to sit. The brussel sprouts on the app menu were amazing. The edamame needed more sea salt. Two of us ate the scallops on the menu and loved the dish. The scallops were cooked to perfection. My husband had the lobster dish and really enjoyed it. Our server was friendly and outgoing. The cocktails tasted great, spicy mango margaritas, but weak. But that's a Utah thing.
Very mediocre food at exorbitant price. Do not recommend anyone eat here.
Very tasty food, fantastically friendly service, but slightly overpriced.
